Rating: Summary: Looks Good Review: Looks like a cross between Silence of the Lambs, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Se7en. Looks like it'll be scary, gory, and suspenseful. Hope it is. Then again Rob Zombie is obsessed with horror, so I'm sure we'll enjoy this film.
Rating: Summary: Excellent. One of the few great horror films Review: I was one of the fortunate few who received advance screenings of this film for focus group purposes. It was complete in story but some of the effects and music were not finished. As you all have heard from Rob, it is an Homage to all the early 70's slasher films. It was gritty, graphic and gory. The story was simple but very taught and suspensful. It has one of the best death scenes I have ever seen (Deputy Barney). Myself and a small group of others were chosen to stay after the film and give our opinions to the producers and to Rob himself. Once this film is released, it could very easily be the next big MIDNIGHT MOVIE. I am looking forward to see how much it has changed in the two years that have past since I saw it, but it is definitly something I could watch over and over again. A horror film made by a horror fan for horror fans. What more could you ask.
Rating: Summary: The Real Deal Review: OK so I saw Rob Zombie in concert in December 2001 and April 2002, and during both shows he played scenes from this movie while they played the actual song "House of 1000 Corpses". All I can tell you is it's BIZARRE! It's very dark and grainy and seems to be filled with torture, bondage, and just outright lunacy...it's totally what I would expect from Rob Zombie. Any fan of his music is going to like this movie, and if anyone has their doubts about it, listen to the song, it sets the stage for the film. RZ is probably the biggest horror movie fan there is, and I can't wait to see how twisted his own movie is going to be!
Rating: Summary: Everyone, please RELAX!! Review: O.K., this film opens up on October 18th 2002, right?( we hope...). Now I doubt anyone has seen this film yet, like others have said previously.I talked to one of the stars, Bill Mosely (aka "Otis" in this film and "ChopTop" in Texas Chainsaw Massacre II). Now this was during the San Diego Comic Con August 1st thru 5th 2002. He informed me as of that date HE has not yet seen the film!! This film to my knowledge (and Moselys...) has not been publicly viewed. My point here is for people who are already being critics and saying it is no good is ridiculous! Let the film get its release date and stand on its own! ...or fall. Sure its not going to be totally original, what is??? Lets kick back and let Rob's vision and his totally talented cast do their thing. If its not your thing, be assured, alot of other people will LOVE it!!!
Rating: Summary: It's clasic. People in the wrong place at the wrong time. Review: From what I've read about the making of this movie from Rob himself. This movie was made to be an homage to all of the clasic slasher flicks of the 60's and 70's. It has a simple structure, people end up in the wrong place at the wrong time, and bad stuff happens. This should be a twisted take on the Texas Chainsaw Massacare type movies. Alot of people did not like that movie most likely because it scared them too much. If you think that movie was insipid, read about Ed Gein. It was accidently based on his life. But Pshyco was intentially based on him only watered down. If you love true horror movies this should be a great one.
Rating: Summary: Looks kool Review: This movie extremly retarded.......... that's why it looks like a alsome movie. I think rob zombie will do good. If someone was making the movie then it would suck it looks gorey and voilent and ALSOME!
Rating: Summary: It was changed Review: After being poorly reviewed, I was under the understanding that the movie has undergone some changes, so the first review isn't probably worth that much. I suggest not seeing it on opening night though just in case it doesn't pan out well.
Rating: Summary: I've Seen It Review: I was extremely unlucky enough to of seen this movie at a horror convention a while back. There is really no surprise at all as to why this movie has had such bad luck coming out. To put it quite simply - It is awful. Disgustingly bad. This movie is a sure fire way to have your intelligence extremely insulted. If writer/director/two hit wonder Rob Zombie had intelligence of his own, then maybe he would've made a movie that was actually worth seeing. This movie delves right into all the typical cliched horror junk that he always says he hates. The plot is very predictable. One we have seen a hundred million times. There is nothing new here folks. Nothing exciting. It's sick and twisted, and that is not something that really flies nowadays. If you are intelligently challenged, then this is for you... F+.
Rating: Summary: 2 precious hours of my life gone:( Review: What an absolutely horrible movie. It wasn't scary or gory just really stupid. I don't understand how some of you people could give this junk 5 stars but hey some people like different things. The only thing i felt while watching this crapfest was incredibly bored. ROB ZOMBIE STICK TO MUSIC!!!!! YOU SUCK AS A DIRECTOR!!!!
Rating: Summary: Mixed Feelings Review: When I first heard about this movie I was so excited, so excited I wrote a paper about it's soon to be release as an essay for school. Now, Im a big fan of Rob Zombie, look at my name, but he let me down on this one, I still gave it 4 stars though. It was interesting but I expected more from the man with Zombie in his name. It wasnt gorry enough for my likings plane and simple. It's not a bad movie, I suggest you getting it, I did, because it has a very interesting plot/story line, plus its from the sick and twisted mind of Rob Zombie himself. I also heard that he's comin out with some more movies of his which I am just as excited to see.
