Summary: not a very good movie
Review: i rented this film, and i must say that the plot is really not very good. one would expect that the pinhead would be slashing, and sending his evil henchmen to attack the mortals, but since the first scene the film is just a bore and there is too much of run around. a plot builds to another plot that leads to nowhere from my point of view. this movie was under the new releases, and it had on the box cover mentioning how good it was.
this is an important message to all horror film fans "if the movie does not make it to your theatre it probably aint worth to see at all" hell raiser inferno is all hype. there are no star actors at all. not recommended.

Summary: Not as bad as you'd expect
Review: Well, I was extremely bored so I hit the video store and decided to pick up some flicks that could kill some time. I'd always been a fan of the Hellraiser series, well at least the first two, so I decided to see what "Inferno" had to offer. I didn't throw this one in expecting too much, and maybe that was a good thing. The film is definitely a departure of the style that defined the series and it takes the series off in an entirely new direction.

I have to say that is a good thing.

Now before you jump all over me realize that the last couple Hellraiser movies weren't that great. The series needed a new breathe of life. This movie is just that. Like some other reviewers have stated this movie goes way beyond what you might expect. It isn't "Pinhead kills more random people: Prt. 5." This movie really doesn't revolve around Pinhead so much as it does the core ideas that were unveiled in the first two films. Sure Pinhead is in it for a bit, here and there, but not very often. With that said, the movie is still pretty good.

It isn't great... but it was just what the Hellraiser series needed. At least in my opinion. If you are a horror fan who likes psychological mind-trips then I recommend this film. I didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised.

Summary: HELLRAISER 5 INFERNO
Review: WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH THIS FILM IS, TOTALLY DOES NOT DESERVE TO HAVE THE NAME "HELLRAISER" AS IT HAS ABSOULUTLY NOTHING TO DO WITH THE 1ST 4 HELLRAISER MOVIES. PINHEAD SEEMED WEAK AND NOT EVIL AT ALL BUT GOOD AND HE WAS HARDLY EVEN IN IT. ALTHOUGH HE WAS HARDLY IN THE FIRST 2 THE STORY AND OTHER CHARACTERS HELD THE SHOCKING STORYLINE TOGETHER BUT IN THIS MOVIE(IF U CAN CALL IT THAT) THIS IS NOT THE CASE. THIS MOVIE WAS VERY BORING, CONFUSING AND UTTERLY CRAP. THE STORY LINE WAS WEAK THE ACTING WAS NEXT TO NON EXSISTANT/BELIEVEABLE, IT WAS LIKE A RE-USED CHEAP TV "COP CHASES SERIAL KILLER"MOVIE THAT SOMEHOW GOT EDITED INTO A NEW HELLRAISER SEQUAL. THIS WAS THE 1ST HELLRAISER MOVIE THAT ORIGINAL DIRECTOR/PRODUCER CLIVE BARKER HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH AND IT SHOWS, I REALLY HOPE THAT THE NEW PRODUCERS OF THIS MOVIE RE-THINK BEFORE UNLEASHING ANOTHER HELLRAISER SEQUAL UPON US AND I HOPE THERE IS SOME SORT OF LAW WHERE CLIVE BARKER CAN SUE THE NEW COMPANY FOR REWINING HIS PERFECTLY SCARY CREATION.
TRUST ME IF YOUR A HELLRAISER FAN LIKE I AM THEN DONT WAIST YOUR GOOD HARD EARNED CASH ON THIS FILM, DISREGARD IT AS A PART OF THE HELLRAISER LEGACY AND SEE IT AS A CHEAP TV MOVIE THAT STOLE ONE OF THE WORLDS BEST LOVED HORROR CHARACTERS.

Summary: Plot's gone to HELL!
Review: ...The effects are brilliant, I liked the occasional 'made-yer-jump' bits, but it does not feel like a 'Hellraiser' film. The direction is well done and made rather trippy and Pinhead became a background-baddie (as in the first film) but the plot loses itself in confusion. The characters are unlikable, and even Doug Bradley didn't put much effort into his much under-exposed role as Pinhead. Perhaps he's had enough, I know I have, this once brilliant saga of films has now become tiresome and empty, I think this could be the final nail in the coffin. It seemed so good, but failed to live up to my hopes. A shame.

