Rating: Summary: Dreadful, avoid at all costs Review: Undoubtedly the worst "movie" I've ever seen - the only thing this will leave you with is a profound sense of nausea from the continuously shaking camera...
Rating: Summary: The lamest excuse for a movie! Review: Don't buy it, rent it, or watch it. It is a waste of time. I wanted to choke the Heather Donahue character myself. I kept hoping something would happen to her just to shut her up. These three could get lost in a library and would be terrified by the books in the horror section. Any researcher I have ever read always goes to the area before any expedition is undertaken and gets comprehensive maps, materials, and interviews. The "documentary" will leave you in a state of confusion, they never really explain in detail what any of the local lore and legend has to do with the Blair Witch and the relationship to the hermit. This movie was given to me by a friend and I allowed my other friends to borrow it with a strong recommendation that they not watch it. Everyone of them agreed with me after they had seen it, they ended up in the same state of confusion and frustration that I did. I repeat do not watch this movie, you will regret it.
Rating: Summary: PAINFULLY BAD Review: Movie is so bad that it wouldn't even excite ed wood if he was alive. Poor plot with even worse acting. Don't believe the hype. Whoever was behind the marketing campaign on this movie are the real stars. The only plot, if you can call it that, is some kids walking around the woods. Nothing happends. Painfully bad. No Budget films can be good - this is a disaster
Rating: Summary: NG Review: Is it scary? Not at all, I almost fell asleep during watching! The only true impact on me was the camera work which was so bad that it made me dizzy. I am so glad that I rented this one. I would strongly recommend you do the same.
Rating: Summary: Can't wait to see the sequel Review: well, what can i say? it's a low budget movie with high profit. Maybe that will teach the great producers the art of film making.
Rating: Summary: You either love it or hate it Review: You either love or hate this movie. If you liked Scream, I know what you did last summer, End of days, and such then you will probably hate this movie. The movie has 0 (that is zero) eye candy. No special effects nor gore. It relies on the fear of the unkown and does a damn fine job of it. If you are tired of main stream hollowood (like all the movies listed above) then this is the movie for you. If you like reading mistery and horror books, then you will probably like this film. It is defenitely not for the average movie goer (like most of the people that reviewed this movie). Kuddos for the directors on one of the most original movies in recent years!
Rating: Summary: Ehhh.... Review: I saw the Blair Witch Project for one reason: to be scared. I can't explain how dissapointed I was when the film was over. I remember laughing more times then I was scared. The movie contains scenes at night about forty percent of the time. Only about half of the scenes at night were even trying to be scary. About half of that time was actually the least bit scary. I was mor scared during Scream ( a pitiful excuse for a horror) during this movie. This film was all bark and no bite. In fact, they don't even show the witch. Want my opinion? DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
Rating: Summary: Not a bad movie. Review: For those of you who like myself are tired of the same old stupid horror movies. This is for you. I don't think that the people that hate this movie really understand it. No you won't see inspired acting, No you won't see great camera work, No you won't hear great one-liners, and No you won't see any blood, guts, gore, and special effects. That is the point and that is why this movie is so good. You actually believe what you are seeing. I live in Maryland and some people I know swore up and down that this is a true story. Yes the three are stupid and do things that most people including myself would not do. But consider the fact that there are stone cold morons in this world (like the people that live in Maryland and thought this was a true story) and you'll understand why these guys are still "missing."
Rating: Summary: Stone cold and non-stop scary. And a GREAT dvd. Review: Right from the opening act, you know that BLAIR WITCH is the new "Texas Chain Shaw Massacre" or "Halloween". It is fresh, enegetic and effective. The DVD is very complete, it has terrific menus (with sounds and moving images), and it has the 40 minutes documentary CURSE OF BLAIR WITCH that I find a perfect complement to the whole film. And it has "that" teaser trailer...
Rating: Summary: HORRIBLE Review: Am I the only person in the world who thought this was the WORST movie I have ever seen? I waisted 83 minutes of my life, and $4.50 ( saw it in a theatre). I was SOOOOO excited to see it. So, I thought maybe it was all the hype, that, THAT was why i hated it. But, I went with a friend who had never heard of it. And we laughed because it was so stupid. And were so releived when it was over. We were getting ready to leave, when the torture finally ended. I had to push my friend out the door ( he wanted to get our money back). It was so unbeleivable! Who would use such language if they really were doing a documentary? ( and i am no prude! ) None of it rang true. I spent the entire 83 minutes saying things to my friend like: " he would NEVER do that!" or "That could NEVER happen!" I know it made a lot of money...but, I heard the "guys" who made it, sold it before it hit the screen. Good! they don't desrve a dime! PLEASE...is there anybody out there that feels the same? What a waste of time and money. I don't feel i can write here what I actually call the movie now.I pray that nobody gets an idea for a squel. P.S. When i tried to submit this reveiw, the screen said I had to give it a rating.....i WAS giving it "0", but there was no space for that...i DO NOT think it desrves even a "1" !
