Rating: Summary: more than just a movie. Review: I have seen the Blaire witch 5 times and seemed to have noticed something different every time. maybe if the people that don't like it should have seen the movie about it on tv first called the blaire witch. It really made more sense to me after seeing this one first. I loved it and am looking forward to the video release. i saw them at the comic book convention in San Diego ca. and bought some really cool things. Even if it was just a marketing sceme it was worth it. someone did something right if they made that much money with only the little amout that was spent on making it.
Rating: Summary: The scariest most believable horror movie ever made! Review: I took my 14 year old son to see this movie upon his request expecting the typical blood, guts and gore and was very surprised at what I saw. I have seen many horror flicks but this one took the cake. We walked out of the theater wondering if this was real! It took us a few days to process that this was only a movie like the rest. I thought it was very clever to make it in this form. Never seen anything like it. It grabs you and won't let go. You get really scared as if you are there or are watching someone you know, Then it lets you down easy. Then before you know it you are terrified again. This is a must see for anyone who likes to get spooked!
Rating: Summary: Boring, terrible, absolutely horrible. Review: The best part of this movie was when the lights came back on in the theater. I have never seen a worse move. It wasn't scary and it wasn't interesting. It was about three idiots screaming at each other. Probably the worst ending of all time. Everyone in the theater said is that all there is? A waste of money! The only reason it made money was because of the hype!
Rating: Summary: A masterpiece of film work Review: This original and unique film was by far the greatest movie ever created....it will scare the shit out of just about anyone and the acting was pretty good too! This fascinating, terrifying and heart-breaking tale is a really excellent piece of work....I recommend it to EVERYONE.
Rating: Summary: The suspense build-up was great but the end was a let-down. Review: The suspense build-up was fantastic. I was so engrossed during the night scenes, because I had projected myself into the movie, that I actually stopped noticing the shaky video. This is the only movie since viewing the Dutch version of "The Vanishing" that scared me. However, unlike the ending to "The Vanishing", the ending to "The Blair Witch Project" was extremely disappointing.
Rating: Summary: I was really surprised to find out it wasn't real! Review: Even though the filming makes your eyes hurt and your head spin, it makes up for the psychological intensity you feel. You knew they were obviously going to be in trouble, but the question was when and how. I think the filmmakers were geniouses in making a movie that seemed so real, not just in the filming, but also playing with the actors' minds to make their emotions really come out.
Rating: Summary: Dramatic well thought out edge of seater Review: why ruin a really good movie with words that may make a person not want to see it
Rating: Summary: This Movie Is Not Worth The Money Review: I saw this movie, and i wuz very dissipointed. First of all, the plot didn't make sense, it wuzn't scarey. The only people who are laughing are the people who made the movie, cuz they are now rich off suckers like us. Also, thiz movie is not based on a real story, itz a fake. I mean come-on, whats so scarey about a circle of rocks? You never got to see what wuz doing all these wierd thingz. FAKE FAKE, Not scarey. Thanx 4 yo time. LOL
Rating: Summary: If this is scary, we have lost our senses Review: Hey the hype is hype. A group of morons go to the woods, throw away their compass, and worry about filming everything as they become victims of the Lord of the Flies syndrome. Please, give me a break, give me some good honest stuff from Psych 1, or even the old Haunting. Not escapades of the the three stooges in the woods.
Rating: Summary: A great film if you missed the hype Review: I watched The Blair Witch Project and it scared the hell out of me. However I hadn't even heard of the film before I saw it and was told that it was a true story. The real fear was the thought that these people were actually going through this. I may have well been in the tent with them because I couldn't bear to look at the screen. I loved this film and the buzz I still had afterwards, but if I knew most of the plot before I saw it, then it would've been destroyed. Unfortunately by reading most of the other reviews here you may have already ruined it for yourself!