'Hellraiser': 1987-2000 (R.I.P. Pinhead)

Summary: Not a Hellraiser Movie
Review: What a let-down...."Hellraiser-Inferno" is so un-Hellraiser-like that one has to wonder why this movie was made in the first place. A corrupt detective (Craig Sheffer) stumbles across the evil-puzzle box but rather than unleashing Pinhead and his Cenobites, Sheffer is brought into a not-so nightmarish world where dreams and reality become confused...his character investigates a series of gruesome murders that seem to center around him and ultimately he comes to grips with how his own destructive lifestyle has created a hell that he can never escape from. Unfortunately, there is no expansion of the tried & true Hellraiser mythos from the first 4 movies. I can appreciate how the producers/writers wanted to take the series in a new direction, but this is not it. Hellraiser is about Pinhead...ripping flesh and stealing souls, and how ordinary characters fight against his fiendish minions. This movie has none of that, what a disappointment. Pinhead has a lesser role in "Inferno" than The Rock did in "The Mummy Returns."

Summary: It deserves no stars
Review: If you take the 5 minutes Pinhead is in the movie out, you wouldn't know it was a Hellraiser film. This is like an urban detective story set in l.a. that is so boring I'd rather watch crap like Friday the 13th or a Wes Craven film. It sucks that bad!! If you want a dull police story with dumb characters, a stupid plot, 90 minutes of boredom then this is your movie. If you want some true horror try Hellraiser 1,2,4 (but avoid part3),Lucio Fulci, or something by Dario Argento

Summary: I would have rather been torn apart by the cenobites
Review: Okay, You can read the plot and such on one of the other reviews, this is just what I thought. As I was watching the movie I was wondering if it truly was a hellraiser movie. It almost seemed that for somereason the company really wanted to produce this movie but couldnt think of a way to do it. SO they added some scenes with cenobites and called it the next hellraiser. It is so bad, I actually wished that someone would put me out of my misery as I was watching it. I can truly say this is probably the worst movie I have ever seen and I can't tell you how much it takes to attain that title(I have seen some really really bad movies). Watch this movie if you dare, the acting and script writing should scare the socks of you.

Summary: A Mixed blessing
Review: I can't say all of this for Hellraiser fans who might disown this movie due to the storyline and the appearence of Pinhead. However i was disappointed but i did enjoy the movie, after all the acting, the script, and some of the fx were good. It involves a corrupt cop (Craig Sheffer) who realizes after he solved the Lamont Confriguation (The Puzzle Box)he meets tragic deaths and he dosen't understand why. It turns out that he was in helland he didn't know it until he faced his own demons and his judge Pinhead (Doug Bradely) who well damn his soul forever. The storyline was interesting in a unique way because it had some suspense in it. Now what I didn't like about Hellraiser: Inferno is that Pinhead was in it about 2-3minutes and that was it. The DVD features a interesting interview with Doug Bradley (Pinhead) which is about 5 mins or so and Secrets of Hellraiser revealed. Over all a good movie but should have been better.

Summary: Ummm, Did someone say this is a Hellraiser Movie?
Review: Okay, I've watched this movie twice now, and although I don't think it is bad....I just don't get the feel of this being a Hellraiser movie, I think the positive reviews on this movie are misleading to people who haven't seen it. I'm sorry, when the name is Hellraiser I DO expect to see Pinhead more than just a few minutes. This is NOT a hellraiser movie, nor will it ever be. They should have called it "The Finger Killer" with a special guest appearence by Doug Bradley as Pinhead. If you haven't seen this movie, I'll gladly let you borrow mine, don't even rent it...I'm sorry I bought it.

Summary: Hellraiser Inferno
Review: The fifth movie in the Hellraiser series was definitely the most unique. The fact that it was more Macabre and Gothic than the last movies was really a turn on. It played tricks on your mind and made you figure the whole thing out, only to relaize what you THOUGHT happened, was exactly what didn't. It was also refreshing to see so little of Pinhead and the old Cenobites from the past, and introduced new Cenobites, with new,errr..."personalities". This movie, compared to the others, scared me a lot more, and was just a little less of a slasher than the others. Definitely worth your time if you liked the other movies in the series.
