Summary: 5 Stars for Marketing....3 Stars for the Movie
Review: I had mixed feelings after I watched the Blair Witch Project. The hype and media sensation of the movie was the reason why I rented it. I thought the story was original and the night scenes suspenseful. My wife was on the edge during the middle and later parts of the film. However, I felt the movie could of offered more. I found at times the constant swearing and fighting was annoying. Overall, I liked some parts of the movie but I wouldn't rank it as the best horror/suspense movie of 1999. My vote for best suspense movie is the 6th Sense.

Summary: Gee!
Review: Good, this film is great! The fact of you don't know what is scaring the 3 actors is just amazing! I don't like very much this kind of films, but this one is better than I expected. And the end is so tragic! The wall stained by children hands! Oh, I don't know what to said. This film will be a classic.

Summary: I've seen stuff in my fridge scarier than this.
Review: OK, so I will give it some credit. It was scary the last 3 minutes. But the other hour and 12 minutes seemed to be fuzzy, migrane inducing footage of grass going by as whoever was holding the camera ran from some unseen 'witch'... or chased after the punk that kicked the map into the river. The plot is almost impossible to follow, unless it was for the characters to argue about trivial things. This movie was definatly not what it's all hyped up to be.

Summary: Um, And the Hype was For?
Review: I actually got excited to see this film. Boy was I dissapointed. Although the lack of effects does give it some credibility as a good piece of film making, it was not I repeat not, for those who like to be scared.

Summary: PEOPLE WITHOUT IMAGINATION STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!
Review: In my opinion, the reason for this extremely wide range of opinions, is that the movie's ability to scare us depends on our ability to let our own mind fill in the blanks. That's whats wonderful about this film. It gives us a terrifying premise, and allows us to incorporate our own worst fears and scariest "boogiemen" into the darkness we see. For those viewers (and there are many) who are fortunate enough to have an imagination which complements this unique "mockumentary", they are rewarded by a truly frightenening movie experience that few films can rival. I would recommend this film to anyone just on its premise alone.

Summary: It was good but...
Review: It was very good. It scared the hell out of me...until i found out it wasn't real. These 3 actors did an incredible job. I do have a question that I would like answered though. Ok..so I know the movie wasn't real but what about the curse? Was there really a blair witch and is there really a legend. Was it all make believe?

Summary: It was like it was really happening to me !!
Review: It really scared the hell out of me. I watched it by myself at 9:00 pm and was awake until 6:00 am the next day I was so scared. I didn't find out until after the movie was over and 3 days later that it wasn't true. That really made me mad. But the movie kicked butt anyway. It all seemed as though it was happening to me while watching it. Knowing its now not true I still think about it every night before I sleep!

Summary: Terrible!
Review: This has got to be the WORST movie I have ever had the displeasure of watching. 10 minutes into the movie, I wanted all of the characters to just die already to put ME out of my misery. I will concede that the concept was excellent - however, the characters (she was extremely annoying & pretentious - does she ever SHUT UP?!?), the dialogue and the hand held camera work was nauseating - literally & figuratively. I need some dramamine as I was suffering from motion sickness throughout the movie.

This was a complete waste of my time and money.

Summary: This movie blows!
Review: The best suspense of this film is seen during the commercials on television. What a waste of an hour and a half. You only live once, so don't waste your time on this flick.

Summary: BWP is going to be one of the classics!!!
Review: It's awesome watching this horror movie on DVD! Why? First of all, this movie was filmed in a very interesting way which takes its audience with them. Although there is no Holleywood style violent nor bloody scenes in this movie, you can completely share the fear the 3 main characters had when they were in the woods. Secondly, the DVD contains the bonus materials that explains more on the legend of Blair Witch as well as the background story of this film. If you would like to watch BWP, definitly try its DVD version. It's also a collection item. I rented the DVD first and enjoyed so much from it before I purchased my own DVD.
