Rating: Summary: A True Disappointment Review: After reading the good reviews of this flick I've seen on the internet, I decided to go and rent this one. I don't know what the reviewers were thinking (they must have been on crack) because this movie sucked! The acting was cheap and the demons were not frightening at all! For college-level work this was good, but its got competition out there that it just can't compare to. The romance of the main couple in this film was just not believable to me -- I kept finding myself forgetting they were boyfriend and girlfriend since it just didn't seem to fit. The only fair aspect of this film was the gore (rather low-budget, but still good) at the end of the movie. In conclusion, after watching this video, I wished I had done something else with my time!
Rating: Summary: Gore and more gore Review: evil dead was a gore fest and I loved every minute of it! A must have! You have to buy the collector's edition! You wouldn't be disappointed. Groovy!
Rating: Summary: One of the grossest and best horror films ever! Review: "The Evil Dead" was the beginning of two legacies: The legacy of Sam Raimi and the legend of Bruce Campbell. It begins with a rather corny, but still interest keeping scene with an old car that goes out of control--which also showcases the most exxagerated scream by a girl in a horror flick ever. Then, we are taken out into the woods to see a broken down old cabin with a porch bench that bangs against the front side of the house like an impatient Johovah's Witness. Ash (played by the coolest guy ever, Bruce Campbell) and his four friends go out into the woods for some piece and quiet, and what they get is a first hand lesson in the rules of messing with the Evil Dead. Each of the friends, beginning with Ash's sister, turn into blood-gushing, puss-spewing, trash-talking demons that torture Ash down to the depths of his soul. No roller coaster in the world can prepare you for the grueling, blood-soaked, thrill-ride that is "The Evil Dead."
Rating: Summary: Strong Horror in great Movie Review: Evil Dead seems to be the most original and best evermade horror movie in the whole world. Sam Raimi realized this milestone with a very small Budget and I personally think, that no other horror movie is going to beat the amazing quality of this film. Bruce Campbells break through was granted with this excellent piece of 80's Hardcore Horror Cinema. By the way: This movie is very famous and successful in Europe too. In Germany it was banned from 1985 till 1993 and on it's Re-release it made even more money than in 1984, when the film was running in German Cinemas under the title "Tanz der Teufel" which means in english "Dance of the Devils". To make it short now: Buy this great masterpiece and have a good time viewing it. You won't be disapponited!
Rating: Summary: THIS SLASHER MOVIE IS A CLASSIC! Review: If you haven't seen these movie yet go and rent it now, this is a cool horrorflick I mean how many horror/slasher movies did so well as this one?And it has tow sequals Evil Dead II and Army Of Darkness.
Rating: Summary: It gets better Review: Stylish and gory. This movie is one of the sickest I've ever seen.Still it's the best horror flick to watch. This series got better as it went along.
Rating: Summary: Wild!!!! Review: This is one of my all time favorites in the horror genre. It packs all the punch that typical slasher movies lack. It has gore, frights, and wit on top of it. It also doesn't sport any of the cheesy one liners that Fred Krueger copped off in every one of his movies. Sam Raimi is very flexible. He would go on to make the incredible " A Simple Plan " not to mention the two hillarious sequels to follow " Evil Dead ". The ending sequence lacks mindless chit-chat and just fills your face with gore and scares. A five all the way!!!!
Rating: Summary: A must for horror buffs!!! Review: A truly scary movie that should be only veiwed in the dark! This is an excellent horror movie considering it's budget ( not very big at all) with buckets and buckets of blood, gore and body parts. Five people venture into the woods ( Where else???) to stay in a little log cabin in the middle of nowhere. Once there, they find The Book Of The Dead in the cellar...and so the carnage begins!!!!
Rating: Summary: YOU NEED TO BUY THIS MOVIE Review: This movie rocks, I love it. I think it is the one of the best horror movies ever. None of my friends have seen it, only one has and that is because I told him, and he thinks it is scary also. And not much scares us. I'm telling you, WATCH EVIL DEAD!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Evil Dead is a great cult/horror/b grade movie Review: Wow, this movie is one of the grossest yet best movies I've seen. Bruce Campbell is an excellent actor. I highly reccomend this movie to everyone(if you have a strong stomach) See this movie. The sequel may be even better.
