Rating: Summary: OKAY,ITS GOOD! Review: Lots of my friend told me to stay away from this movie. They said it was the worst Horror movie.YEAH RIGHT!Okay the movie can have its stupid parts but this is okay! After Nancy moves out of her old house, there is a new kid on Elm.Street and Freddy must pay a visit.Freddy starts haunting the teenager and gets inside his body. Now the boy's friends must survive the night from the man himself FREDDY!The best scene is the Pool party."YOU ARE ALL MY CHILDREN NOW!" and"HELP YOURSELF F--KER"are my favorite lines.
Rating: Summary: The best of the series Review: Oh my god I can't believe how many people don't get this movie. It is miles above the others, even the first. I guess people don't get it because alot of the horror is conceptual and creepy, rather than gory and shocking like the other films. The story is analogous to the high school experiences of many young boys- inner torment, depression, isolation. Granted, this isn't Shakespear, but it is still the best in the series.
Rating: Summary: HELP YOUR SELF F@#KER! Review: I am a movie buff and i have like 3,000 movies.I have all of the nightmares. This is the third best.Freddy is still dark and scary. It has good acting and is pretty gory for a nightmare film. Also look into nightmare 1 and 3 the first 3 are the best. My favorite line in the movie is "help yourself ..."!you will see that nasty part in my favorite seen the pool party.
Rating: Summary: [Stunk]!!! Review: ...out of all of the nightmare movies this is the worst one it's so stupid.
Rating: Summary: It's really not that bad.... Review: Ah yes, part two. Not many people like this one because of the simple fact that it doesn't hold the original plot very well. Granted, part two's story line does stray, but there is something about it that is still good: Freddy is still dark, creepy, and pretty darn scary. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy the others in the series. But I do like a horror movie to at least be slightly scary. If the vilan is crackin' jokes left and right, it's not very scary. So kudos to the dark and scary Freddy!!
Rating: Summary: Not my favorite, but it has the BEST horror death! Review: In general, this is by far, not my favorite horror film (actually, I don't watch horror films anymore). However, the very best scene in any horror film is in this one: the murder of Coach Schneider in the shower! It was both hysterical and gruesome at the same time; I LOVE that scene! I'm surprised that not many other horror fans comment on that scene. It is SO COOL! I also thought that a character like Schneider was very creative for a horror film.
Rating: Summary: Just An Inch Worse Than The First. Still A Must See!!!! Review: Now, first, before I type my review, lets get this straight, this film, quite enjoyable, really gets 4 1/2 stars This film picks up precisely 5 years after the original "A Nightmare On Elm Street" and is very close to being as good as the original!!! Jesse Walsh (Mark Patton) is a geeky nerd who has moved to a new house on Elm Street, the very same house that Nancy Thompson (Heather Langenkamp of A Nightmare On Elm Street, A Nightmare On Elm Street 3 Dream Warriors, and Wes Craven's New Nightmare) once lived in, and once battled demon Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund). But, shortley after Jesse moves into the house, he begins to feel strange, and on occasions he does strange things. He is also having dreams of Freddy, but he does not understand them. Freddy is telling him "Kill For Me" and Jesse is frightened. He asks his new girlfriend, Lisa (Kim Myers) for help. Yet Lisa believes that Jesse is picking up some psychic signals. Meanwhile, at home,Jesse's parents (Hope Lange and Clu Gulager) believe he's on drugs. But, what Jesse does not know is that Freddy is getting inside him and controlling his actions..... This one is usually credited as the worst of the series, but I must disagree. This one, I will admit, has very little character development, but Freddy Krueger is still a horrible disfiqured demon, and the makeup effects are terrific, the best of the series. Freddy is so slimy, and grotesque!!! Another good thing here is acting. I know that most people say this one has laughable acting, not true. Mark Patton plays Jesse very realistically, and you feel bad for him. Kim Myers is excellent as Lisa, who won't except that Jesse may be turning into a psychopath, and keeps her love for him true. Jack Sholder directed this entry with good style, and builds some great suspense scenes and some very good, fast paced scenes. This DVD includes both a 1:85:1 widescreen ratio giving the view seen in theatres, and a 1:66:1 standard version to fit your screen. There are production notes and a "Jump To A Nightmare" scene navigation. If you want more information or behind the scenes footage, get the box set and watch the eighth disk (The Nightmare Series Encyclopedia). I think this one is a great entry, just a tad behind the first. Buy it!!!! It's worth it!!! 4 1/2 Stars!!!
Rating: Summary: Not A Very Good Sequel! Review: This isn't the best sequel, that's for sure. But Part 2 is better than Part 5. This is going to be a short review because I don't know how to describe. All I can suggest is, stick with the first one, instead.
