Summary: This better be the FINAL CUT of the Urban Legend story!
Review: ....MY REVIEW: "A tiring bore of suspense horror! The sequel never gives up! It is so odd that they make a sequel to a great original, but make the sequel ruin a perfect good 'could've been' trilogy! I was getting tired with this film because it had nothing to do with the first film. The murders, also, except for two, never refer to Urban Legends either! The only neat thing about this movie is that you actually get to see the Kidney Heist, which wasn't performed at the end of the original. In the first film, you see Brenda, the killer of the original, at the end of the movie telling her friends about how the murders of Pendleton really go- so you think she'll return for the sequel, but she doesn't until the last MINUTE of the movie! She has no big part or anything! The acting was okay, but not great. The story was clumsy and stupid! This movie should've never been a sequel to the URBAN LEGEND film. So I just wanna end at saying- "FINAL CUT IS A BORING RIDE OF NOTHING! IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ORIGINAL AND NEVER GIVES UP "TRYING" TO BE A GOOD SUSPENSE FLICK, WHEN IT REALLY IS JUST CHEAP MOVIEMAKING NONSENSE!" MJV & the Movies.

Summary: Lousy, Crappy, and Stupid
Review: This is easily one of the worst films ever made. John Ottman's bogus entry into the slasher genere is laughable. This film isn't scary, nor does it even come close. The gore isn't even half as bad as many people say it is. There was only two scenes where the gore was somewhat high, and still, it wasn't even that bad, becuase it's really fake and only is on screen for about 3 seconds. The first UL was an ok movie, with some good suspense scenes. This UL basically says "WE DON'T NEED NO STINKIN SUSPENSE!!!!" and you're left with laughably stupid death scenes that aren't scary. Is it just me, or did the killer look so stupid, it was unbelieved? Not once in any horror film have I sceen has there been a killer that looked so stupid, then in this one, a shmuck in a fencing mask. Even in the first UL, the killer had a somewhat scary appearance. This one, nope, he isn't scary. Another thing, In a slasher movie, aren't the deaths supposed to be slashings? Well, why don't you tell that to the screenwriters. There's only one slashing in this film, and you can barely see it happening due to shoddy direction. As for the other death scenes, they include a deranged window cil, a camera lens with a vengence , two electrocutions (also hampered by shoddy directing), and a hanging. I didn't care less about what was actually happening in the movie, since it made no sense at all. So, I found myself waiting for death scenes, and since most were drab, that didn't save the movie. Also, this film blatantly rips off the blair witch project. It's hilarious. And the killer's motive is laughable. I laughed my way through the pitiful finale. "Those who can't do, Teach!!!" LOL!!!!!! A rotten screenplay, bad acting, awful directing, need I say more? This film blows, don't waste your time

Summary: Blood splat-horror movie buffs will love it!
Review: URBAN LEGENDS:Final Cut lacks any suspense, but has its moments like SCREAM 3, since its a movie taken place in a movie set! I would recommend the original more because it is a mix of suspense and horror genre and it's great if you like to scream and be scared! The plot takes place at a college and Jennifer Morrison (Stir of Echoes) stars as Amy Mayfield who yearns for the Hitchcock award so she must make an excellent film to be awarded, but someone will just die for it more than she! Reese (Loretta Devine) from the original stars as a security guard as she did in the first one, where she acts like Coffee, her favorite movie cop! Joseph Lawerence (TV's Brotherly Love) stars as a wealthy student who seems to be Amy's agent on set and turns out to be a jerk that is always on his cell! Jessica Cauffiel (Valentine) stars as a horrible wannabe actress who isn't actually the best scream-queen in Amy's film that is based on urban legends! Well rent it or buy it and you'll probably enjoy it!

