Rating: Summary: It's soooooooo good!!! Review: The movie i rate it would have to be the scarest out there. not only do people wonder if all of this is real, but thats the whole thing behind it. it truly will "scare the hell out of u"
Rating: Summary: It was better than sex!!! Review: This movie has to be the absolute best horror film to ever grace the silver screen! It beats classic like Freddy and Jason, and that's hard to do. It makes you think that you're actually there being from a first-person point of view, which makes it even scarier. My only complaint was that there weren't air-sick bags from all the camera movement going on!
Rating: Summary: Leave the lights on... Review: I love scary movies - I can still remember the first Friday the 13th. I couldn't convince anyone to go see BWP with me so I went alone...at night...and come home afterwards...alone...then tried to sleep. I left breathless and with shaky knees. When I tried to sleep that night I couldn't do it. Every noise was the witch or some other sinister force coming to get me. The Boogey man came to life. I slept...with the lights on! And I couldn't get the movie out of my head for days. I honestly thought this was a true story and I am soooo glad I knew it wasn't before I saw the movie, otherwise I'd still be sleeping with the light on. Excellent movie for those who wished to be scared sleepless!
Rating: Summary: Chilling to the bone Review: Movies can hopefully realize that millions of dollars aren't always needed to enthrall an audience and capture the nation. Blair Witch provides little effects and next to no blood; however, it leaves the audience to use their imagination and their own fears to scare themselves. With all of the lame horror flicks out that fail to scare the audience but grosses them out instead with special effects, it took a low-budget independent film to finally redefine movie making that REALLY scares.... all the way down to the bone. Blair Witch SURELY does to the woods what Jaws did for the water! BRILLIANT!
Rating: Summary: All I have to say is that this movie was very creepy. Review: It's very creepy and I just loved the ending. It was not the best movie of the MIllenium. I wont ever see it again. I heard that there is a second part coming. I'll have to see that,I just hope it's nothing like the first one. I'm hoping for something very different and more scary.
Rating: Summary: Low-budget, non-Hollywood production recreates horror genre. Review: This movie, despite it's low budget production fulfilled it's purpose by sending chills down my spine and setting my heart to race in my chest. When I saw this movie in the theater, however, I found that, generally the herd of sheep (audience)around me were not pleased. I took this as a direct insult. Warning- for those of you seeking a Hollywood cast with burned-out plots, senseless violence and nudity and horrific acting, please look elsewhere. You may find yourself entertained by such movies as: Nightmare on Elm St., Friday the 13th, Child's Play or Scream. Those with an open mind who want to be scared...enjoy. (Beware that this movie is only displayed in the standard aspect ratio.)
Rating: Summary: I CAN'T MAKE UP MY MIND! Review: IT'S HARD FOR ME TO WATCH FACT BASED HORROR FLICKS. THE IDEA OF THE MOVIE SCARED ME, NOT THE DETAIL ITSELF. AS FOR THE CINAEMATOGRAPHY, I THOUGHT IT WAS CLEVER, IT MADE IT MORE REALALISTIC AND HENSE, SCARIER. THAT WOULDN'T WORK FOR MANY MOVIES, BUT IN THIS CASE IT DID.IT WAS A BONA-FIDE IDEA!
Rating: Summary: Scary as a mother,on the edge of my seat, loved it! Review: This film exemplified true realism. You couldn't ask for a better plot and a better ending. The worst thing about this film was not the production, but the length. If you're going to make a movie this interesting, please make it way longer.
Rating: Summary: It was an OK movie, they did do a great job hyping it up. Review: The movie itself was not as they put it "the scariest movie ever made" However it was an ok movie...Good Job Heather!! It's about time someone we graduated high school with is a star!!
Rating: Summary: Scary as Hell, but more unrealistic than intended Review: The basic concept of this movie scared the hell out of me. The idea was good, the story was good, and the idea that psychological horror scares more than "blood and guts" works. Many people complain that the picture was fuzzy and the camera motions were jerky at times. Deal with it...that's how it was supposed to be, and don't even pretend you didn't know that before you saw the movie. Despite the original idea and the creepiness of the concept, I personally found the movie unrealistic for one reason and one reason only: Let me give you a scenario...I'm lost in the woods doing a documentary film on a "mytical" witch. I've lost my map as well as one of my companions and have discovered that we are moving in circles. Something very creepy is stalking us. I'm tired, I'm hungry, and I'm running for dear life. I don't know about you folks, but I drop the camera. Just a personal issue there, but if these kids were really as scared as they seemed to be, I don't think any of that ending would have gotten on film, and even if it did, it wouldn't have been so smooth (by smooth, I mean pointing, in general, directly ahead of the cameraman, oh I'm sorry...cameraperson) If you can see past that little flaw, you will, more likely than not, find the movie very entertaining and possibly even scary. I did!
