Summary: This ain't no nightmare on elm street
Review: This movie is the scariest movie that I have ever seen. The whole story line was awesome and the characters were out of this world. It had you wondering what was going to happen next and had a boring moment.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Entertaining
Review: The movie itself never scared me. What did scare me was to sit and think, "What if this happened to me?" But when Linda Blair wasnt in the picture, it was dull.

Summary: this movie kicks @$$
Review: Blatty is an amazing director who realized that demon possesed little girls can scare the crap out of people. I builds up raw suspense until that one half hour when good fight against evil and wins. Then, they decided to make the sequels.

Summary: not too scary, but still okay
Review: This movie was not scary in the slightest. The entire film experience was spent wondering when it was going to actually frighten me. I suppose you need to be a demon fearing christian to find this one scary. I did enjoyed the story and the characters, though.

Summary: CAUTION: don't watch this movie alone
Review: well needless to say i am a big horror movie fan i have seen'em all, but this movie is unlike any other, it's all about a 12 year old girl who is possessed by a demon and all this weird stuff starts happening to her, her voice changes and her face starts to decompose or something, i swear that the exorcist scared me soo much i didn't sleep the night i watched it, until this day it still gives me the creeps, i have no idea how William did it but he managed to scare the living day lights out of me, so here's some advise: DON'T WATCH THIS MOVIE IF YOU LIVE ALONE OR IF YOUR BOY/GIRL FRIEND ISN'T AROUND...trust me..well i warned you...c ya

Summary: (sigh)
Review: This movie is in my opinion the master horror flick...it scared me when I watched it and I still haven't fully gotten over it...The reason it is so scary is that it hits right near home...it asks the real questions...is God real? What if this happened to me?? Now the real question for me is...do I want to read the book???

Summary: THIS MOVIE REALLY MESSED WITH MY HEAD!!!!!!
Review: If there was ever a film in the entire history of cinema that should not be seen by kids, then this is certainly one.I say this because i saw THE EXORCIST back in 1973 during my jr. year in high school. This all to realistic tale of a girl who becomes possessed by a demon was just too much for me to take.I experienced nightmares, voices in my head and what doctors sometimes refer to as "psychotic episodes" that lasted for several months.A note to parents:DO NOT ALLOW YOUR CHILDREN TO WATCH THIS ALONE!!! IF THEY HAVE,AT LEAST ENCOURAGE THEM TO TALK ABOUT IT AND ALLOW THEM TO VENT THEIR FEARS ABOUT THIS HORRIFYING FILM!!!!!!

Summary: gripping, unique film
Review: Just saw the DVD 25th Anniversary version, and it is outstanding. The colours are amazing, the picture of the best clarity and precision I saw so far on DVD and the sound is great.

About the film: I saw it first 15 yars ago. Now I am surprised even more that the Exorcist still remains quite original and unique in its own kind. As director Friedkin puts it in his intro to the film, he wanted to do a "realistic movie about extraordinary events". And it works out just like that, which makes it gripping in a peculiar way. Worth the thrill for any movie lover.

Summary: It Was 1/2 and 1/2
Review: I liked it alot, but if it wasn't at the interesting parts, it was boring. I mean, in the beginning, I think they spend twelve minutes on the girl and her mom talking about what their going to do for the girl's birthday. But, it got better towards the end. Satan's a vulgar S.O.B., isn't he? I think Lina Blair was too little to play such a big part. The way they had to deform her with the makeup--I would be scared to look at myself in the mirror! I think The Exorcist mixed in a Bible story: The story of the man possessed with a legion of demons. Jesus casts the demons into nearby swine that immeadiately drown themselves. Dimi (or whatever that black-haired priest's name was) cast Satan from Reygan into himself, than comitted suicide by jumping out the window. Sound familiar? All in all, I would watch it again.
