Summary: Nice entertainment, poor witchcraft portrayal!
Review: When this movie came out I was very excited! 'Finaly a nice portrait of witches!' I thought. But when I finaly saw it it came to be a deception in that matter. I study pagan religions and been into wicca for some time, and I can tell you wicca/paganism has got nothing to do with that mumbo jumbo the girls do! I only liked the occult store witch, she had something to do with the whole subject. Still, even if you know what wicca's all about, you should abstract from it and see this movie, because it's very entertaining, specialy if your a teenager in his/her wild years, but hey! don't go and fall into that misconception about witchcraft! If you're willing to go deeper into it read some good paganism books first!

Summary: A good watch, but no truth
Review: This movie, when taken at face value, is a great movie. Its fun to watch, and has enough creepy moments to last throughout it. But, I have one, problem with it.

First, I must comment on who said that this gives a good impression of witches. Yes, its better than most, but it is still false. Its probably the worst out of the bunch, especially for teen witches. It gives the impression that we're all pshycotic angst ridden outcasts, and that's just not true.

They turn the Goddess into a lusty male "God" who fills you with power. Doesn't happen folks, you aren't filled with power. Power in Wicca is knowing that TRUE power comes from wisdom.

The threefold law. At least they got part of it right. You will pay for bad things(or good) x3, but it won't make your hair fall out, or give you scars. You'll just have very bad luck.

The only part of this movie that seems to be accurate is the owner of the shop. At least someone did their homework with her. Still not completely accurate.

As I said earlier, this movie is good at face value, just don't take it seriously and you won't have any problems. If anyone wants to know what Wicca is REALLY about, email me at Bloodl7537@aol.com.

Summary: Which witch is which
Review: I do not understand how this video deserves a star. It is one of the most flakiest movies I have ever seen. Ok a girl does some magic trick with her pencil and ta da! She's a witch! And how corny is it to use your powers on a guy to get him? Don't waste your time watching this video because it really sux.

Summary: Anyone who watches this movie is pyscho!
Review: If you watch this movie and liked it you are pyscho. This movie had no plot value except to try in cash into the teen movement that was started with "Clueless". This movie was one of the dumbest movies I have ever seen.

Summary: Gives a false impression.
Review: I have to agree- it gives a false image of modern witchcraft. Wicca is a fascinating subject, and doesn't have to be stereotyped like this. Also, the film often doesn't explain what is going on.

For all that, THE CRAFT isn't without its moments, especially the parts where the new witch is alienated by the others. It's worth a rent, but I wouldn't buy it. If you're not a wiccan and know that this isn't the real thing, you should see it.

If you are a Wiccan who is offended easily, avoid THE CRAFT like the plague.

Summary: The Best Witchcraft movie EVER!!!!
Review: This is the best witchcraft (wicca) movie I have ever seen. The whole plot is good and it gives witches a good name **for once**. It sets some things straight, like the myth "witches 'worship' the devil". We **cause I'm a witch too** do not worship Satan or anything evil, and this movie helps to prove it. And it has a moral to it. If you break the law of three, **in other words if you abuse the power you are given** you will be punished. So if you are planning to buy or watch this movie, I suggest you do. Merry Meet and Blessed Be. -BuNnY

Summary: The Craft is Fun
Review: If you took this movie seriously, no wonder you didn't like it. For pure entertainment values alone, this movie is quite fun to watch. I loved the characters featured and thought the plot was fairly developed. A nice movie for a stormy night. The only thing that might come out of this as a bad thing is making witchcraft look fun when it can lead to alot of problems. Trust me, I've been there. It's freaky when you get it out of hand.

Summary: Fairuza Balk Is Frank 'N Furter's Long Lost Daughter
Review: 'The Craft' is pretty cool. It shows teenage girls in all of their bitchy and irrational "glory", only with a little twist. Four of these girls are witches, with supernatural powers. It doesn't take them long to become divided (these are girls we're talking about) and a fight over power ensues. I don't know about anyone else, but I was rooting for Nancy. Like my summary says, I'm convinced that she must be the offspring of 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show's Frank 'N Furter. Just look at the two of them!!
