Rating: Summary: Scary, haunting, and well acted movie that feels very real. Review: If you like scary movie's this one should satisfy. I saw it when it first came out, when people thought it was real. I knew it wasn't real and it still gave me a feeling of dread. I love horror movies and this one is one of the few that actually scared me. See it again, own it, you won't regret it.
Rating: Summary: Excuse Me, Scary? Review: I've seen the Blair Witch Project and found it not scary. I live next to a very big forest and should've been scared. The only scary part was at the end. There were funny parts in the beginning. I've seen very scary movies (It), and this was not one of them. The movie was very good, though so do see it.
Rating: Summary: it was great!!! Review: At first, the movie seemed to be a boring, profanity ridden amateur movie. as it continued, i caught myself actually feeling what the characters were feeling. I could not sit still through the night fall scenes. Even though I was not able to see a "villian" or a "witch"...I was scared for the cast. My heart pounded throughout the entire movie.
Rating: Summary: BORING and NAUSEATING Review: between the boredom and the nausea from the jerky camera action i wish i had had the foresight to bring my phenergan. i have spent a lot of time in the woods both in north america and africa and these guys don't have a clue what really scared in the woods is all about. they,in the movie, were unprepared and were obviously never boy(or girl)scouts. If you want to be scared save you money buy a tent and go on a camping trip for the real things "that go bump in the night".
Rating: Summary: Yawn. Review: One of my friends told me that he was "shaking" when he came out of the theatre after watching this movie. I decided to see what all the hype was about, and was very disappointed. The movie started out slow, continued to be slow, and ended just as it became interesting. I was told by another friend that this movie was produced by college students. I'm not suprised.
Rating: Summary: BLAIR WITCH ROCKS Review: i LOVE this movie. Finally a movie that breaks all the rules makes it big. Anyone who doesn't think it is scary is eithier so desensitized to horror thaks to movies like "Scream" or hiding something. This movie should get all the praise and awards possible, since it is the only thing out right now that deserves it!
Rating: Summary: Psychological terror at its best! Review: This movie makes you so afraid of being alone in the middle of nowhere that you want to stand in the middle of traffic when you finish watching it! The creepist movie I have seen in a long time, because you never actually see what it is that is tormenting them. The scariest parts are the screaming at night, and at the end, when you see Mike against the wall . . . Be prepared for a gut-wrenching (literally) and heart-pounding movie.
Rating: Summary: Leaves Sooooo Much More To The Imagination...... Review: Truly i am not usually a fan of most horror films. But the Blair witch project was one of the best movies i have seen, which is not necessarily to say that i enjoyed it the whole time.....on the contrary it is quite disturbing. The utter lack of high-tech special effects does all the more to set the mood of realism. Fortunately at the time i watched this movie i had already figured out it was a fictional piece....unlike some of my friends. Even so after i watched this i had problems with being jumpy for the next couple of days (and, err....nights). This is ultimately a disturbing movie that shatters all hope for hope and leaves you feeling like something about the entire world must be a cruel violent and terror ridden place.......(don't worry you'll get over feeling bad cuz thats how the world is in a way anyway).I would like to applaud the students who made and acted in this movie. There is nothing corny about this move. The movie itself portrays genuine human emotion, conflict and flaws, without drooly sappiness. The impression you get is that these are just normal preppy college students that are so unprepared for what befalls them that they are torn apart (literally and figuratively) and tear eachother apart while hanging on and supporting eachother for dear life..... This is a great movie. I am going to buy it. But i almost can't say i "like" it because at some points it is really too horrible and frightening to "like" All in all, an amazing acomplishment without the taints of hollwood effects....and supreme scary times....
Rating: Summary: Awesome, "There's-someone-behind-you" suspense. Review: This movie is full of creepy, frightening stuff. The beginning is a little slow, but it helps you connect with the characters. By the end of the movie, you become very attached to the actors. Great movie for those who don't get motion-sickness.
Rating: Summary: Look deep into the dark of the wood and be afraid. Review: Despite the unbearable hype, the Blair Witch shines through as a creative and original work. With a hook that makes you wonder why nobody had thought of this first, The Blair Witch Project is deliciously unique and unquestionally uncopyable. The cast, all a bunch of rookies (albeit with a future), avoid the invitation to overact that "movies within the movie" generally welcome. The conversations, especially the arguments, will remind you of your college days when you still had intimate friendships with members of both sexes. The beauty of the movie is the simplicity. You know very little about the characters. very little about their relationship with each other before the moments you see on the screen. Yet, somehow, it's enough. By spending three days and nights in a tranquil and then haunting hell with them, you know them deeply. They are all you have, it seems. And the colors and the sound. Oh my. A monochrome haze apparantly black and white and color at the same time hypnotizes you and the sounds make evil feel thisclose. A must see.
