Summary: What fans have been waiting for
Review: This movie is exactly what we have been waiting for. Shannon and Swift did an excellent job merging the two series and making the fight as fair as possible. And Ronny Yu... there's no words to describe the fabulous job he did directing. Hopefully they will be back for the sequel and find a logical reason why Ash (Evil Dead 1 and 2, Army of Darkness) will be involved (thank you New Line for deciding on FJA, the fanboy dream of the millenium).

Summary: BEST of the BEST
Review: I LOVED the movie!!! Ronny Yu, did a GREAT JOB bringing the "two" Masters of Horror together. I waited years for this and I can say I absolutly LOVED every second. I would and have recommended this film to everyone. Can't wait for number 2

I seen it 2 times and can't wait until the DVD comes out
if you didn't see it YOU HAVE to

Summary: Meh...
Review: After being pounded with countless pointless horror movies, I thought Freddy VS Jason would erase all of that. It had a certain mystique that made it seem as if it would revolutionize horror movies and make them enjoyable once again, and not just gore-a-thons. Boy, was I wrong. After the first 15 minutes of this film all my hopes are erased, and I'm treated to another gorefest, with no sense of direction. The only reason I'm giving this film 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the final showdown between Freddy and Jason, which is quite the eyecathcer.

Review: This was the best of the freddy, jason movies of all time. It was so cool. Freddy wasn't remembered by anyone on elm street. All the ones that did remember him were locked away so he resurrected jason vorhees to bring fear back to elm street. Soon jason has gotten out of hand so freddy has to send him back so in the first fight scene he fights jason in his dream and kicks his ass. Then he is brought to camp crystal lake later on so he can fight jason because the kids of elm think it is the only way to kill him. Jason kicks his ass and in the end jason walks out of the river with the freddys head because someone cut it off and freddy winks so that was a bummer that no one won. This movie was still the greatest and i can't wait for the sequel i read about called freddy vs jason vs ash. Ash is the killer in the evil dead series and he will make this movie great. My dad knows someone who works in the movie making industry so he is filling me in. I can't wait for the next movie. 2005 legends meet again!!!!!

Review: This is best Freddy film since the first one, it has stayed true to the rest of the nightmare on elm street series even thoe it has been nearly ten years since the last one was made, and it dosent have a bad plot for a Freddy film, it has lots of gore, humour and nice looking girls what more could you ask for. If your a fan of the Freddy or Jason series i recommend you should check it out.

Review: This movie kicks it up a notch on so many levels!!!I have reviewed this movie on so many sites so I'll just get to the point.Freddy Vs Jason kicks major ass on every level!!!It is funny, hilarious, creepy, terrifying, scary, and top-notch all the way!!!It did have a few annoying characters,it could have been longer, and it could have been more violent too but all in all it was tremendously satisfying!!!It scared me to death, gave me nightmares, made my heart race, and made me freaked out!!!Absolutely one of the best of 2003 and should be number 1!!!Very violent, tremendously tongue-in-cheek,and has an explosive and extremely clever and twisted ending!!!Watch out for the sequel I sure am looking forward to another!!!The actors were the best out of either series except of couse Langencamp from the Nightmares, and the heroines of the Friday films.Lori was too much of a winer at times but i still liked her she just cried to the point of me laughing. Will,Kia,and the rest did an excellent job especially the stoner Labine,Ritter, and Rowland!!!All in all a wonderful, extremely surprising, and electrifying horror thon that will keep you scared and keep you laughing!!!

Review: v saw Jason X.......why?

I never saw a Nightmare on Elm Street movie. I never saw ANOTHER Jason movie. But I saw Freddy vs Jason, only because I was interested in finding out who won, and how. When I went, I was expecting to see a scary, interesting movie. After being freaked out by a Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, I was ready for the worst. The first time I was truly scared was during a scene in the boiler room where Freddy has one of the main characters cornered, in her dream. The last time I was truly scared was during a scene in the boiler room where Freddy has one of the main characters cornered, in her dream. I was disturbed by a few of the ways that the characters were murdered, but wasn't enough to get me jumping in my seat.

I did like the idea. The plot. I only wish the screenwriters and the director tried to take advantage of the good ideas in the movie and made it better....

But throughout the film I was constantly asking myself, what is with all of this useless stuff, like profanity, the drugs, the sexually situations. Why could we not have a plain horror movies without all the add-ons. A scary movie, like The Ring, with the slasher film quality like scenes in the summer blockbuster 28 Days Later...(another film I had a problem with)

Did I hate Freddy vs Jason? The answer to that is no. I enjoyed it very much. After struggling through the first thirty minutes or so, my money was finally paid off with the last hour. When Freddy finally takes command. If the movie had a little more detailed plotline, and some more non bloody action taking place instead of all of the teen partying scenes, etc, this would have robally gained fourth star. It wouldn't have gained a fifth star because it wasn't excellant. It wouldn't even be great with all the things I mentioned above. My next stop though is to watch the orignal Freddy and Jason films. They have to be better...

