Rating: Summary: THE ALL-TIME BEST!!!!! Review: Halloween is, was, and always will be the best.No mater how ignorant someone's mind is, Jason is a ripoff of Micheal Myers. The only difference is the story and the mask.It has little gore, but makes it up in the pyschological department.Jamie Lee Curtis also brings the movie to life!!!She is the undefeated Scream Queen forever!!!Even after 20 years, Halloween still remains scary. The theme is the best, that adds 1/2 the scare!!!Myers is the ultimate, how he just comes from nowhere, he's so quiet and theres no escape cause by the time you know he's there, it's too late. The emotionless face, all you see is the pure evil and murder in his eyes!!How many movies have an anniversary movie??Maybe a rerelease, but not a brand new movie.Long live The greatest horror movie, and horror star-Halloween and Jamie Lee Curtis(so hot!!)
Rating: Summary: The mother of all slasher flicks Review: "Halloween" is definitely the movie that triggered the whole "slasher" craze throughout the 80`s. But this film still stands as the best one, with it`s incredible eerieness and intensity. "Halloween" plot is virtually paper thin, but it`s use of camera movements, darkness and sudden jolts gets the most out of the story, as simple as it may be. Jamie Lee Curtis`s character, Laurie, is basically the main character of the film, as she and her "badder" friends babysit near each other on Halloween night. Unfortunately, there is a knife-weilding maniac lurking around, and is about to make this Halloween one that they will never forget....or live through. A truly dark, chilling and memorable film.
Rating: Summary: HALLOWEEN is the best horror movie I've ever seen! Review: HALLOWEEN started it all. I saw this movie at the age of 8. I'm 17 now and it still sends shivers down my spine. For the next few years no horror movie I've seen has been able to scare me as much as the HALLOWEEN series(except part 3 which had nothing to do with Michael Myers). If you're looking for a great scary horror movie with a really great serial killer, check out HALLOWEEN. You won't be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Cool Easter Egg Review: Feature: Hidden menu (only on widescreen side) allowing direct access to death scenes How to find it: Click skip during the Anchor Bay logo. This will forward you to the trailer. Skip past the trailer, the DVD production note and FBI warning to get to the film's first murder followed by other death scenes. Skipping through the scenes (or after watching them), you are brought to a hidden menu of a pumpkin with the following menu items (Kill 'em All!!, Sis, Doggie, Annie, Bob, Linda).
Rating: Summary: Great, scary and stunningly well acted Review: I found this film very scary but not because of any cold blooded murders but because of the sheer presence of Michael Myers and the way he is filmed you see flashes of white behind hedges and when he is murdering you always get the full effect of his mask. The music is brilliant too and very scary. The actors are very dramatic and should receive a lot of credit however Jamie Lee Curtis should receive an oscar for her stunning performance. My favourite murder would have to be that of Judith Myers when Michael was just a young boy.Overall I think it was brilliant to watch with a lot of good camera effects.
Rating: Summary: The One That Started It All!!! Review: Director John Carpenter uses Surprise, instead of buckets of blood, in the movie that set the trend for slasher films. A goody-goody babysitter, faces the death of her friends, protecting the childern shes sitting for, and the showdown vs. the maniac in the famous, haunting white mask. A boy murders his sister on Halloween night 1963, he is locked up for 15 years, but escapes on Halloween Night 1978, and returns home. The Music score sets a very eerie mood, and will make you think twice about watching this film alone in the dark!!! "You can't kill the Boogey Man!!!"
Rating: Summary: A mental patient escapes to slash young teens. Review: A great suspense flick of it's time, but contains a little too much nudity, but perfect for parties, great killer, a classic. A great sceen for the suspensefull chills is what you see when he kills his sister. You can only see through the eye holes of his mask. Michael has sleekly sly moves and doesn't hesatate for his kills. This movie was a witty example of how all the cheap new generation slasher flicks that are now hitting the theaters for the new generation of teens, but whatever anyone says, this movie will always remain a classic.
Rating: Summary: It was Great Review: It was scary. I loved it. The first time i saw it was 1996. i was really scared after seeing it. i bet you would love it if you have not seen it yet. Oh hell, just buy the damn movie and see what i mean.
Rating: Summary: It was such a scary movie, I screamed in all of the parts. Review: I really loved this movie. It was such a scary movie. I threw my popcorn into the air and screamed in all of the scary parts. I liked the part when Laurie stabbed Michael in the face with a clothes hanger. Payback for Michael. I was happy when she did that. I cheered when she stabbed him with a knife, I was happy. A good guy came to help Laurie and shot Michael six times in the stomach, Michael fell out of the window. The good guy went to look at Michael, but Michael was gone. It was a good movie, I liked it a lot.
Rating: Summary: Probably one of the scariest movies I have seen! Review: Halloween was a gruesome movie. if you don't have halloween, then don't consider yourself a horror fan! Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Pleacence played a great role in the movie. Probably the most gruesome murder is when Micheal kills Paul by hanging him on the wall with the knife. That was a good special effect. There were some creepy parts where Micheal Myers jumps out and scares you... so have FUN!
