Summary: A great film to watch on Halloween night.
Review: I Know What You Did Last Summer is definatly a classic horror flick.The movie is about four friends who run over a man and dump his body in the river so they won't get arrested.One year later they fnd out they didn't really kill this man and he is still alive and wanting to kill the people who ran him over.The movie really is actually very suspencful,unlike some post-Scream slasher films.The movie has good performances from Jennifer Love,Sarah Michelle,Ryan Phillippe,and Freddie Prinze Jr.Kevin Williamson is a genious in the horror film genre.A must see for everyone who loves horror flicks.

Summary: They are just in it for the money!
Review: Don't you people get it who love this movie these actors really have no acting skills they are just looking for their paycheck. And if you think that this movie is scary What kind of a wimp are you! I think of more of it as a big joke its nothing more than a publicity stunt for overrated people like Jennifer love Hewitt and Sarah Michelle Gellar to get their faces on camera. In todays days they can not pull off a scary movie like they did years ago movies are just plain dumb like this. What a stupit movie full of nothing but immature teens acting like fools and poor pitiful acting. Very lame movie.

Summary: Annoying pre-teen horror fodder
Review: Words can't even describe how much I loathe this sluggish, poorly written, horribly acted, insult to horror. Following the success of Scream, everyone and their mothers decided to jump on this teen horror trend bandwagon. You had your Urban Legends, Wishmasters, but nothing even comes close to being as foolish and uninteresting as this movie. Looking at the title alone, you can tell it stinks. Jennifer Love Hewitt plays a (very whiny and overexaggerating) girl who is haunted by a fisherman who she and her friends supposedly ran over last year.... Just one example of horrible writing. You will be insulted by this movie. All the people who participated in this movie should be ashamed. Definetly the worst "horror" movie made in the 90's.

Summary: Not Bad.
Review: I rented this movie expecting it to be another teen-horror movie. But it wasn't that at all. This movie was very well thought out and the storyline was great, and kept you in suspense throughout the whole film.I know what you did last summer is about a few teen-age kids who run over and kill a man walking down the street. One year later all of them start recieving warning notes, and photo's with the words I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER printed on them. Soon people start getting killed and in danger, I loved the ending for this movie, it was suspenseful and thrilling, you won't be dissapointed if you watch this movie, I know I wasn't.

Summary: The Ultimate Horror Movie!
Review: What a great plot this movie had........with so much suspense and the killer being scary and creepy, this movie made me want to keep watching.....it was so intense that I started getting shivers.....this movie was well crafted and I liked the stars in the movie....It was sad to see Sarah Michelle Gellar die but at least I got to see most of her because I love her! This is one of my favorite horror movies of all time. It's not one of those horror flicks where people are offed by a serial killer....this movie has a different plot which makes it more interesting and fun to watch....I'll surely always like this movie

Summary: Not Your Typical Teen Slasher Flick
Review: First things first--this ain't "Scream". Director Jim Gillespie takes a rather uninspired Kevin Williamson script and creates an old fashioned suspense movie with plenty of thrills and chills with minimal gore. Shot with superb pacing and high production values, "Summer" is the scary movie for people who don't like horror films. Part of the success of this film is owed to the young cast, especially Ryan Phillippe as the intense jock, and Love Hewitt as the main character, Julie. Both do a good job in making a potentially silly premise more believable. As a DVD, "Summer" is an above average disc on nearly all counts. Fine digital audio and video are supported by both wide and fullscreen formats, enlightening and interesting director's commentary, and a theatrical trailer. Overall, this is a solid movie and DVD package. Recommended.

