Summary: This is such an excellent movie
Review: This is movie is so excellent. I borrowed it for two days and watched it three times. Snipes (Blade) looks so cool in his black suit and he has also got a really cool gun and sun glasses. This might be because black is my favourite colour. Maybe the vampires wasn't such an excellent idea but I would not say that they were like really bad. The effects were so cool ,just like The Matrix except maybe not so excellent. Get the DVD which has got loads of extra cool features.

Summary: You find all about action
Review: A very different vampire film with vampires using high-tech and misterious legends. Plus art of fight with Snipes and amazing PC animations. What else can you expect from an action film? All actors fit their roles perfectly especially Dorff and Snipes. A very good selection for entertainment.

Summary: The trademark Snipes wit is missing but fun anyway
Review: This is the type of movie DVD was made for. The bass and rhythm are great on the soundtrack but the dark, brooding images aren't done justice by the technology of VHS. If you're into the vampire genre then you need to own this movie for its unique offering. If you're into Snipes, as I am, you'll miss his trademark wit and coolness. But just let the sound and images wash over you, especially the opening scenes. The opening is worth replay a couple of dozen times. Enjoy.

Summary: It has it's flaws but more than makes up for it.
Review: When I had first seen some previews of "Blade", I thought the movie would most likely be stupid. After watching "Mortal Kombat: Annihilation" and "Spawn" I now know not to get my hopes up. I was suprised to discover that not only is this movie good, but it's one of my favorite movies!! They need more movies like this. It has a lot of action and an awsome opening. My only complaints are that it was stupid for them to have sunblock which really worked on vampires and it was annoying for the docter to have the cure in such a short amount of time. It was cool that a cure was possible but, @#$%, she found it in only a few days. One more complaint is that when the producers made the myth about the vampire-god, they did not specify why a vampire-god didn't really come which, according to Frost, was supposed to happen. My guess is that it was because Blade was not inside of that capsule when the lightning struck through the roof of the temple. Despite any flaw this movie had, it more than made up for it in other areas and despite anything others might think, the story was good. What I don't understand is that people have the audacity to say this movie is stupid because it has a lot of blood and gore. Anybody with commen scence can easily choose not to see a movie that is likely to have something in it they don't like. I HATE "How Stella Got Her Groove Back", but I am not going to give it a bad rating merely because it's not my type of movie. Especially if I'm dumb enough to watch it knowing that the chances are that I'm not going to like it in the first place. "Blade" is WAY better than "Lost Boys". I will admit that "Lost Boys" doesn't have the flaws like "Blade" and I personally think that "Lost Boys" is an excellent movie. "Lost Boys has a little bit of the good stuff that "Blade" doesn't and "Blade has a LOT of the good stuff "Lost Boys" doesn't. There is nothing new in "Lost Boys" and it doesn't take that much to make the movie. Blade has much more special effects, action, violence, and you can't deny the fact that they put a lot into it. If everyone was looking for a movie with hardly no action and a great story they would probabely be pretty bored. They certainly don't really have any movies with a visual combination as good as "Blade" AND a nearly flawless plot and storyline. The day movies start having BOTH of these is the day "Blade" can rightfully be considered lame.

Summary: One of the Best!!!!
Review: I thought it was great. The hole idea of a black vampire super hero was awsume and original. Stevin dorth and Wesly Snipes both did great jobs of becoming Blade and Frost. I though that none could have done it better. That black lady wasn't the best actress though ....but other then that everyone else was GREAT you should get it.....(if you like action, or vampires)

Summary: Great action flick gets a great DVD
Review: Blade is a dark and highly stylized action movie that likely won't sit well with people wanting a lighter experience. But that's the price you pay for watching a movie about vampires (which by their very nature are dark and violent). The plot is just a set up for the action and style of the flick, but it works well towards the mood and does the characters justice. The acting is also where it needs to be -- from Wesley Snipes' cool and calculating anti-hero to Stephen Dorf's over-the-top arch villian, everything hits the right notes.

Again, the action sequences are the best part, handled with style and a level of mood and violence appropriate to the part. Every fight scene is well handled and intense, and above all is a sort of twisted fun if you're in the right mood.

A note about the DVD: it's quite a good disc, with lot's of extras to make it worth buying if you've already the seen the movie. The digital transfer is also top-notch. Blade is a good example of milking the digital format for all it's worth.

Summary: Enjoyable Action-Horror Outing
Review: Blade is a highly stylish, exciting, and fast paced film. Snipes and Dorf are fine as the two adversaries. Excellent set designs, and a nice Dodge Charger help out.

Summary: THE WORST VAMPIRE MOVIE!
Review: Why do everybody like this movie, saying this is ''the best vampire movie''. What a big joke for sure! But i can understand, those people are mostly teenagers who didn't have the pleasure to watch the ''real vampires movies'', specially THE LOST BOYS-the cult teen movie of the 80s and some others great ones, like Fright Night, The Fearless Vampire Killers (a classic), Interview with the Vampire (not so good, but much better than Blade). It's just a matter of search, look and you find, at least five vampire movies better than Blade. The best of all, is certanly, The Lost Boys

Summary: the ultimate vampire slayer movie
Review: Blade is the best vampire slaying movie. Most peoplr say that John Carpenter's Vampires is the best. That movie lacked background to the story. Blade tells the viewer why he became waht he is, why he does what he does. The fighting scenes are spectacular and the special effects are excellent. The use of lighting and editing are very good and the stunts are some of the best that i have ever seen. I just can't wait until the sequel comes out.

Summary: BEST VAMPIRE MOVIE TO DATE
Review: I love this movie. Not only is the plot strong but the action is spectacular. The best adaptation of a comic book ever.
