Rating: Summary: Not Nice to Make Fun of a Leprechaun Review: This is a goofy horror movie that could have actually been something were it not for the silliness that appears before our eyes. Instead of just working with its premise (an evil leprechuan is resurrected and kills anyone in his way of getting his gold back), it decides to make a mini-Freddy out of Warwick Davis. Jennifer Aniston makes her film debut here, and obviously never mentions it now. Her best line in this film is "That was no f*@#in' bear". Classic stupid horror dialogue.
This movie could have actually been scary, even with the low budget. The problem is, it has too many weird scenes that are trying to be played for laughs. For example, the Leprechaun driving a little car down the road and gets pulled over by a cop. The cop says "Aren't you a little young to be driving?", the Leprechaun responds with "No. I'm 600 years old."
The opening of the film had promise with a creepy scene involving the Leprechaun killing off this old man's wife, then talking to him in her voice to threaten him. Then from there, it goes completely downhill. Oddly enough, this is an entertaining movie to enjoy in the middle of the night with a glass of Green River soda on St. Patrick's Day, considering it's shown every year on tv.
Rating: Summary: Cheesy, silly, fun Review: This is another of my fav movies. This first installment beats out the second and comes close to the third. Warwick is hilariously funny as the Leprechaun, and its too bad that he's one of Hollywood's underappriciated actors. If you like cheesy, campy fun this movie is definately for you!
Rating: Summary: "Jennifer Aniston" Review: This is one of Jennifer Aniston's best work. Though she has done better in Friends as Rachel Green. She is now pregnant and married to Brad Pitt! The movie is RECCOMENDED! Outrageously Funny and scary! I honestly think te little green horror is scary! Though the rest of the sequels aren't as good1 Jennifer Aniston is my favority heroine!
Rating: Summary: You'll be sorry. Review: This is one of the most mesmorizingly awful horror movies I've ever seen! Irritatingly inept and insipid, this slasher has dubious jokes, sharp shocks of gore, ill logic, and mind-numbing predictability to make you wish you had rented something else. The movie is so banal you can play "Mystery Science Theatre" while watching it. Even Halloween 6 would do the job better! While wathcing this movie on T.V. I can remember what my Dad said after commercial breaks: "Aw, we have to watch the movie? I was hoping we could watch more commercials!" That statement should tell you something.
Rating: Summary: leprechaun Review: this movie is a definite blend of horror and comedy. What is better than a short little leprechaun running around trying to find his pot of gold. A definite film for people who like these type(horror-comedy) of films.
Rating: Summary: Leprechaun Review: This movie is a great horror/comedy flick. It is hillarious at times but serious at others, people will no longer look at Leprechauns the same again. I also bet you won't go sticking your hands in tree holes either. Buy it now.
Rating: Summary: Not What You Expected.... Review: This movie is all right. It's kind of silly, and stupid. It's not really a horror movie, you can say. So don't expect it to be scary. But, there was some scary parts. Like when they couldn't find the Leprechaun in the yard. Don't expect it to be fabulos. But I gave it some credit. And it's a little bit scary. But, it's really not a horror movie.
Rating: Summary: ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Review: This movie was absolutely ridiculous. I mean how can you honestly make some little leprechaun be frigtening, and why did they try so hard? Jennifer Aniston does a pretty decent job in this movie, though it's interesting to see that although her nose has changed her facial expressions haven't. If you need a good laugh, and are willing to give up a few hours of movie time that could be better spent, get this movie. Otherwise, I would just keep on walking. I mean, who honestly wants to see a little leprechaun run around, especially when he's chasing shoes so the good guys can escape.
Rating: Summary: I thought this movie was funny and a bit gory. Review: This movie was great horror film and comedy film. I thought the way they made him look was a great resemblence to a Leprechaun. The accent sound like a actual Irish person.
