Summary: Very disappointing...
Review: I love Dee Snider and Twisted Sister and I read about this repeatedly in Fangoria. It was to be the end-all of horror movies, yet the editing was ill-paced, some of the acting was terrible and Captain Howdy pontificated HIGHLY too much. Potential was there, but it simply was not unique enough, nor was it as horrific as everyone said it would be...

Summary: Absolutely incredible!
Review: If there is one 90's movie that is truly great, it has to be this one. A killer soundtrack; dark, mysterious, settings; good acting; well directed; and torture scenes. What more could you possibly want? Nothing.

Summary: A New Twist On Horror.
Review: I saw this film in the thearter. The soundtrack is fantastic. However the acting was par,but I give Dee an A+ for his first big role and a great story. It's been a long time since any movie came along that made you think,Hey there are probably people out there that do exactly that.So kudos to Dee for coming up with a story line that could make the headlines in any newspaper anywhere!

Summary: THIS ROCKS!!!
Review: This has to be the best movie I have ever seen. In three days I have watched it 5 times. Dee Snider is the man. I felt kinda sorry for CaptHowdy though. The music in this movie is incredible also. You should get the soundtrack as well as the movie. I loved Strangeland and I love CaptHowdy!!!!!!!!

Summary: I could of done without the philosophy
Review: I liked the storyline and the creepy situation of anyone being fooled and lured into a madman's home. I loved that Robert Englund was in it and looked normal. I got annoyed with Dee Snider's voice and his attempt to be menacing... The movie overall was good, I expected it to be more freaky. I thought it was funny that people in the movies with body peircings and tattoo's were all depicted as freaky weirdos who were different and set away from the rest of society. I know so many people who have tattoo's and piercings and they aren't any darker or mysterious. They don't go to crazy goth clubs and brand themselves on a table. All in all I gave this movie three stars because 1. I really liked the music throughout it. 2. Robert Englund is in it 3. Some of the tattoo's are really cool.

Summary: Not As Good As Expected
Review: By what I had read here on the reviews the other day, I thought this was going to be a better-than-average movie. Turns out it was okay, but nothing great. There are some good ideas, and the plot sounded interesting, but I thought that the movie just didn't fullfill what it could've. I admit that it had its moments here and there, but not totally. Dee Snider did a pretty good job though. The scenes with the people in his torture chamber were quite bizarre and twisted I have to admit. I just think that the movie could've been better. I wouldn't even really consider this a horror flick. If you want that, pick up the Evil Dead Collector's Edition. Now that's horror.

Summary: Strangeland was messed up!!!!!

Summary: This movie is screwed up...but interesting.
Review: If you think you have seen it all with horror movies, this one just spits it right back at you. The torture scenes are the most disgusting, stomach turning things you have ever seen. People under the stairs couldn't have been spookier. Then, you think"What if there WERE a guy like this? Then, you shiver.

Summary: Killer!
Review: Finally we have a bad guy who is actually frightening! I thought Dee was excellent in this movie! Capt. Howdy was indeed wicked!!! Not since Jason in the first few Friday the 13ths have I actually been stimulated and frightened by the sight of the bad guy. This movie wasn't purely a slasher/horror film (i.e. Scream) It addressed all sort of issues, ranging from rehabilitation of violent criminals to the hypocrisy of our justice system and the hypocrisy humanity in general. Very well done on the shock level, as well as the mental level!!!
