Summary: Better than Lord of the Rings!
Review: Now this was action packed and entertaining, unlike that boring overlong movie Lord of the Rings. Freddy vs. Jason is a total gorefest. The battle scenes are brutal and bloody. The story that brings Freddy and Jason together worked well, which was a surprise. Who wins? Well you'll have to see the movie to find out. This new movie really makes you want to watch all the classic "Nightmare on elm st.", and "Friday the 13th" movies again. I like this movie, you will too.

Summary: The Death of The Slasher Movie
Review: Does no one know how to make a trashy movie anymore? Does anybody know how to make a scary movie anymore? And does someone know how to kill a franchise? Cause I sat through Ronny Yu's (Bride of Chucky) FREDDY VS JASON and well I saw the worst slasher movie of all time and it makes me cry.

Why? Because I love Freddy Kruger. I love the old Kruger of the original Wes Craven Masterpiece A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET (well except for part 2, but that one we can put aside as having never existed) and I even love the Freddy with the sarcastic wit who kills people while they fold maps. To watch Robert Englund (A Nightmare on Elm Street) play Freddy is a treat because he embodies a character that is really funny and sadistic as hell. Freddy Kruger is like Hannibal Lecture dead. Lecture is a sociopath who eats people. A bad guy, am I right? But you can't help rooting for him. Freddy's the same way; sure he kills people in their dreams. But he's just so lovable. Well as lovable as a burnt man can be. But to watch England in this film, it feels like he said to himself "eeh it's a paycheck" and phoned it all in. What a huge waste of some really great potential, and an underrated actor.

Most would probably say, "Come on it's a slasher movie. It's not supposed to be CITIZEN KANE. It's just supposed to be a popcorn flick. Enjoy it it's fun." FVJ is tedious on all levels. It's not fun, it's not scary, and the movie isn't even a slasher flick.

No, FVJ is an action picture. It has lots of explosions. The last 20 minutes is a fight scene. When they say FVJ. They mean Freddy fights Jason. They punch at each other; they have what can only be described as a sword fight. They jump around in the dark as they shake the camera a lot and have lots of punching and knife sound effects. You know your typical action sequence. I wanted to see blood and a gut, what I got was bad fight choreography. I was waiting for Jackie Chan to show up and speak in garbled English. This film could almost be described as Rumble at Camp Crystal Lake, or The Legend of Drunken Freddy.

As for the rest of the movie, it's so contrived. It's like the screenwriters (Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, Sharkslayer) took a tattered copy of 2000's VALENTINE and added Freddy and Jason to it.

For anyone who cares, it seems that Freddy has lost his good name on Elm Street. All the children have forgotten about him. So he hires his good buddy Jason (Ken Kirzinger, Screwed) to hack a couple of the old Elm Street children apart so his name is revived. Of course Jason goes on a wild killing spree and Freddy can't have that. So he has to stop him.

Of course there are a couple of friends who are being terrorized by both Freddy and Jason. But that plot line is son long and boring. I would prefer not to delve in cause they very long and by the end of the movie it's not important anyway. Let's just say, If I have to watch another pop star pretend they can act, I'm killing Beyonce (Well not really, I just don't want to watch pop stars try to act, that goes for Cher too.)

The 90 minutes I spent in the theater, watching as the slasher flick died a horrible and painful death all I could think of was how this movie could have been so much better. Freddy can enter dreams damnitt. What's in Jason's head? What makes him tick? I would have loved to have seen Freddy and Jason duke it out in Jason's mind. Now that would have been a trip.

I also wondered where all the cool dream sequences were. If there was one thing that made the NIGHTMARE movie cool. It was the awesome dream sequences. This film had none worth mentioning. What was there was rehashes of the first film. Little girls jumping rope, and that stupid goat. I longed for Lori (Monica Keena, Ripe), the virgin, to scream "Screw Your Pass." Now that would have been funny.

Here's my open letter to New Line studios. Listen Robert Shaye, for the sequel do yourself a favor and hire someone who knows the characters, and not someone who's read the cliff notes. Because FREDDY VS JASON as a film, was a travesty of epic proportions. I'm not asking for high art. Just for a little fun. A popcorn flick if you will.

Avoid this movie. Rent A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET instead.

Summary: Give me a break!
Review: Puh-lease. This movie wasn't even that scary. It's true that Freddy had the scarist movie, but in the real world Jason could kick his [backside]! For instance, Jason is about a whole feet taller and much stronger than Freddy and Jason doesn't give up, unlike Freddy. I think that the movie could have been more exciting if it was Jason vs. Michael Myers, or Jason vs. The Creep. GO JASON GO!!!

