Summary: What was the hype about??
Review: I heard all the hype about this movie, how scary it was. The REAL movie was a real letdown.....i didn't think it was scary at all. Yeah, it was definately creepy, but i wouldn't consider it a horror movie. Plus, it got kinda boring just watching them wander around for an hour. And the ending kinda sucked, i wish they would've filled it in somehow. Overally, this movie really isn't worth spending the money on. Rent it, before you spend $ on it.

Summary: thank you thank you thank you...more please...encore!!!!!!!
Review: one of the best films ever, since texas chainsaw massacre, evil dead and omen. thoroughly enjoyable, fearful, mesmerizing, and scary. even though it makes girls look like idiots, and american kids ignorant, it is still the work of a genius. thank you (the director and actors) for such entertainment. simply unbeatable. good to see no name actors performing even better than the many named actors. shows that good acting still counts. unbelievable stuff. (yes, i also enjoyed the shakey camera stuff, abit similar to that of saving private ryan...of course it is supposed to be shakey. made the film seem very very real and very believable, copmared to the rest of the films on the market the last 20 years.)we need more of this stuff. i haven't ben so moved and so freaked by a film in a long long time. priobably since omen or evil dead or the exorcist. that was a long long time ago.

Summary: Don't Believe the Hype!!
Review: I guess I expected too much. What we have here is a girl running thru the woods, screaming. That's basically it. If that scares you, then go for it. And the 'fighting' is just so phoney. Anyone scared by this film is probably scared by their own shadow. A big disappointment.

Summary: AWESOME!!!!
Review: You can't just take the film for what it is, use your imagination, fill in the holes and get scared out of your pants!

Summary: Definitely worth seeing, but not as scary as I'd hoped.
Review: Okay, when I first went to see The Blair Witch Project, I had to leave halfway through. If you haven't seen it yet and you're sensitive to movement, take some dramamine. I got seriously motion sick. But when I saw it the second time, I managed to stay through all of it. I liked this movie. It's got on original presentation for the old "something's coming, but we don't know what it is" type story. The ending was beautifully unique, but I won't say anything about that. The only real problem I had was that I couldn't identify with them. I mean, the minute you hear sounds outside your tent while your filiming a documentary on a witch, you leave. But no, they just kept going. Oh, well. I left the movie theater wondering why it scared my friends so much. Then I tried to go to sleep. That was an experience. It's like it kind of waits until you're not expecting it, and then it attacks. I couldn't get to sleep until the sun came up. Definitely worth seeing.

Summary: A film that puts many high budget films to shame
Review: This was a very well edited picture and I believe that it is due to the editing that made this picture so realistic. I am more delighted that this picture put many of the high budget horror films to shame. It just goes to show that with a little ingenuity and imagination filmakers can still strike a cord with the audience. To many filmakers are out for the big dollar and lose the artistic quality that makes movies memorable.

Summary: Big disappointment after all the hype
Review: If I were 10 years old I'm sure this would make me afraid to go to sleep with the light off. But I'm not, and even though I have quite a good imagination I don't think I should have to imagine myself scared! Now, if one could really believe these were authentic videos found after three people disappeared.... that'd be a whole 'nother story!

Summary: The scariest film ever made.
Review: I knew that "The Blair Witch Project" was going to be terrifying, but I didn't know how scary it would be until I actually sat down and started watching it. The movie opens with a fifteen minute sequence of introductions that surprisingly kept my interest. The characters seemed more believeable that way. It was a chance to show us who these students were, what they were like, how they interacted with each other. Then, after the introductions--which include a series of interviews that are extremely important to a viewer's understanding of the film's mystifying ending--the three students head out into the woods. Over the period of six excruciatingly terrifying days, Michael Williams, Heather Donahue and Joshua Leonard go through total hell. Worse than any nightmare I could ever dream. Piles of rocks appear in the night. Strange noises emanate from all around them. Children scream and laugh that aren't there. Its a real goosebump fest. There are moments when we are left in the dark with nothing but the sound to let us know what is going on. During all of these moments of pitch black sound, I was anxiously biting on my knuckles--all THREE TIMES I SAW THE FILM! At the end of the film, I was covered with goosebumps, shivering from head to toe, my heart was beating like a wild man and I was sweating like a pig--again, ALL THREE TIMES! I felt like I had just come out of the woods after a week of being lost. I felt saddened, too. I felt like I'd lost three friends I never knew. "The Blair Witch Project" is the most truly terrifying movie-going experience I've ever seen. I had trouble sleeping when I got home that night. This is undisputedly one of my favorite films. I recommend it to anyone who likes a good--no, scratch that--a FANTABULOUS horror movie.

Summary: Favorite Movie of the Year
Review: A movie hasn't frightened me this much since I saw Jaws for the first time. (and I was 10!) Each year one movie sticks in my mind and and becomes my favorite. This is the first time I have chosen a horror film as my favorite.

Summary: The Scariest Yet
Review: First fo all I would like to say that I have a lot of respect for the actors and actress. The had to put up with a lot during the making of this movie. I'd like to point out that improv isn''t easy to do. After I saw The Blair Witch Project I rented The Exorcist. That isn't scary after I have seen The Blair Witch Project. Now everyone should know that a truly scary movie isn't based on just what's in the movie but what happens after it. If the veiwer is not scared of what ever situation the horror movie was placed in, then the director has not done his job well. The Blair Witch Project makes me sscared of what I don't see and it also scare sme when I'm in the woods.
