Summary: RETURN OF THE GRABOIDS
Review: The first sequel in the popular TREMOR series is an entertaining movie, but I really missed the chemistry of Fred Ward and Kevin Bacon, and strangely enough I missed Reba McEntire. Ward is back, along with Michael Gross, but the rest of the cast doesn't come up to the standards of the original.
Ward returns as Earl, who is recruited by a Mexican oil company to battle a new bunch of graboids. Aided by a young entrepreneur (Christopher Gartin), Ward heads off to Mexico and we have another geologist (Supergirl Helen Shaver) to add some romantic interest for Ward. Killing off the graboids seems pretty easy this time as Ward and Gartin merrily blow up several of the nasty worms. However, since there is such an abundance, Ward calls on Bert Gummer (Gross) to help and he arrives with an expected arsenal of weapons. Things take a nasty turn however when the graboids mutate into ornery little critters that run around on top of the ground.
The pacing in this one isn't as tight, and the humor is there, just not as well executed. Gartin tries hard to add energy and humor, but he tries too hard and eventually becomes a caricature of the Bacon character.
If you are into the Tremors series, this one will not disappoint you...it's just not as good.

Summary: Return of the Graboids
Review: I watched a number of movies this past weekend. Among them was Tremors 2: Aftershocks. Fred Ward and Michael Gross are back together but Kevin Bacon is absent. The graboids are back and terrorizing Mexico. Fred is hired to hunt them down. For fifty thou per dead worm Fred can't turn them down.

Things go pretty smoothly at first but graboids can get smart pretty quick. After the elimination of most of the worms something new happens and the next thing you know it's a whole new ball game and Fred and company will be hard pressed just to survive.

If you enjoyed the first movie you will probably like this one. The worm effects are not quite as good (the tongues aren't right) but the original mix of humor and horror is back. Fred even has a new sidekick in Christopher Gartin who has a tendency to look like Kevin Bacon at times. This video (and a lot of others) is available at the Hyde Park Video Good Guys located on 55th near the Shoreland.

Summary: An Okey squel
Review: The squel to the orginal lower death count but still a good game. Earl is called by some mexican to eleimnated some grab boids that hve have killed some workers. Aparently the did not kill all of them in the first one.

Unlike the firts tremors the ending was not altered. The ending you she on Tremors when Grady kis the hot college student was not the original endeding. At one of the thetherical showings of the movie near the end of the film some people in the theather started chanted kiss her out loud. So they they went back and redited the ending and changed it.

Tremors two I think was supposed to be a gremlins rip of. The Graboids metamorphise into these small vicious creatures. The citizens of perfection name shriekers. Due to the loud scream they produce before they charge.

The shrieker like the graboids has no eyes or ears. It has a heat seeker withc detects the heat from living animals. So it;s a rip of the predator series as well. Earl Basod returns so do Burt. Burt is in all of the Tremors movies with the exception of Tremors 4.

If you like This she tremonrs 1 3 and 4. I also recomend seeing the Dune series which I thinnk tremors is based on.

Summary: Tremors 2- Aftershocks. Good film.
Review: Tremors 2 contains all the action, comedy and thrills that are a key feature of the tremors series.
For those uninitiated with the film, Tremors 2 is the story of how the evil graboids (giant, mutant worms) have returned, this time to Mexico. Worried about the consequences, the Mexican government have called out famous graboid killers, Earl Bassett (played with some gusto by Fred Ward of the original), and his new friend, Grady Hoover (Christopher Gartin), to clear up the mess by any means necessary. They enlist the help of Bert Gummer (Michael Gross) to track them down. But this time, the graboids have new suprises in store for the trio.
The graboids are back again to the film, as nasty, ugly and brutal as ever. But this time, something very unexpected happens in the venture...
The thrill factor of Tremors 2 is very high, and it is wothout a doubt a cracking movie, and deserves a place in any collection of DVD'S or videos. Tremors 2 produces at least as many shocks as the original, and the cast are likeable and game, and the movie retains the same spirit of fun and tongue-in-cheek attitude of the original tremors. This film, happily, shows no signs of sequelitis, and can be considered a very good film in it's own right. Some of the scenes in Tremors 2 have very high shock value, and there are several scenes i can think of that really make you jump first time round. These qualities make Tremors a great horror movie, and the spirit of fun means it provides laughs too. And, unusually for a film of this nature, the acting is pretty good.
The cast make for some good dialogue in the film, and although the film can be very gory in places it never becomes so nasty that it loses its appeal, and keeps sticking to shocks rather than a full-on killing frenzy. There are some very interesting plot twists too, and some stuff that you really don't expect happens. I warn you, this is a film that shocks and surprises equally for good measure. A great and enjoyable movie, and this deserves a place in anyone's collection. Unique in the fact that even people who may not traditionally like the genre will probably like this film.
In comparision to the first tremors, i'd say it's a very close run thing as to which is the better film, but for me, tremors 1 scrapes it just. But don't let that put you off, this is a very enjoyable movie.
