Summary: the best legitimately scary movie since the excorcist!!!
Review: i believe i was one of the few people in america who hadnt seen this gem.i guess i was being stubborn and going against the hype, so i broke down and purchased it on amazon.com. With an already pessimistic view of it even before seeing this.Blair witch was going to have to knock my socks off to get my respect. To my utter surprise this movie, put simply, is the scariest movie ive personally seen, with maybe the possible exception of the exorcist.i congratulate the makers, cast and crew of this movie for finally making a genuinely scary flick. The best movie of 99, this should get oscar consideration.Simply awesome!!!! Mostly because it didnt have to depend on the usual blood and violence of horror movies. It plays on the human mind. Thanks!!!!

Summary: how good the movie was
Review: The movie was very realistic. I think that just about everyone I know that watched it had a nightmare. To make it even scarier we took one of our friends out to an old abandoned house right after we all watched the movie and it even scared me a little bit and it was my idea. I still can't figure out weather it is or isn't a true story yet. I thought is was good because it was like reading a book and how they make it so you can't put the book down only I couldn't take my eye of the movie. I seems like the only way you will be able to understand the movie is if you listen very carefully to the begining and everything that they say kind of sticks in your head.

Summary: SCAREY AS HELL
Review: In the hour and a half of watching this movie, I have never been more terrified. The fact of knowing this really happened and these 3 students are missing and still have never been found is creepy enough, but to see this kind of footage on tv brings it all to life. Anyone who loves a good horror movie should diffinately watch this movie. I guarantee it will leave chills all over your body for days to come.

Summary: It stays with you for a while
Review: If you like the outdoors, dont see this movie! you'll never see it the same. The people who "didn't get it" are probably couch potatos anyway. The fear of the unknown comes directly from the individuals imagination watching this film. Who left the graves? Mikes teeth? Was that Mike yelling in pain from the woods? Was it the Witch? Rustin Parr? Lots of questions to try to disect in your mind. The ending is truly terror!

Summary: Dissapointed not by film, but dvd.
Review: The DVD is slightly dissapointing. I was expecting more deleted scenes, especially since the directors say in the commentary, "we hope this deleted scene makes it on the DVD." there's only one long drawn out scene about what they think the witch really is. And, unlike all the television previews, you don't see the video as video, rather it is a film transfer. I wanted the more realistic video to be used. The director's commentary is amoung better that I've heard. You actually get let on a few secrets of the film, and learn why a simple scene around the campfire was the most expensive part in the film@

Summary: A Chill that Lingers.....
Review: Remember the classic line from Poltergeist: "It knows what scares you"? The writers and producers of this film know what REALLY frightens us....not the slash-and-burn gore or hiding-behind-the-door frights of most modern horror films. No, the fear you will feel welling up in you while watching this movie (and for days afterward) is more basic and primal; the fear of being lost, alone, hungry, and hunted; of the monster that lurks just out of sight. It reawakens and brutally exploits those basic childhood fears that most of us have buried. This movie isn't designed to make you jump in your seat, but it will chill you to the bone. It is claustrophobic, harrowing, tortuous....and wonderful.

Summary: OH HELL NO!!
Review: Kids, I saw this show on A&E before I knew anything about the movie. I did not sleep the night after watching it and only slept a little the next night. If you can use your imagination and are a creative person, I INSIST that you watch this movie!!! I am 32 years old, know that the whole thing is a fake, and am still scared as hell to watch it.

Summary: Totally Creepy and Scary!
Review: This movie scared the s - - t out of me. No fancy costumes, no fancy sets. Just plain and simple people filming a documentary. It seemed so real, it could have been me and two of my friends out in the woods. It could have been anybody! This was an excellent and exceptional film.

Summary: Bogus
Review: Not being a prud, I tired early of all the "F" words from everyone. After all the hype, I was bored and couldn't wait til it was over. Thank goodness it was only 1 hour and fifteen minutes wasted.
