Summary: One of Craven's Best films.
Review: There's a serial killer by the name of Horace Pinker (Mitch Pileggi), who enjoys stalking Famillies and then Kills them. When those heinous crimes are been going for months, a young Athlete named Jonathan Parker (Peter Berg) starts dreaming and having contact with the Killer through bizarre dreams. After Jonathan and his step-father (Micheal Murphy) caught the killer. Before the murderer dies in a electric chair, Pinker transforms himself into a terrifying energy source by Needing Power and Going into Human Bodies for his Immortality. Now, it's only Jonathan could him and fight this powerful demon.

Written and Directed by Wes Craven (Scream Trilogy, The Last House on the Left, The Serpent and the Rainbow) made a very entertaining supernatural thriller, which the Director actually basically remade his own-A Nightmare on Elm Street with Hi-Tech Visual Effects with a Heavy Metal score and also a Jolting dark sense of humor. Not many critics love this film (Expect for the late-Gene Siskel, who loved this movie) and this film has become a Cult Classic on Video. There's good performances from the Cast and an Neat Direction by Craven, makes this worth seeing. DVD has an fine anamorphic Widescreen (1.85:1) transfer and an good Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround Sound. There's not much extras but if you are a fan of Craven's, this is Worth Buying. Grade:A.

Summary: Not Craven's best, but worth a look
Review: This 1989 horror flick directed by Wes Craven (Last House on the Left, Hills Have Eyes, Nightmare on Elm Street) is far from Craven's finest hour, but it is still worth a look for horror fans. The story revolves around a serial killer (Mitch Pileggi, Skinner from The X-Files) who is re-born as a spiritual, electrical force which can jump from one body to another. His target: a young athlete (Peter Berg from TV's Chicago Hope and the director of The Rundown) who shares a link with the killer. Full of uneven pacing and more than a few loose ends, Shocker still manages to be entertaining despite it's faults, and thanks to the oddball, colorful casting and Craven's directing, Shocker avoids being the piece of horror shlock it seemed destined to be. The film is backed by a rocking metal soundtrack, highlighted by Megadeth's headbanging cover of Alice Cooper's "No More Mr. Nice Guy".

Summary: The Worst Wes Craven Flick
Review: This movie started out okay. I actually enjoyed the first 45 minutes or so. Seemed like a pretty decent slasher flick. I even liked how the main character interacted with the killer through his dreams and had to be woke up before he got killed. Very reminiscent of Nightmare on Elm St. But after they caught the killer and executed him by the electric chair and he became an electro ghost killer (for lack of a better phrase) the movie just got flushed down the toilet. I think I dropped a whole star after the scene in the tv. It doesn't get much more horrible than that. I don't mind cheese in horror flicks. Its common. But I literally felt embarassed in front of the other people watching this with me cuz I rented it. I bet Craven doesn't put this one on his resume. 2 stars for the first 45 minutes that were okay.

Summary: Roland
Review: This movie was well worth the money i spent. The overall movie was great, the soundtrack is really good, and the picture quality looks really well for an 80's movie. Not much gore except for a couple of scenes, but still a great movie to own.The madman in this film,Horace Pinker played by (Mitch Pileggi)plays a great murderer. The highschool kid Johnathan Parker (Peter Berg), can be dull at times, but still doesnt do too bad. I've watched this movie a couple of times, and will probably watch it again in the future. If your thinking of getting it,its well worth your time and money. On a scale of 1-10,i would give it a 9.

Summary: ELECTRIFYING!!!!
Review: This Wes Craven post-Freddy attempt is one of his slickest and most commercial-looking films. I like "Last House..." and "Hills Have Eyes.." but I think his style also looks really good in a cleaner setting. This one is maybe a little to close to the "Nightmare...' flicks, but it's enough of a depature to seem like someone else could have directed it also. There's a lot of actual emotion in this one, and Mitch Pileggi is awesomely bad-ass as Horace Pinker (which I think is a classic name). Plus, electricity AND boy-hopping make a great evil superpowers combo. Lots of fun, and even a little touching. Totally underrated.
