Summary: This is the movie that got me into vampires
Review: Hardly a small feat... I remember the first time I saw this movie. I didn't see the beginning and wasn't familar with the book, but at the end my uncles kept slowing down the vcr to see Dracula get his head chopped off. I thought that was rather immature, and when I saw the film in its entirity I fully appreciated its story. In retrospect, now that I know more about vampires and Vlad Tepes, I appreciate how the movie attempted to tie in the historical accounts of the impaling Prince to the story of the immortal vampire. Of course, the movie added the whole romance thing, the idea that Mina was Dracula's love reincarnated. That's excusable. The special effects of the movie were wonderful. I especially liked the scene where Dracula was a wolf in the garden (or whatever)with Lucy. If you pause at the right spot when the lightning flashes, you can see Dracula in human form instead of the face of the wolf. Simply astounding. There are many great things about this movie. I couldn't name them all even if I tried.

Summary: An outstanding drama/horror! Wonderful & highly recommended!
Review: Directed by Francis Ford Coppola, this is a wonderful film that portrays "Dracula"(Gary Oldman) as a blood-thirsty immortal who wants to seek revenge for his long-lost love. Impressive acting, tear-filled drama, and a wonderful plot make this movie stand out from most other films. I highly recommend this film because of many reasons, and once you have watched it, you will enjoy it over and over again!

Summary: GARY OLDMAN DOES WONDERFUL AS PRINCE DRACULA
Review: When I first saw this movie it was kinda weird at first but wonderful when it got to the end. Gary Oldman did and brilliant job as the Count Dracula. Winona Ryder was truely a classic beauty as Mina Murray. Francis did a great job with the scenes. Hope one more horror film of his will be made.

Summary: This film is a work of art!
Review: The first time I saw this movie I was disappointed. Fortunantly, I gave it a second chance. Do not let your expectactions ruin this movie. It is not an Anne Rice film, this is the real gothic film. Coppola does wonders, fade ins and outs on scenes never cease to amaze me! Truly a sensual movie!

Summary: PERHAPS THE WAY DRACULA WAS MEANT TO BE
Review: I was dissapoited in this film when i first saw it but as I saw it more and more I grew to appreciate it the reason dracula was so old and decrepid looking in the begginig was because he did not have enough blood he was in Trasylvania where feared and beleaved in which is why he moved to LONDON,ENGLAND which was full of unsuspecting nonbeleavers.when he appeared young he still didnt look totally evil but he was hiding his secret personality of evil and ruthlussness deep inside as he stalked and fed on young women in their sleep where the vampire count showed his true colors with his ruthluss powers of darkness such as transforming into giant wolves and bat demons which made him look truely ruthless and evil.Which ever appearence the evil vampire count took he was still the ultimate and most threatining evil of all time that seeks his long lost love and will perform the most ruthless deeds to get her.

Summary: Excellent
Review: Yes, I know this version is untrue to the original, and suffers moments of weak acting and ridiculous affects, but I still consider this to be one of the best movies out there. It was intense, interesting, and well crafted. The departure from the original novel is irritating if what you are looking for is an exact copy, but taken as a story in its own right, this is an incredible film. I

Summary: A Great Flick
Review: This movie is a great movie with cool special effects, good acting, a solid storyline, and just enough action to keep everyone interested. Gary Oldman does a great job a playing the diabolical, elusive fiend Dracula. The first 10 minutes is really good for setting the scene for the rest of the movie, and the movie is great to watch, with friends, your girlfriend (or boyfriend), or even just by yourself. Winona Ryder, Anthony Hopkins, and yes, even Keanu Reeves give great performances. So if you want to rent a great movie that is both a horror movie and a romance, look no further than Bram Stoker's Dracula.

Summary: A gorgeous, messy film
Review: I love this film and bought it recently (for 29USD at Tower) and have enjoyed it thoroughly three times in a week. The stylized quality, the truly Victorian dramamtization, even the, like, way sorry British accents of those two California doofuses, Reaves and Rider, all of it adds up to beautiful moviemaking. There are so many glitches and continuity errors, but they only add to the early Hollywood feel. I heard once that Coppola used no special effects in this film - that is none that were not available in the 1940s. Don't quot eme on that. Great film, great bargain. Buy it! (Oh yeah and it sounds amazing in 5.1 stereo!)