Summary: sequel that has little to do with the first movie!
Review: This sequl has very little to do with the first movie! The only person from the first movie is the security guard. The plot has many holes it. This movie is Ok ,maybe it's better with commentary from the director? Watch this movie if you horror/slasher movies with little or no plot. This movie is a mainsteream movie so odd's you have seen it done before!! Urban Legands:Final Cut also rips off from the Scream movies in the types of situations the characters get killed!! The ending has the first killer as a nurse in a hospitla talking to this killer of this movie! The ending also has music from "Afred Hitchcock Presents" in the end credit? Could'nt they come up with some orginal music for this movie and the end credits?

Review: I didn't know if I'd like this one. But, to my surprise it turned out to be a heak of a ride! The storyline was ok, the acting was fine, but the murder scenes are lame. But that doesn't ruin the film or my rating. The story was good. The plot of the story is that a film student Amy Mayfeild [Jennifer Morrison] is away at Alpine University, a fil for young aspiring directors/film makers. It's that time of year to make the thesis films, and for the Hitchcock Award, which comes with $15,000 and a chance to make a film. Everyone is excited, so is Amy. But, as she starts production on her film, her cast and crew start to die, all from a killer killing people based on Urban Legends, the plot of Amy's film. This is made to seem that Amy is killing those people. Rent or buy the film, you wont be mad!! DVD FEATURES: The DVD has 7 deleted scenes [they are deleted because no one would have died until 25 minutes had passed], and a gag reel which has out takes, and bloopers. There are theatrical trailers, wide screen, and full screen versions, and more.

Summary: A great horror movie!
Review: When I first heard of a sequel to the movie URBAN LEGEND I was really happy because I just loved it. But then I was like: "Is this movie going to live up to the first?". Well, thank god it lives up to the fisrt. And it's even better. I loved everything about URBAN LEGENDS: FINAL CUT. I enjoyed every moment of it. I liked the cast, Jennifer Morrison was great as Amy, Jessica Cauffiel, Matthew Davis and Loretta Devine were also cool, I liked the direction of John Ottman, I liked the location, I LOVED the death scenes. There's one scene that is just one of the best scenes I've ever seen in a horror movie. I bought the movie, and there are some friends who come and say: "I can't wait to see this! How did I lose it in theathers?", but there are also those who say: "Urban Legend 2? Is it any good?". I just put the movie and let they see. After they see, they're like "Are there any plans for an "URBAN LEGEND 3"? Please, tell me that there are plans for an URBAN LEGEND 3!" That's what I hope, but for now, enjoy this great movie which includes some great special features. What you waiting for? Go see this movie now!

Summary: WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?
Review: There are to many negative things to say about this movie that I have no idea where to begin. For Gods Sake this movie seriously gives a bad name to Horror. There was absolutely nothing scary about this piece of garbage. First of all, I have to agree with others and say that people were just ripping of Scream in some way when they made this, but unfortunately just made the movie 100 times worse. The plot, acting, and especially killings in this movie [was not good]! I encourage all others out there to save your money from buying this movie and even renting it. As someone has already suggested, rent or buy the first Halloween movie if you want to be introduced to a good slasher.

Summary: Enjoyable slasher fare with multiple flaws
Review: If you're expecting to really enjoy Urban Legends: Final Cut, you think it's going to be a fantastic sequel to an okay film, then think again. This movie is only a one-off experience, and it depends on you're attitude to slasher films if you're going to enjoy it. The film, for me, was highly entertaining and I was chilled to the bone in the death sequences. I enjoyed the film until the end,...even when it wasnt very good.... The first half an hour seem brilliant, the middle seems very average, but the end is just terrible, although it contains a witty gun sequence. Also, the film faulted because it only used one urban legend to ...get rid of... a victim, which disappointed many people. Aside all those flaws and you have a fun slasher fare that uses the film-in-a-film idea with frequent effectiveness, even though some people say the plot-line of film-in-a-film has been done to death. I also liked the way you didn't know if you were watching a real killer or an actor in Amy's - the main character - movie. It was really quite intriguing. In conclusion, Urban Legends: Final Cut strongly held my interest, even if at times, it's is cheesy, cardboard hard and typical.

