Review: I've heard some people say this movie either ruled or sucked. While it had some really cool parts, I think the only thing this vampire movie lacked was that they killed off the vampires way too fast. We didn't get a long fighting scene much like From Dusk Till Dawn. Hence, this movie pretty much sucked.

Summary: Kick A$$ effects and great story
Review: This movie got bad reviews but I loved it. It had a cool story line and cool effects like when the one slayer is ripped in half and a priest's brains get blown out of the back of his head onto the ceiling showing just how brutal this master of all vampires is. I'd watch it again. The lesser vampires were too lame in comparison to the main master. If you like vampire movies, go for it.

Review: Don't listen to bad press. This is a good movie, no doubt about it. It's just a little different to from the norm. Don't compare it with overblown movies that are largely superficial. This works perfectly as a solid vampire flick WITHOUT ideas above it's station

Summary: Down and dirty vampires with a great soundtrack to boot
Review: This movie is just plain fun. A treat to watch. Fresh ideas, not the same old vampire pablum. Enjoyable lead performances by James Woods, Daniel Baldwin, and Sheryl Lee. Respectable supporting work. But James Woods ad lib's steal the show. Original music featuring blues greats Steve Cropper and Duck Dunn. Also, blues band Stone. Classic southwest scenery. Don't take it too seriously. Just enjoy. After all, it's a vampire movie. Good demo DVD for Dolby 5.1 audio. Crisp, clean video transfer. Highly recommended, but not for the squeamish or narrow minded. Sheryl Lee, as a hooker, to vampire slayer James Woods "You look like you have something other than me on your mind".

Summary: LOVE CARPENTER, HATE THIS MOVIE
Review: VAMPIRES is one of the worst films of the year. See the DVD ONLY if you are a Carpenter fan so you can listen to the director's commentary, but other than that stay far, far away. James Woods and Daniel Baldwin are awful. Waste of money and time.

Summary: An insult to vampire lovers everywhere
Review: Let's get right down to all the problems with this movie: 1. They make it a point to say that guns won't hurt the vampires; yet always draw their guns and shoot them. 2. Sunlight is the only thing that kills the vampires in this film (going against the Stoker) yet while they're fighing the vampires in that old house, you can see sunlight filtering in and actually touching the vampires (which don't die as a result). 3. why waste time attaching the tow-cable thing to the vampires to pull them out into the sunlight when the Hum-V that they're in could just pull down the whole darn house, killing all the vampires at once??? And what about that whole thing where they strip that girl naked and tie her to a bed. Why did they do that?? Was it that neccessary? The list goes on and on, but I'm running out of room. See for yourself, try to count how many silly mistakes YOU can find in this cockroach. No, I take it back, save your time DO NOT SEE THIS STUPID MOVIE!!! I WISH I COULD GIVE THIS FILM NEGATIVE STARS.

Review: This is one of the stupidest movies I have ever had the dis-pleasure of sitting through. What a loathsome piece of trash! This movie will insult you if you love horror movies or vampire movies. Bram Stoker is probably turning in his grave over this cockroach of a film!!! BAAAAAAARF!

Summary: REALLY COOL
Review: I liked this movie. I usually hate vampire film but this one was good. It was funny and gory and didn't have to resort to sub-From Dusk Til Dawn type mayhem as it had a plot also. The music is also very spooky in some places.
