Summary: Indiana Jones, watch out!!
Review: I could truly watch this movie over and over again. I've seen the original 1932 version, and that is [terrible] compared to this action-packed horror/adventure! It's very original, and doesn't borrow a lot of stuff from other movies, like some other modern horror movies I've seen. It does bare a resemblence to Indiana Jones adventures, but "The Mummy" is truly a must-see for horror fans like myself. The sequal, "The Mummy Returns", was just as good, but this one is more original and realistic, and the special effects are WAY better! SEE IT, and if you already have, SEE IT AGAIN!!

Review: If you liked the move, you love the DVD.As a fan of the movie, I found this DVD to whet my appetite for Mummy madness. Compete with commentary by Steven Somers, the director (on one track), Brendan Frasier (on another track) and Arnold Voslos; Imhotep, Oded Fehr; Ardeth Bay; and Kevin J. O'Connor; Bene (on yet another track), Deleted Scenes, Script to Scene, Egyptology 101, The Mummy Returns Trailer and Highlights on the Mummy Returns to name a few perks. My only beef is that it is on two discs, especially when you have movies that are putting far more on one disc. Other then that, and really that is a mild complaint, this collection is well worth it!

Summary: DVD is LOADED with extras
Review: Everything you could possibly want to know about The Mummy is included in this DVD. Besides the movie, there are numerous featurettes. Some show how certain scences were made, and others show interviews with the various actors. There are many hours of extras to watch, which really makes the DVD worth buying. The movie itself is a fun, Indiana Jones like film, which is entertaining to watch numerous times. I really recommend this DVD.

Summary: Very good horror/adventure ala INDIANA JONES!
Review: I never will be too sure if this is more adventure or horror because it takes ideas directly from the INDIANA JONES series so much. It inspires RAIDERS in the idea of lost ancient antiquities, TEMPLE OF DOOM by the scurrying flesh-eating beetles, also probably the gratuitous violence of Mummies having to regenerate from the bodies of those who defiled their tombs, and LAST CRUSADE with all of the crazy escape stunts.
I see quite a similarity pattern between characters in both films Brendan Fraser for Indiana Jones, Rachel Weisz for Marion Ravenwood, and John Hannah for Marcus Brody. It also comes as a surprise that despite silly dialogue the supporting performances are so good especially from Oded Fehr and Kevin J. O'Connor. You must really love Arnold Vosloo as Im-Ho-Tep with his bulky physique, and GOD I LOVE THOSE EVIL EYES! Good clean fun, even if it leaves you exhausted in the end.

Review: When I first saw The Mummy, I was so impressed that the film makers kept the original story line and characters. This version mixes horror, romance, and cartoonish type fighting in this wonderful movie. When this Ultimate Edition came out I knew I had to snatch it up. Believe me, THIS IS WORTH BUYING! So if you liked this movie, BUY IT!

Summary: Still Watching and it Never Gets Old
Review: This movie is probably the greatest thing that ever happened to me; I've watched it like a zillion times and I never get tired of it. The reason I gave it 5 stars is because: 1.-The hero Rick O' Connell (Brendan Frasier) is not the perfect hero type (he still makes alot of many mistakes). 2.-The mummy, Imhotep (Arnold Vosloo) is not the "Boris Karloff type", or the wrapped in bandages type of mummy; he is a completely computer-generated mummy. I wouldn't recommend this movie to 8 and below, but if you're looking for edge of your seat, nightmare creating, "I realize I need more Fiber in my diet" excitement and terror, you know where to look!!

Review: If you are craving a movie about Egypt that's main character is wrapped in toilet paper, you've got the wrong movie. This flim has a terrific storyline, great actors, and some of the best computer-graphic sences I've ever seen. If you want a sorry little love flim, you need to stay away from this movie. With an amazing touch of humor that sets this movie apart from all others, you will want to see it again and again. I know I did!
