Rating: Summary: One of the best Horror/Sci-Fi Films of all time! Review: Characterization: First of all, the characters are well portrayed by the great actors who star in the movie. They all have very distinct characteristics and manerisms that make this movie as one of the best horror films.
Script: The script is the best one in the Alien series and unfortuanly, after this movie, the plot just gets worse with each sequal.
The directing is amazing in this film, but one would only consider great films by one of the masters, Ridley Scott.
The art work is amazing as well, most of which is based off of H.R. Giger.
One of the best films of all time, and puts most horror and science fiction films to shame.
Rating: Summary: the most boring movie in existance Review: This film had that dark, brooding feel of a futuristic Ridley Scott classic that's a rare treat in modern film. The sheer horror of the well-developed storyline makes one fear the unavoidable ending, yet we still cling to that shred of hope in the form of Ripley. This is hands-down one of the best sci-fi horror flicks ever made. It scared the hell out of me, I'm not ashamed to say. Indeed, nobody can hear you scream in outer space.
Rating: Summary: Best Of The Series Review: One reviewer said that the Nostromo landed on a planet. Actually, in the story the the Nostromo landed on Titan. Interestingly, the Cassini/Huygens probe is scheduled to land on Titan in January 2005. The word at ESA is that there may be an abandoned craft on Titan and they want some pictures of whatever is moving around "up there".
Rating: Summary: Still a classic Review: So few movies stand the test of time like this one does. I remember the first time I saw this and how the chest scene nearly caused me to jump out of my skin, and still does! This film set a new standard for Science Fiction, and it's so nice to see it packaged like this. The extras are just great!
