Rating: Summary: SCARY Review: Okay. The other day, I was reading a review on another site about "The Exorcist". It said all the usual stuff. It mentioned how the TV edited version is a 'desecration'. I thought to myself, "Well....if it's a 'desecration', then it won't be so scary if I watch it on TV!" So, I did. I was WRONG. The make-up alone on that girl was enough to make me go weak at the knees! And that voice....everytime I hear it, I tingle with fear. This is based on a true story (but only the writing on the stomach was true). Even if you're not that religious, it makes you think about the world around you and if there are ULTIMATE goods and bads. I know I've been thinking DEEPLY about those things now......it could happen to ANYONE....
Rating: Summary: A Masterpiece! Review: "The Exorcist" is the greatest of all horror films. It dissects the nature of evil and to what lengths evil will go to manifest itself. It's also wonderfully filmed and written. The screenplay by William Peter Blatty is a great work because it understands the story's spiritual yet psychological elements. "The Exorcist" is a masterpiece in look and feel. The cinematography is excellent as well the camera work. I have never seen a horror film of such brilliance in design and performances. "The Exorcist" is an inforgettable experience!
Rating: Summary: The scariest movie I have ever seen! Review: The Excorcist was in a nutshell, the scariest movie I have ever seen, and probobly, the scariest movie ever made. It had none of the cut 'em up gore we see today, but more of a gothic horror. See this movie!!!!

Rating: Summary: Deadly Scary!!! Review: After I saw this movie I had nightmares for 1 week. This was very unusual. This movie had great suprising scenes, mind thrilling and devilish looks. This scared the crap out of me. Today I still say it's the scariest movie I ever saw.
Rating: Summary: Still the scariest movie ever made Review: I saw it some 24 years ago when I was just 14 years old. Still scares the crap out of me ! My only dissapointment is that they did little to enhance the sound for those of use with booming home theatres. It could have been made even scarier !!!
Rating: Summary: Creepy. Review: When I was in Jr. High I used to watch horror movies as a hobby. I especially liked watching the ones that everyone said were the scariest - movies like Night of the Living Dead (not at all scary); Texas Chain Saw Massacre (gross, not scary); etc.Anyway after a long time at this, I got pretty jaded, thinking that there really weren't any scary movies out there. Then someone suggested the Exorcist. Well...my parents said I couldn't watch it. So I waited til they were on a trip and I was home alone... I rented the thing and watched it by myself late one night. Now for those of you who have already seen this, you know what the effect was. It puts things in your head that you cannot get rid of. I tried sleeping to no avail. I had that face, and worst of all that voice plastereed into my subconscious all night. I NEVER had a movie give me nightmares, but this one did. I watch it now, and yes, the special effects are sometimes a little cheesy (the spinning head), but the movie still creates an overall atmosphere of utter creepiness that has not been topped to this day.
Rating: Summary: This edition of The Exorcist is a fabulous one! Review: This version of the all time horror classic is perhaps the best ever to come about. The content of the movie itself has not been changed, which anyone who has seen the movie will agree is a good thing. The digitally remastered sound and picture make the experiance even more frightening. The addition of the "making of video", The Fear of God, is a great one. The segemnt is long enough to allow a good feeling for what went on during the difficult process of making a film such as this. Interviews with actors and actresses, the director, the special effects wizards, and others culmulate in a segement that is entertaining as well as informative, but not too long and drawn out. Fans of the widescreen format, such as myself, will appreciate that change as well. Overall, a perfect edition of a perfect movie.
Rating: Summary: Spider scene? Review: Is the Spider scene only included in the DVD format of the film
