Summary: Damned funny!
Review: Truly the best horror movie I've ever seen, though it was more of a comedy. Every attempt at humor in this film was done flawlessly, accompanied with excessive amounts of blood, pain, and a few decapitations. The sequel, Army of Darkness, is good, and I recomend seeing it, but it's not great. I haven't seen Evil Dead(1), but my friends say it's a piece of crap, and it's better to pretend it doesnt exist at all. Everything I have encountered supports this. If you haven't seen Evil Dead 2, then may a flying zombie eat your soul!

Summary: Horror to the max
Review: Simply THE best horror movie of all times!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Ash Returns once again to battle the deadites!!
Review: Bruce Campbell returns once again as the Chainsaw-clad, shotgun toting Ash. A hero who, unlike most is just a guy thrown into a whilwind of chaos and well, Fluids. Ash and the gang go to a cabin in the woods, and come upon the ancient book "The Necronomicon", accidentally letting Demons into the world. The film is a classic, as good as the first(If not better), and a great predecessor to the also now classic "Army of Darkness". I recommend the entire trilogy to any Dark comedy/ Horror buff.

Summary: IT IS NOT A REMAKE ! (LET ME EXPLAIN) -
Review: WHEN SAM RAIMI BEGAN THE MAKING OF THIS FILM, HE NO LONGER HAD THE RIGHTS TO THE FIRST MOVIE'S FOOTAGE : THAT IS WHY THE FIRST 10-15 MINUTES ARE SPENT WITH ASH GOING TO THE CABIN. IT WAS A (BAD) REMAKE OF THE "EVIL DEAD"'S BEGINING. I HEARD SAM RAIMI HIMSELF EXPLAIN THIS IN AN INTERVIEW A FEW YEARS AGO. NOT REMAKE - SEQUAL.

Summary: Three stooges meet a horror film
Review: Sam Ramei has a vision of how to circumvent the studio brain dead trust, by making low budget original films. I have seen this movie approx. thirty-five times and each time I find something new in the movie. Only a great movie and story can provide that. See the movie! Bruce Cambell could kick John Wayne's rear any day.

Summary: The Cult Film Classic Has Never Looked Better
Review: A film I cite as one of the top inspirations for becoming a filmmaker, ED2 is one the best examples of a creative mind. And the DVD is one of the finest transfers I have ever seen. Maybe too good, as sometimes ghosting would be very evident. But the colors are excellent and it looks as if it was filmed a few years ago instead of almost 15 years ago. A must own for any horror enthusiast with a DVD player

Summary: AMAZON HAS THE WUSSIEFIED VERSION OF EVIL DEAD 2!
Review: WHY DID ANCHOR BAY ONLY RELEASE THE VIOLENCE TONED DOWN VERSION OF EVIL DEAD 2?!?!? IF YOU THINK THIS MOVIE IS NOT THAT BLOODY THINK AGAIN, IF YOU NOTICE INSIDE THE REVERSE COVER OF THE COLLECTORS EDITION YOU SEE A PICTURE OF THE AFTER MATH OF THAT SCIENTIST DUDE BEING CHOPPED UP AND YOU ALSO SEE THE HAND CHOKING ASH WHICH NEVER MADE IT IN THE WIMPS ONLY VERSION, READ THE DAMN CRITIC RAVES , THEY SAY ITS BLOODIER THAN THE FIRST CAUSE IT IS!AND THE CHOPING OF THE SCIENTIST DUDE SCENE IS WAY MORE DISGUSTING THAN THE CHOPPING OF SHELLY FROM THE FIRST ONE. IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE ORIGANAL RESTORED VERSION YOUR GONNA HAVE TO GO TO A VIDEO STORE THAT STILL HAS THE OLD RELEASE FROM THE EARLY 80'S BUT IF YOU WANT TO OWN IT, NOT A CHANCE. THIS FILM IS MORE GRISLY THAN YOU THINK. IT STILL ROCKS. BRUCE IS WONDERFUL. THIS IS SAMS BEST MOVIE . ITS SHOWS YOU HE COULD ACTUALLY DIRECT A MOVIE THAT HAD A CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, STYLE , AND A GOOD STORY . SAM MAY SUCK NOW BUT THIS IS A GREAT FILM.

Summary: EXCELLENT horror flick to watch with your significant other!
Review: This sequel to the original is just as good, if not better. The movie cleverly uses classic suspense and startling techniques to get the best rise out of you ever. It's a great flick to scare the pants off of ya (so to speak). It's not a serious horror movie either, which is a nice twist. The humorous and morbid comedy is unique and very entertaining. Don't let the age of the movie deter you, either. Even though it's relatively old, it is still top on my list of all-time favorites. This movie is in a catagory all its own, but it ranks with the best horror films like Exorcist, Pet Cemetary, and Alien, In My Humble Opinion.

Basically, this movie makes yo want to curl up in a ball, cover yourself with a blanket, and snuggle up to someone to protect you - the perfect "date" movie!

P.S. Make sure you at least watch this one before seeing Army of Darkness. Otherwise, you will be sorta lost. I STRONGLY recommend seeing all three!!
