Rating: Summary: I think I saw this movie, it was called, "Scream." Review: Good idea but, basically, a copycat of "Scream." including the killer saying "you're gonna die tonight" over the phone with a distorted voice. The killer's motive is redicilous and pointless. The cliche that the key suspect is found in the back of a car, and the killer is revealed at the very end, is too cliche. Only thing good about the film is the score. Want a good scary movie, rent "Scream" and especially, "When A Stranger Calls Back."
Rating: Summary: Silly and "overpredictable" Review: Sill, silly movie. Which would be fun if it weren't so predictable. I knew the killer less than FIFTEEN MINUTES after the opening, and this is one of those films where you're supposed to learn who the killer is only in the very end. Even Robert Englund cannot save this movie with others acting so bad. And speaking of bad actors: who is that character killed in the very beginning, the one driving the car in the rain? She has to be the worst "actress" I have ever seen. She can't do ANYTHING, she can't speak, she can't sing, she can't walk, and she most certainly couldn't act even if she took 1000 acting classes. If you think you've seen a bad, wooden actress, take a look at this one... Apart from the quite good, ambient score, there is one good thing about this movie (probably especially for a non-American viewer :) - you learn a good deal about nice urban legends.
Rating: Summary: RIDICULOUS !!!! Review: GOd, what a bad "horror" movie. It has all the cliches, a ridiculous "climax", bad actors all over the place, a normal female killer that has the strength of a man - a totally deceiving ending .. Horrible. I hope they don't make a sequel to this garbage.
Rating: Summary: Horribly predictable Review: Silly, silly movie. Which would be a lot of fun if it weren't so predictable. I knew the killer less than FIFTEEN MINUTES after the opening! And this is one of those films where you're supposed to learn who the killer is only in the very end. Even Robert Englund himself can barely save this movie with others acting so bad. And speaking of bad actors: who is that ugly girl killed in the very beginning, the one driving the car in the rain? She has to be the worst "actress" I have ever seen. She can't do ANYTHING, she can't speak, she can't sing, she can't walk, and she most certainly couldn't act even if she took 1000 acting classes. If you think you've seen a bad, wooden actress, take a look at this one... Apart from the quite good, ambient score, there is one good thing about this movie (probably especially for a non-American viewer :) - you learn a good deal about nice urban legends. The movie actually inspired me to hunt for those on the Net and then write an article on them - for this I'm thankful. :)
Rating: Summary: Scream again Review: This movie was so un-scary that the only reason it is a 'horror' film is the dishonor it gave to the name Jamie Blanks. All the horror scene did for me was give me a roaring migrane with all that squalking and squeaking.
Rating: Summary: Did You Hear the One About the Dog in the Microwave? Review: Although taking its cue from just about every teeny horror/slasher film ever made (with a feeling more of theft than homage) Urban Legend is still a damn good horror film. The acting was so/so, but was made up for by sheer viciousness in the death scene department. A New England college with a covered up history of violence, murders based on urban legends, and some really hot girls can be a really fun way to kill two hours on a dark and stormy night(I'd apologize for that, but then I'd be implying that I had a conscience when it comes to overused horror cliches, when much of this movie is just that). The killer isn't revealed until the end, there is diversity galore when it comes to manner of death for those poor unfortunate souls. Such as hanging, hacking (axe), pop rocks and draino, and so much more! You'll get a kick out of it, but then again who wouldn't dangling from a tree with a rope around their neck? Perfect get-together viewing for Horror fans who like small stories and nice vicious ways of meeting one's demise. Check out Brad "Chucky" Douriff as the gas station attendant with a speech impediment and Robert "Freddy Kreuger" Englund as the folklore professor! Did you hear about the one about the dog in the microwave?
Rating: Summary: Hmm...yes...very...um...it's just absolute rubbish Review: I can't understand why people like this? It is so boring, it is one of the most unscary movies I've ever seen. Winnie the pooh is scarier then this is and slightly more gory...winnie the pooh also has a better story line, better script, better acting and IS JUST BETTER! So what I'm saying is this is predictable, boring dumb slasher rubbish coming from hollywood mainstream so what did we expect? And for the people that liked this...well what can I say...YOU KNOW NOTHING!
Rating: Summary: URBAN LEGEND...I LOVED THE OPENING SCENE Review: THE OPENING SCENE KICKS A$$, BUT THE REST OF THE MOVIE COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. STILL NOT A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME.
Rating: Summary: scary movie!!!!!! Review: Ok, first I wanna start out by saying that I'm gonna say the things I didn't like firt, but I did really like this movie. Ok, when I watch a scary movie I like to be able to say at the end: "you would've never known who it was!". but with this movie the killer was one of the people I suspected the whole time, the only time I doubted it was the pool scene. Then also, when the killer falls out of a four story up window back to the pavement, you'd think they'd be dead right? but two minutes later they show up in the back of the car and try to slice natalie's head off, THEN, as if that wasn't enough they fall off a bridge (even higher then four stories), and you see the body lying there. But you find out in the next scene, they never found the body, then, there the killer is once again. Some how that really bugged me. Also Joshua Jackson dying and the little dog getting microwaved really depressed me. But the movie WAS good. It kepted you on your toes the whole time and the beginning scene where you thought the gas station guy was the one trying to kill her, was really good. Also, the plot about why the killer was killing really rocked too. So basically I say see the movie. Even if you don't like blood and gore cuz I don't but I saw it anyway.
Rating: Summary: Great Review: This is the best movie I ever seen. The killer can't be id and that's what so cool about it. Oke, easy to know that almost everyone is dyeing but that's not the point. The point is this movie from Jamie Blanks is great great acting and great story this could get an A+Greetings
