Summary: Genuinely scary
Review: 15 years ago a 6-year-old boy murdered his older sister. Now he has escaped from the institution he has been in ever since and returns to his former home to carry out more killings.

This is quite possibly the scariest and most disturbing film I've seen. Donald Pleasance is superb as killer Michael Myers' obsessed doctor, the music is haunting and the dialogue and locations are unforgettably creepy.

The best stalk-and-slash film, one of the best horror films ever made.

Summary: Not bad!

Review: Halloween is one of John Carpenter's greatest pieces of work, (cough*Christine*cough). It's a smart and scary rollercoaster that will leave you scared stiff and wanting more. A must-see for those who've not seen it YET!

Summary: GOOD DVD, BAD DVD
Review: Lemme just say the Extended version transfer is hideous and the picture is unwatchable. The sound is in Mono too and it's rather poor.

But the Theatrical Version has a nice, clear and clean picture and the new Dolby 5.1 soundtrack rocks. The crisp transfer compliments Dean Cundey's superb widescreen photography respectfully. This is a great treatment of a classic movie and kudos to Anchor Bay for the ace DVD.

The DVD is in Dolby 5.1 (Mono for Disc 2) and is anamorphically enhanced at 2.35:1.

Summary: AWESOME!!!!
Review: This remake is an excellent piece of work that truly does justice to the movie's hallowed name. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to collect timeless classics. The additional features (i.e., Halloween Unmasked documentary, trailers, still photographs) were a nice bonus, as well!

Summary: Halloween a classic horror movie( a must see)
Review: This movie was kind of like Nightmare on elm street but not. It had a killer that was like killing people. In the end he killed almost everyone but then he dies. It was a scary movie!! Not like that Blair Witch Project swish swash!

Summary: Halloween: The Ultimate Edition
Review: The new Halloween Limited Edition DVD is incredible! Anchor Bay has outdone themselves with this release. Superb looking transfer and an absorbing 5.1 surround mix makes this classic more frightening than ever! Carpenter's best film, along with "The Thing".

Summary: Great special edition
Review: All right, I know that I'll probably take a lot of heat for giving "Night of the Living Dead: 30th Anniversary Edition" 5 stars, and after seeing the new "epilogue" I'm starting to wonder why myself. But this DVD I can unhestitantly give the 5 star approval. This is the only horror film starring teenage characters that I can actually stand, and I say this as a 16 year old. A brief description of the plot would not lead you to believe this film is different from "Friday the 13th", but it is something great, for mainly one reason: John Carpenter. The absence of a commentary from him is the only fault in this release. What we do have is an excellent documentary, a very elaborate collection of promotional items and behind the scenes info, and an utterly incredible transfer and soundtrack. I can now safely chuck out my widescreen VHS copy, as this is as good as "Halloween" gets. I only wish that we'd had Donald Pleasence for the twentieth anniversary, as well as for H20. Hopefully Anchor Bay will put together a special edition for "Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers", so that we fans can see the Producer's Cut (which from what I've heard is a vast improvement over the horribly butchered and gored-up theatrical version) which preserves the last performance of Dr. Loomis himself.

Summary: Terrific, This the best version of Halloween Ever
Review: Halloween is one of the greatest films of all time. A must see for any type of movie fan. i recently bought this edition because i am also a very big fan and i must say that it is superb. The picture and sound are crystal clear and the extras such as the trailers and radio spots are awsome. It also has a really cool introductory computer animation. The documentory is also very well done with terrific editing and a lot of information about the film. This edition is a must buy for any horror fan. i strongly suggest you order it soon because with it limited to only 30,000 units it wont be around for much longer.