Review: It's not everyday that we get an original horror movie with an intelligent plot, likeable characters, a traffic-stopping cast and chills beyond our imagination. But do you think "Urban Legends: Final Cut" is one of them? Oh, no. The film, being a sequel to the first film, is the latest in a long, long, long, long line of sequels which do no justice to the predecessor, and not only that, but it copies directly off of "Scream 2" and "3," just like "Urban Legend" had the look and feel of a "Scream" wannabe. Do the producers of these movies sit around in a room and actually think this stuff is going to appeal to anyone with the least bit of intelligence and common sense? Do they think that our lives are so jaded by originality that they must inject us with banal characters, a washed up storyline, and a mess of total stupidity? Hollywood hates us! The movie is such a piece of undeniable trash that its story is just a pain to even look back on. We are introduced to select students of Alpine University, which is a renowned film school where, every year, one person receives the Hitchcock Award for the best thesis film. This sparks the attention of dithy documentarian Amy Mayfield, who jumps into the project after hearing a story from Reese, the new campus security guard and the sole returning character from the first film. She writes her script, which, wouldn't you know it, is about tall tales known as urban legends, and begins gathering up her cast and crew. She has some competition, though: Toby is filming a horror thriller that takes place on an airplane (shades of "Final Destination," maybe?), and his cast and crew are much more dilligent. Others include Travis, whose film "The Gods of Men" is in the finishing stages, and Graham, whose the son of a Hollywood mogul. And this is where our killings take place, leaving us with dead bodies, useless plot twists, and a plot that borrows all it can from just about every horror franchise it can get its hands on. The movie even goes so far as to insult its own name, because its killings, with the exception of one, are not even considered urban legends in reality. Perhaps the writers just ran out of creativity, or the legends that were left weren't bloody and stupid enough for the demographic group this film aims itself at. And if there ever was a movie that copycats, this is it. The whole actors-involved-in-a-film-getting-killed-according-to-the-script thing has been done already, much better in "Scream 3," but "UL:FC" doesn't seem to care. It treats the material as if its new and fresh, which leaves us with a wasted six dollars for a movie that we could've rented already. And the ending is so blatantly reminiscent of the on-stage showdown in "Scream 2," which places our killer and prey on the set of some movie where they have access to all sorts of materials where they can prolong the inevitable ending in which the real killer will meet his demise. And don't even start criticizing me about giving away the ending: the plot's sky-high predictability factor will not only give away the identity of the killer, but will leave you with no surprises. The actors are your typical ensemble of pseudo-teenage college kids who have nothing better to do than run around and corner themselves into fatal situations than to actually use their heads. Jennifer Morrison plays Amy, who never comes off as being more than the average run-of-the-mill clueless college groupie, as does the rest of the cast composed mostly of unknowns who probably think that this movie will lead them to new heights of fame (what a mislead). It's easy to see why Joey Lawrence, of TV's "Blossom," billed himself as "Joseph." Be sure to look out for Rebecca Gayheart in a surprise cameo that is the cheese atop the cracker. There's something to be said about movies like this, movies that have absolutely no creativity and revel in that fact, but my mother taught me never to use words of that nature. In short, "Urban Legends: Final Cut" is yet another example of Hollywood wasting our money by giving us nothing new and thinking we'll be satisfied. If you must be scared, then be scared of the fact that, like it or not, this is the future of horror movies, and we're stuck with it.

Review: Well despite all of the negative reviews I think that this movie succeded I mean it did better at the box office than Book Of Shadows Blair Witch 2 and that film was more popular than this one so it pretty much tells you that people liked it enough to see the freaken thing than a film many thaught was better meaning BW2. Anyway at the begining of the film you would surely think that the acting is the worst you've ever seen, but then it turns into the real thing.Anyway if you liked the first one you would probably like this one. See it.Pluss a good score is added to it but not by Christopher Young.
