Review: What a horrible movie this is! Nothing funny, nothing original, nothing exciting, dull as wallpaper. The acting is..., the script is worseand my… those special effects are everything other than realistic. Watch the Indiana Jones series, even those will not humiliate your intelligence like this one…

Summary: Eye catching, yet shallow sequel
Review: Lots of eye candy in this average ho-hum action sequel. Frasier and Weisz return as the happy couple, now with child. Same premise... with Frasier saving the world amidst nothing more going on other than the world imploding. WWF's "The Rock" is here, but not for long... he's in it for maybe 10 minutes in the beginning, and then he's in it at the end, but he is featured as a computer animated (kind of like a claymation Gumby & Pokey) Scorpion King... so there was no acting on his part. Special effects are brilliant, plot is weak, and way too many miracle after amazing miracle taking place (even by the boy). I mean, the boy should have died 6 times in this movie. On the plus side, this DVD has some neat things outside the main feature. Contains: Outakes, Eygptology 201, a quick look at the "Chamber of Doom (Universal Studios), commentary by the director (Sommers) and a look at how they did some of those amazing special effects. Brendon Frasier's "The Mummy" was a fun movie to watch and get into, plus it made Frasier a mega-star. This sequel however, I put in the same category as so many other sequals... disappointing.

Summary: All that glitters is not gold....
Review: but the glitter in this movie is certainly impressive. That's about all that can be said for this ostentation. One must credit the film-makers with one thing, however: there is no shortage of glitz. Any special effect that might have a chance of eliciting an 'ooh' or 'aah' was not left out: this film has the whole array of dazzling cgi's.Rather than concentrate on such trivialities as plot or character development, the film-makers head straight for what the audience surely wants in a summer blockbuster -- huge, spectacular, *really* unbelievable special effects. And if the idea of two Egyptian alter-egos battling it out with Japanese farming tools isn't impressive, their costumes certainly are!

Summary: What is this, a video game?
Review: I have to say that I was grievouly disappointed with the Mummy Returns. For one thing, the special effects were way over done. It made the movie look more like a video game at times, instead of a movie. The new storyline of Evie being reincarnated from the past as an ancient Pharohs daughter was also too much. I know we're talking about Hollywood, but come on! Evie was like a whole new character. She even learned how to fight all the sudden, which she could'nt do in the first movie. There's also the ripoff scene from Jurrasic Park 2 where guys get jumped in the tall grass by raptors. In TMR they use short natives instead. I'm going to avoid buying this movie when it comes out. If I buy a Mummuy Returns Video game, it will probally look the same as the movie, but at least I could play it.

Summary: AWFUL MOVIE
Review: I saw this pathetic movie when it first came out last May and was completely disappointed with it. It's got to be the worst film I've seen this year. The acting is completely lousy as is the script. There is no story at all, the movie is just a bunch of guys running around killing mummies. It's ten times worse than the abysmal first - give THE MUMMY RETURNS a skip.

Summary: Loose the kid and you MIGHT be able to enjoy the ... thing
Review: First and foremost a kid should have never been put in this movie. He was annoying throughout the whole thing! This was the main reason THE MUMMY RETURNS was ruined. Second, was The Rock really necessary? I mean, he made the story even MORE confusing! And the whole computer graphics thing with The Rock half-scorpion. Another big mistake! Third, the plot had so many holes in it! I didn't even know how almost all the things that happened, happened! If Evey was alive when Anuk-sa-na-moon was, who resurrected her? And I thought Anuk-sa-na-moon was killed in THE MUMMY. How did she all of a sudden come back all perfect? So many things were unexplained. The acting (not including the kid's) was the only thing that kinda deserved credit. My advice: Don't bother watching the sequel. The first one was the best.

Review: It was fun. a lot of SFX and more sands... however, that's it. It's Hollywood typical "everything-go-well" american movie! You cannot stop laughing during the film.But you might want to say after watching this movie, "So what?"

Review: This movie was good if you saw the first one. It was also a hard plot.The characters were good (brenden Frasiar and The Rock from the WWF The Rock I thoght was weird in this movie because he wasnt even one of the main Characters. But the reason why I reveiwed The mummy Returns is because I like Egypt and mummys.

Review: I thought that the mummy returns was alot better than the first one. i saw it 4 times already and i am planning to buy it when it comes out on video the first day!!!!. I espacially like the fact that arnold vosloo, who is so totally hot, plays in it. i was very upset at the ending, i almost cried even though arnold played the bad guy, his eyes were watery, so it made me want to cry. i think that anyone who hasnt seen this film should, it is a great movie, and im not joking either!!!!

Summary: CHILDREN AND /OR BABIES WELCOME TO THIS MOVIE
Review: Here is a movie in the same group where Jurassic park is.Just more colours and more actions. I have not watched the first one however have not lost anything . I do not know why many people love stories full of miracles, and as long as they love them, we realistic logical people will have to suffer from those so-called excellent 'must-see' movies. If you have got nothing to do, have lost your key of your apartment so that have to wait until a family member comes home to open the door, and have seen all the movies around, ok watching it is much better than waiting outside and dying of boredom (I cannot promise this movie is not boredom).
