Rating: Summary: SCARY!!! Review: The Blair Witch Project is the scariest movie of the century. There has never been a more brilliant film than this. It actually scares the hell out of you and leaves you with lots to think about.
Rating: Summary: Great Movie Review: I was terrified when I saw that movie. i live out of town with a lot of trees around and I didn't want to get out of the car. It was a great movie, even though I still get scared at night. I think about that movie every single day. I even sleep with y lamp on now. That's how scared I am. Even though nothing happened in the movie but the fact that they were being followed and the witch knew they were there was scary enough for me. It a movie everyone has to see.
Rating: Summary: This movie was so well done I truly thought it was real!! Review: Many movies boast the fact that they can truly enchant, enrage or just frighten the bejeezes out of you. This movie does all of the above. I originally walked into the theater thinking that it was stupid, well was that ever wrong. It was like a kids adventure that went seriously wrong, 3 people out on a hike in the woods to shoot a movie. They get lost, run out of food and well you have to see to believe it. I honestly left the theater feeling in my soul I have watched 3 people, not the actors, have their lives torn apart. My instict told me the movie was real, and I believed it.
Rating: Summary: Pretty scary Review: "The Blair Witch Project" was pretty scary considering the low budget. A lot of my friends didn't like it, they didn't think it was scary, but I did. I think the reason I liked it more than they did is because it was like a documentary. And I like documentaries like that. I thought it was more creepy than scary. Especially at the end when they find that building. And the fact that it was filmed 30 minutes away from where I live, that's really creepy.
Rating: Summary: A good home movie that somehow got into theatres Review: This is a good movie, aside from the fact it's utterly un-scary. There are some serious continuity flaws in the movie, like:If this is the footage from their shooting, why is it edited and interspliced between the digital and 16mm camera? Is the Blair Witch a film editor? Why do they run out of food first instead of battery power? They're constantly filming. How did Josh scream without his tongue?
Rating: Summary: Very frightning Review: I thought that this movie was the scariest thing i'd seen in a long time, It beats most of the hollywood movies in horror to date. If you have not seen it i'd highly recomend it for you whant a scare see this. Let your imagination go that it will scare realy good
Rating: Summary: Superb, a renaissance horror film with a chilling ending!!! Review: Please, do not listen to other people, you must see this film for yourself! People are upset about this film, as they feel they are the victims of over hype. I feel there is one way to end that; don't listen! The film was made on a shoestring budjet, and there was no script. The three stars of the film had a basic outline of what direction they wanted to go and adlibbed from there. Many others felt betrayed because the movie was marketed as a "true story", well of course it was, thats what made it so realistic!
Rating: Summary: visceral and (for the most part) believable Review: I thought the most frightening part of TBWP was when Heather looked inside the stick figure - it confirmed what she was hoping wouldn't be true, and it cast an ominous light on all the previous creepy sounds and artefacts that had been going on. That said, I found some of their decisions to be completely inane, which did take away some of the movie's impact. Why did Michael throw away the map? Why didn't they follow the creek instead of disorienting themselves? Creeks don't go in circles! And when they knew that they were being hunted down for real, why in God's name did they keep setting up camp and making themselves sitting ducks? They were in bad shape for sure, but they could have been a little more resourceful instead of passively resigning themselves. If they had been resourceful and still met their doom, it would have made those woods even more hellish. Objections aside, this is a refreshing approach to a horror movie. The improvisational acting is solid and the shaky cameras didn't bother me at all. Best of all, we are left to imagine who or what their attackers were.
Rating: Summary: i have to words for this movie................Genre classic Review: which it is i mean 20 years from now TNT will be showing it along with Halloween its absolutely and unquestionably a genre classic now scarrrrrry buy it for halloween immediately!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Wow! Review: This film creeped me out more than any other I've ever watched in a theater. What makes it so un-nerving is, you never receive any definite answers to any scenarios during the "Project". You're mind is challenged to make up what ever it wants to. My mind decided to run a marathon of ideas!! To watch the total break down of three people's reality into madness was more than I wanted to be subjected to. I ended up sleeping with a light on for a whole week! If you're into the "Jason" or "Freddy Kruger" type of horror film, you'll find this movie to be dull and boring. This film was made for horror buffs who like a challange in their thinking, and that's where the terror comes in. Once was enough for me, but it is truely one of the best!