Summary: Superb!
Review: Freddy has a problem. Everone has forgotten about him. He needs someone to help him make them remember. Enter Jason. Freddy, disguised as Jason's mother, tells him to go to Elm Street and wreck havoc. Everything is going good for Freddy until he is strong enough to kill on his own. Unfortunatly, he can't get Jason to stop killing, so he takes matters into his own hands. He manages to inject ALOT of tranqullizers into Jason and knocks him out. Then Freddy tries to kill him in a nightmare setting. But Jason won't die. So the kids in the film manage to get Jason back to Crystal Lake ( Funny how the name changed from Forest Green back to Crystal Lake) and pull Freddy into the real world for a helluva fight. I won't give away all the details but this movie rocks. If you don't see it, Jason will come for you. Tonight!

Summary: This thing rocks!!!
Review: I just saw this movie on Divx at home. I live in Norway, and the movie hasn`t arrived here yet. That [stinks], but this movie ... rocks!! I knew it would be good. Every friday movie is good. not all Nightmare are good but the the two combined were great! i was [angry] about the decision to not use Mr. Hodder as Jason, but Kirzinger did an okey job. He kinda has the same body structure as Hodder. Offcourse there were things that Freddy says that could have been taken out, but the rest is so good that it doesn`t matter.

The direction by Ronny Yu is pretty good. I am a director myself so i know what i`m talking about. I really loved "Jason goes to hell" and had the hopes that Adam Marcus who directed that movie would direct "Freddy vs. Jason. But Ronny Yu did a
good job. I like Jason the best of the two killers, and i think he gets to much beating. Freddy could have gotten a bit more to.
Well well. Go see the movie and love it in all it`s beauty :)

Summary: The Movie Rocked
Review: I thought Freddy Vs. Jason rocked! It made me jump in spots in the movie, which was good cause I loved to be scared. The first Nightmare On Elm Street scared me and so did a bunch of the Friday the 13th movies. I really didn't like it when Jason went to space, that should of never happened. But I really enjoyed Freddy Vs. Jason a must see for all true fans! And even the little fans. It had a great plot, I loved the beginning and the end! I loved it so much when they started to fight. I just hope if they ever decided to put them in a movie again they'll enclude MICHAEL MYERS! That would be so cool to see all three of them in a movie together, cause two of them was awesome.

Summary: No Surprises here..you get what you expect.
Review: If you like horror movies then Freddy Vs. Jason is for you. It has all the right elements: a high body count, good movie monsters, a good premise and lots of blood. Who wins? Well, if you have ever seen any of the Freddy or Jason movies, then you will know how it ends. This movie is a nice diversion, it is not cheap looking nor is it as brain-dead as most of the Friday 13th films.

Summary: Fun Movie...Hope There are more to Follow!!
Review: I have been reading the reviews posted here for Freddy vs. Jason, and I have to say...IF YOU ARE GOING TO TELL THE ENDING OF A FILM IN A REVIEW DO IT ELSEWHERE!!! I went to this movie opening night and have returned for a second viewing because the first time was so much fun. That is what this movie is all about...FUN! It combines the feel of both Nightmare on Elm Street and the Friday the 13th series nicely. We get to cheer for our preferred villain and get some nice scares and action along the way. Is this a scary horror movie? Maybe not...but there are some pretty tense scenes, and some really great action sequences. But please if you have not seen the film, do not read any further reviews because some folks believe in spoiling a good time by giving away the outcome, just go out and see it. I really hope there is some kind of follow-up to this movie. These characters are too much fun to be forgotten.

Summary: The true winner
Review: I saw the movie twice now and thought it was great. Freddy v. Jason is a very entertaining movie with lots of action and is also quite comical. Jason is a machine and Freddy is the man. I can't wait for the next one where it will be a triple threat fight with the addition of Pinhead...hell yeah!

Summary: Great Movie!
Review: When I was on my way down to the movies, I was thinking, "I hope this movie is good!" We got there and sit down, started watching theatrical trailers for Scary Movie 3, the brand-new remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Jeepers Creepers 2. The movie started off with a bang, a very loud one, and ended with a bigger bang.

The battle Jason and Freddy had was something that WILL go down in horror movie history! It was awesome! Freddy cracked a lot of jokes, and Jason cracked a lot of bodies. It had everything a good horror movie should have, which is humor, gore, jumpy moments, and many sharp objects!

The setting was great, it included some psycho ward, Elm Street, Camp Crystal Lake, the woods, many peoples houses, a corn field, a school, and most importantly of all, peoples nightmares! I have went to see this movie 3 times already, and trust me, I have seen every important horror film, and this one will go down in history!
