Summary: Neat!
Review: When it's written "Wes Craven" on the front cover, you can always expect quality, and this movie is no exception. It's a very different horror movie, but maybe the genre needs something new, and the this movie is an ace. It's always fun to see Robert Englund, and even if he's not playing the main character, it lifts the movie. The main "creature" is called a "Djinn". A demon who make people's wishes come true(not a nice thing here), and who's goal is to rule the world. Andrew Divoff is great as the Djinn(has all the Djinns problems with their s-es.)

Summary: A whole different kind of Horror film- I like it!
Review: I agree 150% with Djinn's Dragon review near the top of this page. This was the best horror movie I have ever seen. There is gore, and non-gore scencs to satisfy your taste. The acting was absolouty incredible! I never once doubted if the Djinn was real. And I also think-and you may say I'm crazy- that Nethanil and the Djinn itself are both attractive.

Summary: This movie is probubly better than The Matrix
Review: I saw this movie on tv and I loved it. My Mom even liked it! And thats really really amazing. The Djinn, a brillant perversion of the the far from lovable geny in Aladdin. My favorite part was when the statue throwsthe trident at the girl and when those 4 other statues comes to life.

Summary: Be careful what you wish for!
Review: A Djin (ie. a genie), is trapped in an opal by a sorcerer so many years ago. Many years later in present day America, a young woman is performing tests on the gem. After she blows on, and then rubs the gem against her shirt, the Djin is awakened. This Djin is then freed from it's "prison" during a test involving a laser.

This movie was good, and entertaining. It had very good special effects, and the acting was great. I wish I could say the same thing for the dialogue, but I can't. Some of the dialogue were very corny. I mean, for every unfortunate person that stands in the the evil genie's way, that person is tempted to make a wish. The way these people are tempted is very corny. Besides the dialogue, the ending could've been made better. The ending isn't really that great. The dialogue and ending are what cost this movie the extra star from me.

Other than those two, this a good movie! Tammy Lauren and Andrew Divoff gave great performances as the heroine Alexandra, and the evil Djin respectively. Wes Craven triumphs again!

Summary: I claim that which is...a good horror film!
Review: One of the best horror films of the late 90s. WISHMASTER has got a lot to offer... Wes Craven was on board the production team, it starred Robert Englund, Tony Todd, Kane Hodder,Reggie Bannister (phantasm) and Angus Scrimm (Phantasm) narrated the beginning.

I especially liked the clever plot and the wishmaster (Djin) was a good horror creation. There is now a sequel available to buy but it was'nt as good as this mordern masterpiece.

I wonder if wishmaster 3 is in the works.

Summary: This movie is better than Nightmare and Hellraiser
Review: I thought it was full of eye candy and had hardly any computer effects which was good. It seemed to have a better plot than Hellraiser and didn't have to aim at the teen audience.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Few movies keep my interest long -- I still rave of this one
Review: I loved this movie! In order for a movie to keep my interest it must be different and very good. This one certainly covers both catagories. I loved it. It's the kind of thing I enjoy writing about myself.

It starts out with action, slows down, and concludes with even more action. There is action in the middle, but it's concentrated more on teaching about the Djinn (Andrew Divoff) so everything is understood better and more believable. Few movies are this believable, even true ones!

No matter how much money someone spends, there are few movies written and portrayed so well that they're this convincing!

Summary: THE SURPRISE OF THE YEAR !!!!!!!!
Review: First i thought this flick would be another dumb horror flick, just to keep us up with more and more terrible directed and acted movies. DAMN, WAS I WRONG !!!!!!!!

I was surprised with good acting (divoff), good effects (many good ones), a cool monster (djinn) and a real good story (about a wish twisting djinn).

For me its still a B-Movie, but better than some other Big-Budget so called as "blockbuster" movies which are boring me to death.

I wish a 3rd part of the wishmaster, and i wish that this one will be better than the 2nd part.

(i hope the djinn didnt hear me!)
