Rating: Summary: Still scared Review: I saw this movie the first time it showed on tv, a while ago. I taped it off of tv and someone took it! But the best thing I remember is when Pennywise gets Georgie, and all he says is," HEY GEORGIE, WANNA PLAY...WE ALL FLOAT DOWN HERE!" Or something like that.. My brother ran around saying that for weeks because it scared me like crazy. He is excellent in this movie!
Rating: Summary: Best TV adaptation of a King book yet. Review: The only time I've seen a better casting decision then Curry as Pennywise is in the recent adaptation of Alice in Wonderand, with Martin Short as the Mad Hatter. I think the man was born and raised simply so that he could pay that part. But back to Curry. He was supurb. There are no other words for it. The rest? I cannot believe any of the older versions are in their fourties. Especially the geek. I can't remember his name right now, and I don't have the book with me. They play the parts well, but the age thing bothers me. The ending was a huge dissapointment after reading the book, of course, but...Well, how could they have improved upon it? I certainly don't have a clue. I think this was the best job that could have been done, and the best adaptation of a King book I've seen. TOmmyknockers? Come one. That was just sad.
Rating: Summary: IT WAS A GREAT HORROR FILM. Review: TIM CURRY TRULY FRIGHTENED ME IN THIS MOVIE.I DIDN'T KNOW HE COULD BE THAT SCARY.THEY REALLY PICKED A AWESOME PERSON TO PLAY THE PART OF PENNYWISE.
Rating: Summary: IT WAS TRULY A GREAT HORROR FILM Review: I WAS NEVER REALLY AFRAID OF CLOWNS UNTIL I WATCHED THIS MOVIE.FOR ANYONE WHO LOVES STEPHEN KING MOVIES I RECOMMEND THAT YOU WATCH IT.
Rating: Summary: AWESOME! Review: this movie is so cool! they seriously should have released it in theaters. it grabs your attention from the beginning all the way through the whole 3 hours until the very end! if you haven't seen it yet, you don't know what you're missing. it's by far the best TV movie ever made!!!
Rating: Summary: Tim Curry is fantastic in this horror classic from King! Review: This film was aired on television so it is somewhat cencored from the book's original concept, but whe work is still very well represented. Tim Curry is amazing in his star role as Pennywise. The story points out not only the horror stalking the children of the town, but also the abusive nature of the adults in their lives. Gripping until the end, send the kiddies to bed early.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Horror Movie!!!!! Review: This was a great horror movie!!!! Tim Curry did a great job playing Pennywise. I liked the scenes when they were kids best because it had more detail and it was planned better. The ending was cheesy, but overall, it was very well done.
Rating: Summary: It - An Adventure In Horror! Review: When the novel It came out I was stationed in Berlin, Germany. I read this to my children (it took a long time) and 14 years later they still remember the intensity of the story. Both children remember not to play in storm drains. In any case, the movie was a long adaptation of the book and until the very end where the essense of Pennywise the Clown is discovered it was a great television movie. I enjoyed the movie, bought the 2 tape long version and highly recommend that King fans watch the movie and form their own opinion of whether or not they like it.
