Summary: Simply wonderful
Review: Quite frankly this is one of the best horror movies of the last 10 years!I know thats no small claim but i really believe it,and i like to think of myself as a bit of an expert on the genre(well ok maybe not quite expert, but i do know what i'm talking about). The plot was great, the direction as good as Raimi, the characters hillarious, the action sequences breath taking and the werewolves realistic and frightening. These are real actors playing the creatures, not and i repeat not [ ] CGI which has spoilt more than a few movies of the last few years. This film is witty, funny, scary, literate and exciting.Name me 5 other movies you've seen lately that can claim the same.In short buy it!

Summary: Night of the Evil Werewolves
Review: Effective action horror movie in which a group of English soldiers must battle a pack of werewolves to survive. "Evil Dead" meets " Predator" The film could have been tighter but if you like gory action- this one is for you.

Summary: It's good, damn GOOD!
Review: With a touch of "Night of the Living Dead" and a dash of "The Howling", this is one of the most unique werewolf films I've seen in ages.
Soldiers on a 'pretend' battle excercise, find themselves in the midst of a life-or-death battle with a pack of werewolves.
The battle comes to a head in a remote woodland cabin, where the men must rely on their wits and training to beat, what seems, an unstoppable force.
The werewolf effects in this were excellent..in no way 'cheesy' at all, the script and acting were wonderful and there is enought gore and action to keep even the most discriminating of horror, not to mention action, fans satisfied.

Summary: Ironic
Review: I find it ironic how the makers of this movie think that they have accomplished something great, such as making a low-budget movie that's better than most big-budget Hollywood stuff. They haven't; in fact, this is more routine, predictable, and cliched than 90% of what Hollywood turns out these days.
Dog Soldiers is a scene-by-scene remake of 'Aliens,' set on Earth. The soldiers think they're elite, then they fight the creatures, realize that they're stranded, and then hole themselves up. Of course, there's an evil organization that thinks the troops are expendable, and of course the blond-haired main character survives in the end.
Nothing original or inventive in this movie. For better horror/action films, stick with stuff like Aliens, From Dusk Till Dawn, and Dawn of the Dead.

Summary: Finally - Werewolves ...
Review: I was lucky enough to see the premiere of DOG SOLDIERS at the Fantasy Filmfest in Munich this year! From all the movies, this was the one I really wanted to see, and I wasn`t disapointed! At last a Werewolf Flick with ACTION! Don`t get me wrong, "The Howling" is great, as well as "An American Werewolf in London", but in both films you don`t get to see enough Werewolf and there is always the lack of action and fights. But DOG SOLDIERS finally put`s it together and creates an unique and totally awesome, bloody and funny horror movie. Also entertaining is the fact, that the whole plot isn`t sitauted in the US, rather in some woods in Scottland. Just love that accent!
A must have - monster buffs, action freaks and gore hounds won`t be dissapointed!!

Summary: been a long time....
Review: This is one great movie. I cant believe this never got a wide release in north america. We get garbage like American Werewolf in paris instead. Hurray. Pfffft. Oh well. This movie brings werewolves back from the fringes.
We have some english soldiers on a training mission in the highlands of scottland. They are there to skirmish with some special ops guys. Its not long before the grunts find the remains of the special ops camp. The body parts scattered about are enough to get the squad to give up their training mission and get out of the woods. Of course, its too late. A local pack of werewolves are doing some hunting of their own.
The troops shack up in an abandoned house and fight as wave after wave of attacks begins. Is this one enemy these troops can't defeat? You will have to watch and find out.

a great transfer. clean, crisp and colorfull. a must have.

Summary: There are better monsters in Scotland than Nessie
Review: Beyond the shadow of a doubt, one of the best horror movies I have seen. Not in the same league as the Exorcist due to the excellent moments of humor and predicability, but truely one of the most enjoyable movie experiences for this genre I have had in a long time. Rates up there with the Thing and Evil dead for overall cleverness, intensity, and escapism. The pace doesn't slow and keeps you glued throughout most of the movie. One of the most enjoyable aspects is that you genuinely care about what happens to the characters and none of them are looked upon as the hopeful next victim.
The werewolves were spectacularly shot and the perspective from their eyes was a nice feature of the movie, taking you back to shots from the Crow with their night vision.
And the action. Oh my god the action was in the first three minutes of the film and did not ever lose its creativity throughout. This was not just a point the gun and shoot soldier movie. There was boiling water, a 14th century Claymore, knives, guns, and even an obliging camera.
An even bigger plus was that the films only female character was neither a sniveling "help me" woman, but a very intelligent, outspoken, daring lady who only went around in a white tank top with no bra for half the film. That instantly made it more credible than 80% of all other horror films I have seen.
It was not an Oscar winner, but if you are a fan of horror and enjoy the Laurell K. Hamilton novels, this is definitely a movie for you to check out.

Summary: Neverwinter's Nightwolf
Review: This movie is totally awesome. It will scare the living daylights out of you, and have you biting your lips as well as your toe nails. I enjoyed the plot as well. It had a curvy twist to it, and a lot of gorey scenes. If you think Resident Evil was "Dark", Dog Soldiers would have you screaming for a sequel. The acting was pretty cool and the plot was decent. Rent this movie and you will never sleep again with your "Dog"...
