Summary: What a box set....
Review: Basically, if you like the film, you are going to love the box set. I got mine through the post this morning. Here in Britain we don't get too many box sets, and the ones that we do get aren't too good. But this is amazing. The Box itself is well made and looks wonderful. The video contains an excellent widescreen print of the film (wonderful quality)plus the BBC documentary The Fear of God - 25 Years of The Exorcist. Incidentally, this is a different version to the one shown on the BBC - it doesn't feature Mark Kermode at all, or the interviews at the BBFC (which are out of date now anyway) presumably as this video was to be released in America. It does feature some extras not in the original doc, for example - it's structured differently, with the Spider Walk being slightly differently edited, along with extra snippets of interviews and a couple of extra behind the scenes films. Plus an introduction by William Friedkin, the director. There is also a very nice booklet detailing the film's history, a CD with music (no tubular bells - which has also been edited out of the documentary. Copyright problems?)from the film and the original score, plus a film frame and 8 lobby cards. It doesn't seem as if Warners have sabved money anywhere, except for the fact that I would have liked the documentary and film on different tapes, and would have liked to have seen the meeting with the doctor that was cut (I believe that it is on the DVD). Anyway, it is still well worth having.

Summary: The best thriller of all time
Review: This movie was made to be watched late at night. The scariest movie that I've ever seen. Even though I saw it over a year ago, I'm still afraid that Reagon will be laying in my bed with all those whispers and pea-soup vaumets all over. That's how I like it.

Summary: Pea soup anybody?
Review: God almighty, get that extra "spider walking" sequence out of my head! DVD includes scenes not in original release (and the original "Casablanca" type ending as well). Remains one of the scariest movies ever. Watch with the lights out and you'll sleep with the lights on.

Summary: True Classic!!!!
Review: I'm 31 years old and I could not watch this film till I was 16. I still remember all the talk in the early 70's about what she did with the cross. Everyone was shocked that the allowed that on film. See what happens if you play with CAPTAIN HOWDY! Again a Classic!!

Summary: Substancial, but the same as the original
Review: The 25th annivarsay edition of the Exorcist I found to be less than i had hoped for. In the thirty minute explination they explained some footage that was shot, but never put in. I hoped that they had put some of this footage in this new edition, but they only 'cleaned' it up a bit, but it was a great movie any how.

Summary: IT'S THE BEST HORROR MOVIE EVER SEEN
Review: I THINK THE EXORCIST IS THE BEST BOOK-MOVIE EVER SEEN 'CAUSE IS NOT A COMMON HORROR TOPIC. MOST PEOPLE GOTTA SEE IT AND MOST OF THEME WON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT IS GOING ON BECAUSE THEY ARE JUST ABLE TO SEE LIVING DEADS MOVIES. I THINK THAT YOU HAVE TO BE SOME KIND OF AN EXPERT TO DO A MOVIE LIKE THIS. FOR ME THIS IS A BIG GOAL...

Summary: Another Great Story of Horror.
Review: After seeing this movie for the first time, I was overwhelmed by the power of it. This is a great movie and should not be missed by any fan of Horror movies. The acting and special effects are all top-notch and the voice overs are also a wonderful treat. The extra features in this movie are the best that i have seen yet. It includes a full segment on the making of the film and it even shows an alternate ending and deleted scenes. This is one of those movies that you have to watch with the lights off and the volume up.

A great classic and still one of my favourites.

Summary: WARNING: do not watch this film alone!
Review: The Exorcist is truly in a class of its own. This film re-defines horror! Films like "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and "Friday the 13th" are like the Teletubbies in comparison! After seeing this movie, I was afraid to go to sleep at night. I'm surprised the The Exorcist wasn't re-released in the theaters for its 25th Anniversary Special Edition.
