Summary: Violent, Yet A Great Family Movie!
Review: Hi, movie fans! If you like movies, you gotta see this 1984 family classic. It starts when an Asian man gives another man a cute little furry critter called a Gremlin named Gizmo, which he then gives to his son (Zach Galligan). The father has been given important instructions: Don't get him wet, don't feed him after midnight, and don't expose him after midnight. The son accidentally gets him wet, and little furballs come out of him, which become Gremlins just like Gizmo. They are very cool just like him, but then the guy accidentally feeds all of them, but Gizmo, after midnight, because his clock says 11:30, but the cord was bitten by the Gremlins. They then become evil and ugly, and destroy much of the town. Galligan and his friend (Phoebe Cates, Drop Dead Fred) must stop them before it's too late. This movie was produced by Steven Spielberg and directed by Joe Dante (both of whom directed parts of "Twilight Zone: The Movie"), and in parts is violent, yet it is a GREAT family movie. You gotta see it! It's VERY KOOL!

Summary: Too Violent for kids
Review: This movie is to violent for little kids, and to stupid for older kids and adults. And I being an animal lover no matter how ugly or destructive an animal is(accept humans), I'm just saying that I feel a little sorry for them and it's to violent showing them melting to death like that. Plus the effects will scare little kids even with the stupid cartoon sounds. It's not funny at all. I was surprised when I saw all the other reviews.

Summary: A piece of my childhood on DVD
Review: When it first came out, "Gremlins" was completely underestimated by the studios, who didn't believe that it could be a success. Time (and the box office) proved them wrong, and "Gremlins" turned out to be an 1980's classic. Like me, there are many people who still cherish the memory of those little green monsters that turned Christmas into an orgy of mayhem. Unfortunately, the movie doesn't go beyond there. I must say that, having watched it again recently, many years after its release, it didn't thrill me as it did before, but I bought the DVD because I'm just a nostalgic sap and wanted to have a piece of my childhood in my collection. As for the edition, it didn't pass the test. The picture and sound quality is just a light improvement over the VHS version, and there are very few features. I was very excited when I saw there was a "Behind the scenes" material, but it wasn't a documentary, as I believed, only a text (sorry, folks). At least, the movie has Spanish subtitles. Like I say, I was disappointed, but for all of you who loved this movie, you'll find a place for it in your collection as you once did in your heart.

Summary: Finally This Movie Gets The Respect It Deserves
Review: Warner Brothers has finally decided to release a special edition of this Spielberg-Produced horror flick. "Gremlins," directed by Joe Dante, tells the story of an inventor who buys a "mogwai" for his son as Christmas gift. This mogwai is a little furry critter who comes with three rules. 1) Keep him out of bright light, especially sunlight. 2) Don't get him wet. 3) The most important of all...never, ever feed him after midnight. Of course, accidents do happen and Gizmo, the mogwai, gets wet. He multiplies and the new bunch of mogwai are very nasty. They trick their master into feeding them after midnight. This causes them to form cocoons and when they hatch they're big and leathery. Now the Gremlins must be stopped. You'll have to buy the dvd to find out how. It really is an underrated movie. The special effects are surprisingly convincing, especially when they're all puppets. Plus, this thing even has deleted scenes. Buy it now.

Summary: Awesome!
Review: This movie has thrills, chills, and a cute cuddly monster named Gizmo. He seems to be the perfect pet...except there's a few things to know. 1: They hate sunlight. 2: Don't feed them after midnight. And 3: DO NOT GET THEM WET! This movie is hilarious, and extremely strange. I recommend it to kids 5 and up.

Summary: A good comedy with a Stripe of horror.
Review: The Gremlins is my second favorite film. The character I hate the most is that old bag that's mean. The rich jerk. My favorite part is when the drunk in the bar says " Just gimme one more beer. I'll help you clean up.

In this film a the father of the hero purchases a moigoi(excuse me if that's a spelling error) illicitly through a vendor's grandson. With the moigoi(called Gizmo) comes 3 rules don't get it wet, don't show him light especially sunlight it'll end Gizmo's life, or DON'T FEED HIM AFTER MIDNIGHT or else, swine.

Of course Gizmo gets wet by that punk Corey Feldman's character and Gizmo multiplies giving evil Gremlins. The evil gremlins trick the hero William into feeding them after midnight and they turn evil and try to kill everyone in the town. So the dumb heroes chase them and try to stop them.

Of course my wretchedly boring description isn't detailed and the movie has a lot more action. But the second one is better because the villain is a genius gremlin instead of a drooling stupid gremlin. Well this is an excellent film anyway. 5 star material. Well lets hope a DVD of the second Gremlins film will be released soon.

Summary: Funny/Scary
Review: Just because something is old, that doesn't make it bad. This movie is a great example. It tells the story of Billy Peltzer and his girlfriend Kate, who is extremely hot, and their pet gremlin Gizmo. But Giz is a friendly, mammal gremlin who is very nice. The boy who sold Billy's father Gizmo gave him three rules to follow. One was to avoid sunlight with him because it could kill him. The next one was not to get him wet, and the final was to never EVER feed him after midnight, but he didn't explain why. When he accidentally gets wet though, he spawns others like him, except they are very mischievious. They later then trick Billy into giving them food after midnight, and they metamorph into reptilian gremlins with large teeth and claws, and the runamok through the suburban town. This movie is a great blend of comedy and horror and the gremlins' antics are great, especially the scene in the bar. However, this movie contains a lot of blood and gore, so if you get queasy easily, avoid this movie, or just turn your eyes away.

Summary: An bizarre mix of Fantasy, Comedy and Horror.
Review: When a Teenage Bank Teller (Zach Galligan) recieves an unusual mysterious new pet. When he disobeys serveral crucial rules for its care, unintentionally spawning an amry of bloodthristy monsters.

Directed by Joe Dante (Gremlins 2:The New Batch) made this film a deliciously dark and amusing with cuteness, murder, love, mayhem, destructed and more to this beloved Cult Classic. This was a Huge Box Office Hit in the Summer of 1984. Gremlins is a underrated and genuinely special film. Executive Produced by Steven Spielberg, Kathleen Kennedy & Frank Marshall. Written by Chris Columbis (The Goonies). Grade:A-.
