Summary: Kevin Bacon and eggs
Review: They could very easily have called this film "Chopping The Sea Noodle." Being an animal lover, I seldom enjoy films that do not have octopi in them, but this one was okay because dead people doing stuff sometimes make you think about stuff one wouldn't ordinarily think about. Man, this movie would have been better if I'd had some popcorn, but it makes me somewhat gassy. The popcorn I mean.

Summary: First of all....I liked it.
Review: First of all....I liked it. Now here's a story of a boy who can see dead people...no I am not talking about the Bruce Willis movie, but Kevin Bacon's. The difference...while the little boy can see dead people...so can the dad. Stir of Echoes has the son seeing people he doesn't want to see and giving messages to people who may not want to hear them. Bacon, while at a party, gets hypnotized and the hypnotist throws a suggestion in his mind for Bacon to be more "open minded"...this leads to his new "look" on life or death depending on your perspective. The filming is gritty, has some intense scenes, and a bit of the "oh wow" that comes from the audience makes for a great viewing experience. Stir of Echoes far surpasses the storyline of "Sixth Sense", but falls short at the box office. Bottom line...while some film storylines die right away...this one lives on and on and on.

Summary: GREAT MOVIE
Review: The main reason i got this movie is that a friend told me that it was awesome. So i picked it up and i was amazed. This is one DVD that you will want in your collection. The sounds the comes through with Dolby Digital 5.1 is amazing, it creates the enviroment. I don't want to give any of the movie away, just that if you like suspence, you will really like this.

One thing a lot of people complained about was that the back said 16:9 Full Screen Version, well what i think is ment by this (I maybe wrong) is that it is formatted for Widescreen TV sets. If you have a traditional one (Like I do) it comes it in letter box. Most DVD's say the aspect ratio, and the say if they are formated for widescreen tv's.

Summary: AN AWESOME MOVIE!
Review: Turn out the lights, and put on STir of Echoes! This was one of the best movies of 1999, it has an interesting story, really great dialogue(alot of which seems to come from Ileana douglas), and suspense! i had my share of the shivers that night! it is a great suspense film, and kevin bacon does some of his best acting. i don't want to give too much away... watch it! buy it! just see this movie -- you won't be disappointed!

Summary: Turned Out Better Than I Thought!
Review: I went into this film thinking "I just saw the 6th Sense & Stir of Echoes is a rip-off" -- I was wrong! It has a story all it's own (except for the ghost). Kevin Bacon did a good job and that big-eyed little kid is creepy.

People who compare this to the 6th Sense, see it anyway and find out they're different stories, just similar on the surface.

Summary: A viewer
Review: O.K., I've tried to write this review 4 times and each one sounds more pretentious then the last. Bottom line - this is a good movie. 'Stir of Echoes' sets the mood quickly. In my case, uneasiness and in my wifes case, a sense of dread. The movie depicts an apparently normal blue collar family whose son talks to a dead girl. Dad (Bacon), after being hynotized at a party, starts having strange and horrible visions; he also starts seeing the ghost of the same dead girl in his living room; a ghost that wants something. 'Stir of Echoes' deserves to stand on it's own and not be compared to 'The Sixth Sense.' I personally think 'Stir' is better. If you failed to see this movie because you thought it was a "Sixth Sense' rip-off, do yourself a BIG favor and SEE IT. It is well worth the investment of your money and time.

Summary: widescreen format?
Review: The plot of Stir of Echoes may be a tad predictable to anyone who has seen a lot of ghost/horror movies, but the film is very well made, with superb performances (especially from the ever reliable Bacon) and some well-directed tension and chills in its story of a regular guy who allows himself to be hypnotised at a party, after which he starts seeing ghosts and having premonitions. The DVD advertises itself as fullscreen format, but as far as I could see this simply means that widescreen lovers such as myself can view it in their preferred ratio so long as they ensure the widescreen facility on their DVD player is switched on.

Summary: Tingle Fear
Review: I really liked this movie, and I thought that Kevin Bacon did an excellent job. Basically everyone did great. There were moments when you got thin tingely feeling, and kind of jumpy. I loved it.
