Summary: A Fun Movie with an Awesome Soundtrack
Review: OK, this movie may be fun to watch the first few times but lacks in story. What keeps me going is it's soundtrack. From the opening "Cry Little Sister" to INXS's "Good Times" this movie definately keeps a beat more than worthy of it's plot. One of my favorite 80's movies.

Summary: High quality movie
Review: This is an awesome movie, I really enjoyed watching it. Keifer Sutherland and Corey Feldman are excellent in their roles. Definitely one of the better vampire movies out there.

Summary: An absolute waste
Review: A movie which could really have been a philosophical, meditative masterpiece such as Schumacher's later Flatliners, but instead turned out to be a cheezy, obvious tale with some pathetic plot "twists," The Lost Boys is perhaps one of the most unfortunate films ever created. For some reason, the creators took a paradoxical approach of telling a moderately comical story about some vampires but ended up creating a crumbling mess of cloying cuteness through which one may catch glimpses of what grandeur they could have achieved had they put more depth into it and turned it into a parable about generational decay and its relation to the supernatural evil. As it stands, even the reason for the existence of all those "damn vampires" is unclear, because their commander lacks any depth whatsoever and appears in two or so scenes - first, to serve as a comic relief, then simply to get killed. The haunting symbolism of roller-coasters and bizarre special effects hint at the moral depravity of the "lost souls" of the generation - all in vain. From the beginning credits to the final "humorous remark" of the main characters' grandfather, The Lost Boys is a shameful failure.

Summary: JOEL SHOULD HAVE MADE A LOST BOYS 2!
Review: This has got to be one of the best vampire teen movies of the 80s. I am sure that a lot of people will agree. There is one queston on my mind - WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO JAMISON NEWLANDER? He is sooooo cute.

Summary: Death by stereo!!!
Review: Okay, it's a teen flick. It's manufactured to sell (young hunks, beautiful women, weird humour, vampires!) but it's still good. There isn't a lot to say about this one. I think you have to watch it to appreciate it, and it's definately aimed at the younger generation (cue 500 e-mails from over 40's telling me that I'm being ageist). Best soundtrack as well...wish it included the Run DMC / Aerosmith song played by the punks at the campfire (remember them? they were the fireside meal for the vampire gang). Get this movie and you'll fight to keep it out of your VCR.

Summary: WOW
Review: Lost boys is a dark, twisted view into the world of the immortal with innocent and playful humor. Great movie for the avid movie-goer. Virtually perfect in all aspects of plot and character development.

Summary: My favorite movie of all time!!!
Review: This is such a great movie. I saw it years ago and have always loved it. The main carictor is likeable. The vampyres are fun. The parents fall into mother falls into the steriotypical parent in teen flicks, but people of all ages can enjoy this great clasic.

Summary: The Best Vampire Movie
Review: Sure it has it's 'teenish' atmosphere, but the Lost Boys is one of the best vampire films of all time. Aside from the stupid Frogg brothers evrything in this movie is great. The climatic fight scene between David and Micheal is one of my favorite scenes ever.

The DVD contains a trailer which is nice. As for the other extras, well they aren't anything special. All text, stuff I'd rather see on the internet, not on a DVD. I hate snap cases too!

Summary: VERY HIP!
Review: It's just the best vampire movie ever! How could some people like terrible vampire movies like Vampires or Blade? If you like vampire movies, good looking actors (Billy Wirth- the vampire with the long black hair) and really nice songs, you just have to see it!
