Summary: Watch those tentacles...
Review: I remember back when I saw the part where the Graboid pulled that big truck with the lady inside under the ground, when I was only three years old. It scared the heck out of me and I've always been freaked by TREMORS until I watched it two years ago. I thought it was awesome! The sound of giant man-eating worms that hunt underground by vibration really appeals to me! :) And those cool tentacles that grab onto you really add to the Graboids' appearance. I loved the ways they killed the four Graboids, although if it was my movie I would've made ten Graboids. By the way, the cast was awesome. A perfect group of average people on a ranch fighting for survival. Listed below are the ways they killed the Graboids. Don't read them unless you want the movie spoiled for you.

1) Val (Kevin Bacon) and Earl (Fred Ward) are running like crazy out in a field to get away from this worm and they jump into a ditch with walls around. The worm is blind so it doesn't see the wall coming and smashes into it, killing it.

2) Burt and Heather Gummer are in their basement and Burt is stubborn to understand Val telling him to get up on their roof. This next scene, I thought, was intense! The Graboid crashes into the basement and Burt and Heather continue to shoot at him with all different kinds of rifles. Then Heather throws a small fiery thing into its mouth and Burt shoots it one last time and it's dead.

3) I thought this way to kill, created by Earl, was very clever. The whole group is on a rock. To get the Graboid's attention, they throw rocks out on the ground. When they know he's there, Earl attaches one of Burt's bombs to a rope and lassoes it out into the field. The monster swallows it and explodes.

4) Val, Earl, and Rhonda are frozen out in the field, making no vibrations. The others urge Val to use the last bomb, but he refuses. Then he takes off running to the edge of the cliff. He stops and lights the bomb. You can figure out by watching that Val purposely misses the Graboid when he throws the bomb. Earl and Rhonda take off. Val jumps out of the way and the worm crashes through the canyon wall (similar to Number 1) and falls to his death.

I thought this movie was incredible and I enjoyed every minute of it. It never gets boring! I suggest you rent it sometime.

Summary: It'll make you smile
Review: Okay, so the premise is [bad]...: big giant man-eating worms that tunnel through dirt faster than you can run. A _lot_ faster than you can run. But it's funny, and witty, and engaging. The chemistry between Bacon and Ward makes me want to see them in more movies together. And some of the scenes...when the worm breaks through the basement wall, and the camera pans over to a wall full of weapons...it's an armory in there! The expression on Gross's and MacIntyre's faces: now it's our turn, buster! Let's see what all this survivalist gear can do! I've watched this movie maybe a dozen times. I've never gotten tired of it.

Summary: Great horror/comedy flick
Review: Tremors is a throw back to the times of the science fiction movies of the 1950's, similar to Them, only with giant underground worms instead of giant ants. This movie could have fallen apart if it had tried to take itself too seriously, but fortunately for us, it doesn't, so it's just a plain old fun hoot to watch. I enjoyed it immensely.

Let me say first that I loved the cast. I've never seen Kevin Bacon look so kicked back in any other role, and that was the only way to really play his character. He did a fantastic job of bringing a laid back attitude to his character of Val, and showing signs of daring and ingenuity when the role of hero is forced upon him and his sidekick, Earl(played by Fred Ward). Fred Ward does an outstanding job as Val's long time friend and partner. Their on screen chemistry as friends looked so real that you could imagine these two actors had known each other their entire lives. It would be hard to think of a single cast member who didn't do an excellent job so I won't mention them all, but do want to say that Michael Gross and Reba McEntire were hilarious as two survivalists who were living in the area because they had wanted to get away from everything.

The movie was excellent from beginning to end, but really kicks into high gear after the worms are discovered, and they begin rampaging the town. Watching the citizens of the town banding together, trying to think of a way to save themselves from being eaten, and escape to the mountains where the worms wouldn't be able to follow them was a real pleasure.

There were so many pitfalls this movie could have fallen into, but I believe the director did a great job of avoiding them. So, if you're in the mood for some entertainment, where you're not required to think too much, and where you can watch a cast who looked like they were having a really fun time making a movie, then I suggest you go out and rent or buy this one.

Summary: Great horror/comedy film.
Review: This is one of those movies that will make the viewer laugh in one scene and then be scared to death the next. Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward play great parts in the movie as they try to survive an attack by underground monsters in a small isolated town in the middle of the desert. Tremors is not too scary for older kids, due to the fact that their is not excessive blood and gore like most horror movies. A great film to watch.

Summary: Scared the you know what out of me
Review: Because I watched it when I was a kid. Me and my friends liked this movie just as much as PRINCESS BRIDE. We watched it at every birthday party. It was SO scary. Of course now if I saw it I'd think it was stupid, but at the time those tremors gave me tremors. The idea of these giant worm-things burrowing through CONCRETE WALLS and eating people horribly with plenty of effects and blood and gore was horrifying. I don't know if it would be as scary for anyone now.

Summary: Fun to Watch
Review: This movie clearly shows that the cast and the director didn't take the movie seriously. But that's okay because Tremors is fun to watch, hilarious in some scenes, and not too much blood and gore to make it just like a horror flick. All the actors played their parts very well and the plot is good enough for a movie like this. In fact, my major dissapointment is that the monsters don't look anything like the thing on the cover.All,in all, a great video to watch when trying to relax or having a party.

Summary: Who knew? Giant Worms in Nevada!!!!
Review: The first time I saw this movie I laughed, I was young and with a bunch of friends. But then I thought about the movie as I watched it more. The years went by and I realized that yes, this is a pretty darn scary movie. Not really a gorefest by any means the movie relies a lot on the imagination when it comes to knowing someone has died horribly by Worm Muy Grande! Hence keeping it's PG-13 rating. Alternately funny and terrifying, Tremors gets my vote as one of the best horror movies made in the 1990's (and no, I'm not joking). Critics like to harp on it's use of old Cold War monster movie plotlines, but give me a break, if you can't watch and enjoy this movie for what it is then you are way too serious about watching movies. The creature effects are pretty darn good, the cast is likeable and even gels with (gasp)a semblance of community! And overall this movie is pure people, I mean popcorn munching fun. So if you like the idea of being attacked by giant worms with no sign of help and apparenly no way of escape then check Tremors out.

Review: "Tremors" is a cool movie. But it's not your typical horror flick, it's more like a comedy/horror. Some snakelike creatures that can burrow underground, terrorize some people in the desert.

"Tremors" is a fun adventure for anybody who likes horror movies. It has cool special effects, a decent plot, and some good acting. Kevin Bacon does a great job like usual, and so does everybody else, even country singer Reba McEntire. Some parts of the movie are funny, and others have good suspense while they try to defend themselves from these giant subterranian monsters. I recommend "Tremors" to anybody who likes horror movies with a hint of adventure and comedy in them.

Review: Tremors is such a good movie because it is not a horror movie but and adventure movie. It has a good touch of comedy in it too and that makes is it great. Definitely a must see.

Summary: Quirky "Horror" Comedy
Review: In TREMORS, a small desert town is attacked by huge man-eating, destructive 'worms', and two cowboys - Fred Ward and Kevin Bacon - set out to stop them. That's the premise: no explanation for the worms' arrival, no elaboration.

And this works. TREMORS is not a horror movie: it's not even scary. Sure, some moments make your heart beat a little faster, such as when the guys are being chased across land by the worms. But TREMORS doesn't take itself seriously, and you shouldn't take it seriously either.

A few of the jokes fall flat, but on the whole TREMORS is an amusing, quirky comedy that's been overlooked.
