Rating: Summary: Horrible Review: I know horror movies aren't very good anyways for the most part but this movie was horrible. The acting could have been done better by high school drama students. This is the first movie that I have ever walked out on. And I wasn't the only one. The rest of the theater emptied when people learned the could get their money back. This movie is even worth renting much less buying
Rating: Summary: Give it a break, people Review: In my opinion I liked this movie better than the Resident Evil movie. Mostly because I knew this was going to be, pretty much, a mindless shoot em'up, mowe em'down type of movie because thats what the game was. Alot of this movie is zombies getting shot and thats what the whole game is. The stories in the game and movie are different but the game's story was somewhat dull as was the one in the movie. They could have layed off on the game footage and only have show it during the beginning credits, though. They also should have put more monsters in it besides just the zombies. However I have more problems with the Resident Evil movie than I do with this one. The Resident Evil game had a great story, atmosphere and characters. Paul Anderson took all that away and put his own dull crap in. The look of the game was very dark and atmospheric like a horror movie should be, but the movie was new and advanced not like a horror movie should be. My point is that House of the Dead is just a mindless fun movie like the game. The qualities of Resident Evil are completely different from those in it's game. Too bad George A. Romero didn't direct it. Now that would have been one hell of a horror movie.
Rating: Summary: The Funniest Movie I've Ever Seen Review: This movie is so terribly bad, so horribly done, that to not see it is a travesty in itself. I paid 75 cents to see it in the theatre and laughed the entire time. This is the perfect movie to rent and watch with a bunch of friends while drinking cases of beer, it's so hilariously bad, it's genuis.
Rating: Summary: REALLY, REALLY, REALLY BAD Review: Shows how not to make a movie. Bad filmmaking, editing, acting, you name it, this movie lacked it. It just shows how our society will milk anything for a buck. Should have went directly to video. The video game this was based on is great, this certainly can't be compared to that video game, or even a really, really, really, bad horror movie. This just plain sucked...even more so than House Of A 1,000 Corpes.
Rating: Summary: Worst horror movie since Jason X... Review: So this year has been a very good year for horror movies with 28 Days Later, House of 1000 Corpses, Freddy vs. Jason, Cabin Fever, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and a couple others. Compared to the last couple of years horror movies have been shunned because of movies like House of the Dead that give horror movies a bad name. It looked good but trust me this is an awful movie. This movie is so bad is should not have even been in theaters. Their is NOTHING good about this movie, all the elements that make a good horror movie are there with the skinny dipping girl, the creepy setup, lots of guns but once they play out you feel unsatisfyied. Even the big action scene which is a good 15 minutes long isn't worth watching this movie for. DON'T BUY THIS MOVIE, YOU WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOURSELF.
Rating: Summary: Run for your life......... Review: The only scary thing about this movie is the thought of seeing it again. In the theaters mostly everybody walked out and got their money back. Its so bad, that as a special effect, they went to an arcade and video taped the screen. Honestly you'd much much more enjoy playing the video game then watching this movie. With the shots of the video game in the movie, you even see 'press start' flashing at the bottom of the screen. So hows the plot? Well a rave "sponsored by sega" at a known cursed island in the middle of nowhere where a haunted lawnmover shed is in the middle of. These kids get to the island while being chased by rent-a-cop. Then kids in halloween costumes from spencers gifts, opps i mean zombies are chasing them everywhere. They actually sound more like monkeys then zombies. If your wondering why the rave was there, why the island is full of kids, i mean zombies don't ask, i guess this movie was never meant to have a plot or answer any questions it brings up. So in the big fight screne, you get to see a boring 360degree shot of all nine characters, yes all nine. Which takes about 5 minutes and I was falling asleep on. You could not even pay me to watch this again, don't even take the DVD for free unless your getting payed to accept it. ANd watch out for the release of "alone in the dark" "dungeon siege", the worlds worst director, Uwe Boll who made this, is making those movies as well.
Rating: Summary: ouch my eyes Review: This movie is the first movie that I have actually regretted seeing. It was absolutely terrible. The movie had no plot, terrible effects and horrible acting. If you really feel compelled to see this movie just take ten dollars out of your wallet and wipe your butt with it, its about the same experience.
