Summary: Disurbingly original.
Review: I really enjoyed the creepy feel of the movie, and spent the whole time telling myself , " this is only a movie" over and over. I really enjoyed it.

Summary: This movie bites!
Review: I cannot believe all these 4 and 5-star ratings I'm seeing! I have had to endure watching that movie 3 times! The first time I was so anxious to see it that I saw it alone. At the end of the movie , I looked over at the guy next to me and we just gave each other a look like "that was it!" I just could not believe the ending, or any other part of it. Then, my mom wanted to see it and luckily she paid for me. She didn't believe me when I said it wasn't scary. She gets scared easily, and was disappointed also. Then, my friend wanted to see it and of course she wouldn't listen either, but she found out also. So at least I know I'm not the only one that hated it. Oh well, I guess we just don't have enough "imagination". And all the silence in the movie theater wasn't from people being scared, it was from them probably being asleep!

Summary: IT WAS GREAT BUT AT THE END WAS ODD,WHAT ABOUT THE KIDS?
Review: I THOUGHT THE MOVIE WAS GREAT EXCEPT I THINK IT SHOULD HAVE SHOWN HOW THE TEENAGERS GOT KILLED. AND I WANT TO KNOW WHAT WAS WITH THE ENDING WHEN IT SAID "THIS FOOTAGE HAS RECENTLY BEEN FOUND". IT WASN'T THE REAL KIDS WHO GOT LOST IT WAS STILL THE ACTORS.ALL I WANT TO KNOW IS THE STORY LINE TRUE OR NOT?!

Summary: do not reccomend
Review: This movie was a disappointment. I have a vivid imagination and scare fairly easily. I spent this movie rolling my eyes. It moves slow and the diaglouge and banter between characters is tiring.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Almost a psychological Experiment
Review: The movie was great, scary as hell. The refreshing antithesis of the current trend of "all special FX/no plot" movies of late (Batman 3-?, Star Wars I, etc..)

Look at the reviews, either you love it or hate it. To be able to watch this movie, knowing it is fiction, and still be scared, you must 1. Have a strong imagination and 2. Be able associate with the characters, put yourself in their place.

THESIS: Those who love it are generally imaginative, empathetic individuals. Those who hate it are very analytical and rather unsympathetic.

Take a look around a folks you know who have seen it and see if my theory holds up.

Of course its possible that a person who hates it is empathetic but their analytical mind is so strong that it dismisses the whole thing cause it already knows its fiction.

Anyway, I would suggest watching it at home with the lights out in the proper atmosphere. Screaming infants and chattering pre-adolescents in the theatres are to distracting. And if you are one of those people who brings a 10 month old to the theatre, STOP!

Summary: excessive argument and a disconcerting end
Review: I can only say that hype and expectations aside, I was basically annoyed by the extended arguments. I realize that such arguments would take place in a situation like that, but I couldn't stand the couple of incidences where they argued about turning the camera off and one of the guys rushed her.

Was registered some fear was that there although this is a mock documentary, there really are sick murderers out there (just look at the True Crime section of your local bookstore). I was unnerved by the last few seconds of the film- Mike standing in the corner, his back to us, and Heather falling on the ground. I can't even begin to imagine what it must feel like for someone to make you face away in a corner while he murdered your friend, knowing that you were next.

That's real fear.

Summary: YOU MEAN NO ONE HAD A CELLPHONE?? C'MON!
Review: yeah it was cheesy and badly acted in spots, and the arguing was annoying, but it was still pretty creepy and worth at least one viewing...better than the laughably bad Scream...oh, p.s. go rent RUSHMORE! it rocks.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Scared the **** out of me.
Review: I had heard very little about this movie before I rented it, only that it was pretty scary. I didn't know what to expect, maybe a Friday the 13th kind of scary, but this is totally different. The documentary style of the movie is what really terrified me -- it seemed so real.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: A suspenseful journey that leads to a dissappointing ending.
Review: This movie will keep you on the edge of your seat all the way to the ending. This movie has a way of holding your attention for over an hour. Only to show you very little at the end. But the movie did do one thing,it left itself open for a awesome sequel.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Genuinely scary
Review: Rarely does a film create an atmospere that the viewer can find as believable as the blair witch project. The "amateur" filming along with the superb acting by three unknowns worked to create one of the most terrifying experiences I have ever viewed. It is the work of pure genuis and if you view it as otherwise you probably missed the idea all along. The unknown is far more frightening than the known. Unbelievably good. Five stars plus.
