Rating: Summary: Not as good as Halloween, but still spooky and fun Review: Halloween 2 certainly isn't as good as the original Halloween, but it definitely has attributes: great cinematography, great music that builds on the original's score, a creepy opening sequence, one great chase scene with Michael and Jamie Lee, and a key plot twist that provides a crucial reason for Michael's murderous behavior. This edition is the best and clearest one yet, and it preserves all of the spooky widescreen image.
Rating: Summary: I love horror movies Review: i love horroe movies but halloween and candyman and all the other halloween movies r grate. I wish joseph mazzello would of been in halloween
Rating: Summary: Not Bad Review: The nightmare isnt over. And no it isnt. This very bloody sequel isnt a bad movie, but its starting to turn into a slasher fest already. I did like the idea of it continuing from part 1. Great to see this movie in Widescreen though..
Rating: Summary: HALLOWEEN II was just as scary as HALLOWEEN. Review: Although HALLOWEEN II wasn't as scary as HALLOWEEN, it still delivers plenty of scares and suspense. Many people under rate this movie, but I think that's because since we are already introduced to Michael Myers in HALLOWEEN, there really isn't much mystery to HALLOWEEN II. But, this movie is still a must have for fans of the HALLOWEEN series. It does well in following up to the original.
Rating: Summary: Halloween and Halloween 2. Review: Those movies are one of the best selling videos ever too hit on tape and screen. Halloween is the most popular ones. Halloween starring Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) and Doctor Loomis (Dolnald Pleasence) were the main characters besides Michael Myers. You all thing he's the boogey man, but only he is the Devil who has never spoken a word waiting for Halloween to go and kill his sister, Doctor Loomis said that Michael Myers has the blackiest eyes the devils eyes. Then Halloween two came to the series. Starring Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) start with the continueing of part one where he tries to kill his sister in the hospital.
Rating: Summary: Laurie is sent to the hospital, but guess who won't give up. Review: Michael won't give up until she is dead. A great horror flick with a part that resembles Star Wars episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back. Except Laurie finds out that Michael is her brother!!! But it isn't over till its over and carries from where the first movie left us. What I thought was cool about this movie was the sequel told us what happened to the characters afterwords unike the original, which left us with Laurie and Dr. Loomis throughing Michael out a window, but of course, no matter how many times you kill them, in the movies, they always get right back up. Even though the movie was great, it doesn't compare to the original.
Rating: Summary: Scary Sequel is ALMOST as good as original... Review: Part "2" picks up exactly where "1" finished, and continues the scary story of Michael Myers and his sister...The DVD from Goodtimes video is colorful, but transfered quite dark, with a few artifacts. It is nice to finally hear a rematered Dolby Surround soundtrack, including Carpenter's eerie electronic score. Great fun for Horror fans!!!
Rating: Summary: Not as good as the original, but very creepy and disturbing. Review: While much maligned for it's excessive gore and high body count, "Halloween II" still freaks me and everyone I watch it with out because of it's setting, a hospital Jamie Lee Curtis is taken to following her encounter with Michael Myers in the first film, and some of the most unique movie murders ever. From dark maintenence closets to gloomy hospital hallways, therapy chambers, and surgery rooms, Michael proceeds to kill everyone who gets in his way as he closes in on Curtis, using imaginative tools such as syringe needles, boiling hydrotherapy tubs, I.V. tubes, and of course, a scalpel. This is also the movie that reveals Laurie's (Curtis) link to the killer, and introduces the use of the "Mr. Sandman" theme featured in last years hit sequel "H20". You'll never feel the same in a hospital at night again, and I feel this movie belongs in any horror fan's collection.
Rating: Summary: Underrated sequal looks and sounds great on DVD. Review: Halloween II picks up exactly were the original leaves off. If you are a fan of gory horror movies where plot isn't everything, then I believe you will have a good time watching this movie. Only good sequal to the original other than H2O. Only dissapointment on DVD is that the only added bonus are a few paragraphs of production notes, there is no theatrical trailer included. The sound and picture quality (and low price) make it a worthwhile buy for any fan of the film. In letterbox format for the first time on video.
Rating: Summary: ONE OF THE MOST UNDERATED SEQUALS-EVER! Review: Any of the so-called "professional" movie critics trash this film most often because of the gore level and empty characters it contains. I personally feel that it is a great film in terms of horror. I also think that it is the only good sequal to the original other than H20. If you love the first Halloween because it is a great horror movie and not because of the character developement and artistic style the critics seem to love, I think it is a safe bet you'll enjoy Halloween II.
