Rating: Summary: I truely love this movie I have seen it over 30 times Review: This movie was the best movie of the vampire style I have seen in years, the portrail of Lois and Lestat was wonderful but Iwas not completely thrilled about the job that Antonio did playing as Armand. Ronald Nuttall
Rating: Summary: Indelibly realistic- Review: None the less, a work of art, by a woman that 'seemingly' knows the inward appearance of the soul of a 'vampire'. Shown as an axiom for the 21st century vampire, allowing mere mortals a glimpse into a self-righteous shroud of Elizabethan glamour. A wonderfully deceiving life-view for the non-discrept..."Wonderous, wonderous, yes, thy receivest thee news, thou shalt long for the embodiment of all..." - Wendven bon Feilstatz

Rating: Summary: An amazing film gets the DVD shaft Review: Interview with the Vampire is absolutely one of the best and beautiful films of the 90's. It completely transports you into the world of these characters, with amazing sets, cinematography, music, and a cast that transcends stereotypes(Cruise and Pitt). But the DVD treats it like a movie of the week. No extras to speak of, unless languages get you excited, and the widescreen version is of the "matted" widescreen variety, which means it looks no different than the pan and scan!!! A little more respect, please!!! Maybe a re-release will rectify the situation?
Rating: Summary: Speechless Review: This movie is truly one of the few good works of art that has made it out of Hollywood. While it may be a bit different from the novel itself, that is always to be expected in any adaptation. I love the chronicles the way they are, but the screenplay version is equally as enchanting. Tom Cruises' portrayal of Lestat was dead on. He handled Lestat's behavior extremes and fiendish passions with a remarkable flair. I easily forgot this was the same man I had seen in countless other movies and immediately slipped into the lush story. The other performer were just as appealing and skilled and I am at a loss to explain how this movie in particular was so well casted. Pitt was heartbreakingly enthralling as the ever brooding Louis, and I am still trying to figure out exactly how Kirsten Dunst managed to make the role of Claudia so unforgettable and real. As always Antonio Banderas was intense and breathtaking in the role of Armand. Even if you haven't read the chronicles, and I would suggest you do read them, the movie stands on its own as one of the best I have ever seen. Even if you have no interest in vampires whatsoever, the talent and enigmatic quality of this movie will make it your favorite.
Rating: Summary: One of the greatest vampire movies Review: This was definately one of the greatest...Cruise, Dunst, and Pitt had great chemistry. One of the few cases where I actually preferred the movie over the book (which was very boring). Leaves you chilled at some points, sad at others. Was well made and beautiful cinematically. A must see for fans of the genre.
Rating: Summary: A gothic-masterpiece of horror! Review: This movie is my absolute favorite horror movie. The quality of the plot as well as the actor's performances really brand this as a landmark in modern horror films. Even if you're not into typical horror films, this one will open your eyes...
Rating: Summary: Beautiful Review: This movie was very good. The acting was top notch, the costumes were sensational, and the accuracy to the novel was pretty good. For any of you who are convinced that a pretty face can't act (Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise), give it a chance. This movie was very well done. And for those of you who have seen it and want more, read the series. They will capture you for life! There is a LOT more in the books!
Rating: Summary: Left me speechless... Review: That ending was out of this world. Axl Rose singing Sympathy for the Devil, how appropriate to bring it all home. And it's perfect when you consider the second book in Rice's series, in which Lestat rocks out. It's almost eerie how well Rice's story, the work of Cruise, Pitt, and Banderas on the screen, and Guns N' Roses' music works so well together to give such expression to what it feels like, for me, to be alive...