Summary: A CLASSIC!!!
Review: Firstly I Personally really don't understand why some people thought this film was rubbish. The people that thought this are obviously into watching their typical teen slasher movies where the teens have ..., drink all night, smoke ..., party all night and just act stupid. This film was totally different which is why some people didn't like it!! I also loved scream but come on now...how often do u hear on the news or read in the newspaper of a killer who wears a mask? It's not realsitic! I know what you did last summer captures what people may do in an event of running someone over...1. Panic 2. Confused 3. Anger. The film was also different because instead of having the same old tradition of having 20 odd stars in it the film only had FOUR people as the main leads which the film was easily able to capture on throughout. The film has a totally NEW and DIFFERENT story to any other teen slasher I've EVER seen because so far they've all been about a killer on the loose or a killer terorrising everyone (Jason, Freddy, Urban legend, Scream 1, 2, 3, Halloween movies etc), I had fun watching something new and fresh. The scene which everyone knows and talks about is the onewhich I LOVE 2 callaCLASSIC SCENE" which I think will be stuck in everyone's mind,even the people who didn't like it. This ofcourse is Sarah Michelle Gellars brilliant scene which startsfrom when she's in the police car to where she gets killed. I think the whole cast was brilliant and deserve a big round of applause. Freddie Prinze Jr was a little weak but it was still really well performed. The direction was fantastic especially the open sequence with the sea going towards the cliffs showing the road in which the accident later takes place on. The music was really good too, very chilling music. The only flaw on the DVD was that there wasn't enough stuff on it. Just a directors commentary which wasn't that entertaining to be honest and a trailer. Watch this movie WITHOUT comparing it to other films otherwise you won't enjoy it! Jahangeer

Review: I thought this was an excellent movie. I read the book, but it really didn't have a lot in common with the movie. This is a must see for any teen horror fan.

Summary: A very well made piece of crap
Review: Real horror fans: don't waste your time! I've seen this in like a million reviews. Do you seriously think that their target audience were people who liked the excorcist and the nightmare on elm street? No people, that's why there are different genres of horror. The Excorsist is refered to as a psychological thriller. This movie, a teen slasher. Even though both are categorized as horror movies, they are definitley meant for different people. So if you are booing this movie and saying how stupid it is, then take a nice long look at yourself and ask, "If I am fourty, and I like horror movies that were around when I was a kid, am I going to like a movie that my kids watch?". I sure hope not. If you are over thirty, I can almost guarentee that you'll hate this movie. If you are twenty and under and are not a die hard horror fan, I would give it a try. This movie, however is DEFINITLEY not as good as the book. In the book they run over a little kid, but in the movie they run over a mean guy. WHY would they change it from a kid to a mean guy? That takes away a whole lot of the guilt the kids felt in the book. Some changes, such as the man with a hook (which I do have to admit was a really big stretch from the book) were for the better, but there were plenty of bad changes too. If you liked the book that definitley does not imply that you'll like the movie, and likewise goes for if you liked the movie. This movie wasn't scary, it wasn't heart pounding, it wasn't funny (when Helen says to Elsa, "Oh, a twit with a wit, I died laughing, not because I thought it was a good insult, I think it was the most stupid thing said in a horror movie) but its still not bad to watch. The ending isn't that predictable, and the actors were actually pretty good, and this was the first movie I had seen any of them in, I'm not a Buffy fan or anything. This movie isn't a must see, it isn't anything special, it all depends on what kind of person you are.

Summary: I Know What You Did Last Summer
Review: I Know What You Did Last Summer is a sleek, stylish, and inventive horror flick. Released one year after Scream, I Know, written by Scream writer Kevin Williamson took the teen slasher genre to a sort of new dimension. Quite possibly as good as Scream, and having an excellent sequel, the "I Know..." series has also made it's mark in horror film history. The film stars Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Geller, Ryan Phillippe, and Freddie Prinze Jr. as four teens who commit a horrible act one fourth of July evening. Good acting, intense chase scenes, and an original story all add up to something truly memorable. On Fourth of July, four teens go joyriding when they accidentally hit someone with their car. Assuming that he's dead, they decide to dump the body in the river and try to forget about it. One year later, Julie (Love Hewitt) gets a letter that says: I Know What You Did Last Summer!. She tells her friends Helen (Geller,) Barry (Phillippe,) and Ray (Prinze Jr.) who were also there that night about the note. Julie decides to find out who the person who sends the note was. One day later, someone starts to attack Barry and Helen. Julie seems to think that the person they killed is someone named David Egan who committed suicide that night because his fiance was killed one year earlier. Later on, Julie finds out that it isn't Egan who they killed, but in fact, David's fiance's father, a local fisherman named Ben Willis,who is still alive........ Overall Grade: A+ (10+++)