To watch this movie was not torture. I have no idea what the critics were talking about, saying that it was a terrible dry film. It was good....I liked it. In the word of the 60's generation...mellow out, man.

ENJOY!

Rated R for pervasive strong horror violence/gore, gruesome images, sexuality, drug use and language. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title

Summary: BEST IN EITHER SERIES
Review: THIS MOVIE WAS GREAT. BEST IN THE FRIDAY THE 13TH SERIES AND POSSIBLY NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. FREDDY SHOWED A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR AND JUST THINKING ABOUT SOME OF THE THINGS HE DID MAKES ME LAUGH. JASON DIDN'T KEEP HIS BIG UNBEATABLE STRENGTH AGAINST FREDDY, HE GOT THE CRAP BEAT OUT OF HIM. SO FAR I'VE SEEN IT 8 TIMES.

Summary: Awesome flick BUT...........
Review: First off I have to say that I love, love, loved this movie. i went saw it twice and it was just as great each time. The writers did an excellent job of combining both universes of Freddy and Jason. You see death scenes that both embody what made each franchise so wildly popular such as, Freddy "scenes" (and by "scenes" I mean "killings") being almost surreal while Jason "scenes" are more horrific and right to the point. i loved how you get to see the two duke it out in each of their own elements like Jason being in Freddy's dream world and Freddy at Camp Crystal Lake. And if you think you'll get a clear cut winner I urge you to remember why these movies are called "franchises".
Now let's get to what I didn't like about the movie:
1)Where's Kane Hodder???
I heard one of the reasons he wasn't asked to reprise his role as Jason was because he was just too big standing next to the much smaller Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger). Which is very sad because if you've ever heard or read a Kane Hodder interview you know how much he absolutely loves playing the role of Jason, in fact he's the only actor to play Jason more than once I believe he's done it about 4 times. but as I read in an interview Kane was quite angry but he said the bottom line is "you can make a Jason movie without Kane Hodder but you can't make a Freddy movie without Robert Englund." what a class act.
2)What's the deal with the blatant Jay (from Kevin Smith movies)rip off??
If your a fan of Kevin Smith (Chasing Amy, Mallrats, Clerks, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back) then you know what i'm talking about. This guy has the almost trademark hat, he smokes the mary jane, he has a fowl mouth, he has the long hair, and he has practically the same voice as Jason Mewes (the actor who plays Jay). If he would have said "snootchie bootchies" i would have gotten up and walked right out seriously. I'm really quite surprised that Kevin Smith didn't sue for character infringment or anything with how blatant it gets.
But not counting those things it was an awesome movie, even the annoying Kelly Rowland from Destiny's Child isn't so bad [. . .]

Review: It's been talked about for many years now. I remember the conversations on the elementary school playground: "Who do ya think'd win, Freddy or Jason?" Years later we get this film that tries to show us what we've all speculated on at one time or another. The result? Really not that bad. I do have my complaints, but considering the juvenile subject matter we're dealing with here, this film turned out as good as it could turn out. Complaints? The biggest being that(once again) they mess around with Jason's mythology which is a big no-no. They expect you to believe that Jason Voorhees is afraid of water(!). Hasn't Jason hidden in the water for his victims at least three times over the course of the series? Folks, we all know that Jason isn't scared of nuthin!! Jason's been dead since Part 4, and has been functioning as a souless, zombie killing machine ever since- The guy's not afraid of doodly-squat; Especially not some water dripping from the ceiling. I don't buy into Jason dreaming either. You're also expected to believe that Jason-who has been shot, stabbed, beaten, burned, pulverized, hacked, slashed, crushed, drowned, hung and blown to smithereens-can simply be knocked out with some tranquilizers. The film also suffers from some Scream-esque teenage hipster characters and dialogue, but not too much. There's that dreaded scene which seems to be required in horror films anymore, where the characters suddenly figure out the whole diabolical plan(which no human being would ever do in reality) for no apparant reason other than to bring the viewer up to speed. This scene is usually done under the assumption that the audience is a bunch of morons and can't figure it out themselves. Good points: Ronny Yu wasn't afraid to show us in Bride Of Chucky that he doesn't shy away from gore-this flick has plenty. Certainly as much as the MPAA will allow in an R rated film these days. The showdown is done very, very well. Freddy's cut down on the comedy act and is back to his evil, menacing self that we all love. The flashback of the events leading to Jason's original drowning is very well done without tarnishing the original story. This really isn't a bad film. Check it out for a thrill and to finally answer that old playground question.
