Rating: Summary: Gore Galore with a Hopeless Plot Review: This takes place a few hours after the first installment in the series when Kirsty Cottin gets put in a mental hospital after witnessing her family getting brutally murdered. When a crazed psychiatrist hears Kirsty's story, he opens the gates to hell and the whole thing starts all over again. This sequel to the very popular 'Clive Barker's Hellraiser' proves to be a very poor effort. The movie mainly consists of lots of gore, and no imagination.
Rating: Summary: THIS IS THE MOVIE TO SEE IF YOU LIKE GORE! Review: I PERSONALLY LIKE THIS MOVIE THE BEST BECAUSE I LOVE HELLRAISER AND LOVE GORINESS. I THINK ITS COOL HOW IT SHOWS "ELLIOT" [DOUG BRADLEY] WHO PLAYED PINHEAD IN ALL 4 MOVIES. ANY WAY, I THINK ITS COOL HOW IT SHOWED HIM BEING MADE AND WE GOT TO SEE WHAT THE CENOBYTES LOOKED LIKE IN THEIR HUMAN LIVES. I RECOMMEND YOU SEE THIS MOVIE.
Rating: Summary: I thought it was great, the effects were awsome! Review: I have seen all the Hell Raiser movies, and I like this on the best, because it showes that he was human and it also showes lots of blood and guts, my favorite one is PIN HEAD, I think he is the best out of them all. The only bad thing is that they have come out with the same cube as in the movie, I think that is kind of spooky.
Rating: Summary: The Best of the Series Review: There are about five video releases of this film available, nevermind the ones that have gone out of print. Try and get your hands on an Uncut/Widescreen Edition (BEWARE OF EP SPEED RELEASES). Enough gore to keep the strongest of stomachs entertained, and a twisty plotline. Yes, some parts are just downright cheesy, but that's what makes the genre so great. It's nice to see hell portrayed as something other than flames and devils. I'm undecided on whether I like the first Hellraiser or this film better. This one is definitely more strange and gory than the original, and has a thicker plotline. This film begins exactly where the last one finished, and has plenty of flashbacks just incase you missed the first one. Check em both out.
Rating: Summary: The best of the Hellraisers Review: This, my friends, is THE ULTIMATE horror sequel. It deservesto stand by such greats as DAWN OF THE DEAD or THE EXORCIST 3. I'm notsaying the original's bad.. Not at all. The original is another horror classic with unlimited imagination. HELLBOUND is one of the very very horror sequels that expands and surpasses the original, with such great additions as Leviathan, Pinhead's past, hell, and extremely interesting new characters like Dr. Channard and Tiffany; you actually care about these characters and what happens to them, how many movies can you say that for? It's too confusing? WRONG! This film is very silent about the entire story, and you have to be a good listener and ADD free to understand it. The second best sequel would have to be Hellraiser Bloodline; simply because of the awesome past scene that shows the creation of Lemarchand's Lament Configuration (Puzzle Box.) But my friends, the absolute worst is Hellraiser 3: Hell on Earth. What a complete joke! Where did the frightening Pinhead from parts 1&2 go? What's with the one-liners? On top of that there IS NO STORY. Stick with the original two if you want a good story, shocking gore, great acting and imagination. Rent Hellraiser 3 if you want an experience similar to that of your average, horrible Nightmare on Elm Street/Friday the 13th sequel. Bottom Line: Hellbound Hellraiser 2 is one of the best horror films ever, period.
Rating: Summary: lame complety unessasacry sequel Review: confusing, dragging, and overdone sequel. though provides ample gore and minor shocks, its a poor follow up to the oringnal. too confusing to hold any interest.
Rating: Summary: Clare Higgins gives the movie's outstanding performance!! Review: One of the most violent and frightening films of cinema history, Hellbound Hellraiser 2 is the sequence of Hellraiser, the 1987's horror flick that revolutionized the horror gender, shocking thousands of people around the whole world, introducing the idea to bring pain and pleasure close (and this idea is also back in Hellbound, specially in the scene in which Júlia kills Kyle, and he tries to scape from her). In the making of Hellbound ,Barker just signed in as the executive producer of the film, and he passed to Tony Randel the responsibility to direct it .If you liked the first film, you will adore Hellbound. Hellraiser's sequence is even more violent and grotesque, with really intense and frightening moments. Counting with exceptional performances (as the one of the excellent English actress Clare Higgins interpreting Júlia. Higgins gives one of the strongest actings of the film, portraying a cruel woman capable to hold and kill with her arms a man. William Hope interprets Kyle MacRae, the doctor who falls in love with Kirsty and ends up being murdered by Júlia, and he is great. Clare Higgins and William Hope give the movie's outstanding performances), a experient and daring direction, that tries to innovate the Barker's original concepts without being unfaithful to them and a excellent quality production, Hellbound is one of the most fast-paced,gripping films i've seen...
Rating: Summary: The imagery and music make a very disturbing movie. Review: Hellbound: Hellraiser 2 is a fantastic movie. The gore and weird imagery are fantastically done. The makeup is superb and the plot....well, there's not much. Just the same Hellraiser-ing as the first one. See this movie... or your suffering will be legendary, even in Hell!
Rating: Summary: Weak horror film Review: The Hellraiser films are probably the most well series of horror films to the average movie goer. I have asked my friends (who don't generally watch horror movies) if they have heard of The Evil Dead series or George Romero's Living Dead series but they say no. They say yes to the Hellraiser series. Now, I liked the first Hellraiser movie. I don't consider it a huge classic of horror films like many othes do, but it had a creative touch to it that separated it from other horror films. However, the series just goes downhill from there. It angered me that they expanded the film into a series. The same thing happened to Candyman. Hellbound is a pretty bad horror film, weaker than the original. The hell they enter doesn't look like much. There's nothing special in the film, not even the visual effects which are worse than the first film, especially the doctor turned cenobite's tentacle with eyes. Stick to other Clive Barker related films like the original Hellraiser, the terrific Candyman, and the okay Lord of Illusions.
Rating: Summary: HELL IS BOUNDLESS ! Review: HELLRAISER SERIES are a must. Each part is what a true horror movie fan deserves to see,and no one but Clive Barker has ever dreamed of.Pinhead,Dr. Channard,Chatterer,Female Cenobite,Butterball,Christie,Frank,Julia and the wacky patients are out of this world.Hellbound is wonderful. You interpret some parts the way you want.As to special effects,Dr. Channard's penis-like head/umbilical cord and snake-like fingers are one of the best things in the movie.HELL IS REALLY BOUNDLESS!
