Summary: the series could've gone with dignity...
Review: had it ended with this conclusion when the series was at its peak the series could've gone out with some dignity rather than have part 9 made which just ruined the whole setup...this was a dark film made in 1989 which was the perfect setting. parts 7 and 8 had the series at its peak and should've been the perfect conclusion.

Summary: the best one...
Review: this one is the best of the series since it is very dark even for a jason movie and since the 80s were the best time for horror movies. it is nice to see jason get out of the woods and into the city of new york. even though the movie is at its best in the end, it is all worth it.

Summary: It doesn't deserve a star!
Review: Jason's back once again in this seventh sequel to the famous Friday the 13th. Why and how they could bring Jason back so many times is beyond me? Let us review what has happened to Jason over the past years. He's been chopped..axed...hit by lightning, chained under water and covered in deadly toxic waste (which happens in this one) then in the final one he is blown to bits and still lives. Does this maniac ever die? Will this silly series ever die? In the latest series of the long running saga Jason is accidentally released by electocution from an anchor (!) and boards a loveboat. Making his way on to a cruise, he butchers as many people as possible. After this is done he makes his way through Manhattan, leaving only 2 of the crew members left. Can Rennie and her boyfriend kill this monstrous fiend once and for all. Be prepared for the final showdown! What a cliche! Latest news just in...a NINTH sequel is planned for Friday the 13th. Jason X and also a joint sequel partnership between Nightmare on Elm St. and Friday the 13th- Jason Vs.Freddy. I've said enough....haven't I?

Summary: was dope
Review: this was dope but the only bad thing about it was that jason took off his mask at the end and looks disgusting. but the theme was really dark and the mood fit for a late 80s movie which the 80s were the best time for horror movies.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: the perfect conclusion....
Review: this film, which is the best one, would've been the perfect conclusion to the friday series but then they had to go and ruin it with jason goes to hell which was bad. why couldn't they have let it end here with the best?

Summary: the best "friday"
Review: this be the best friday hands down. jason finally gets out of the woods where he's been kept for so long and gets into some new territory...this movie should've been rated higher which is why i gave it 5 stars

Summary: Argh!
Review: I am a big Friday fan, but this film was, quite simply, awful. Definitely not in the mold of the best Fridays. And WHERE is the gore! The MPAA were so damn harsh with the Friday series after Number 1, and it's a shame. I have to give credit for that boxing match with Jason though, and that guy's head flying off with one punch. Nice. Other than that, this is a pile of bunk. Go and rent Part 4, or Part 6.

Summary: this one is really cool!
Review: i have seen friday the 13th 1,2,3, and 8th.the eighth one finally has a different plot than the 1st-3rd.camp crystal lake counselors being stalked by jason.that is probably why they all didnt get any stars.but this one has the coolest violence in it.good for scary movie fans.but it wasnt scary.but still good

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: "on the darkest side..."
Review: this is the best film in the series, it is the most entertaining of all 9 of them. this one has the most original and best concept of all. instead of killing camp counselors in the woods jason is able to get out to some new territory. Rob Hedden very imaginatively and creatively wrote/directed this film. Had this not been the 8th installment, i think this film would've gotten better attention...the attention that it deserves. but since it WAS the 8th installment, normal people were tired of the just about worn-out concept and just blew this one off as "just another slasher film." therefore it didn't get the attention it deserved. the acting in this film was even slightly greater than what it had been in earlier films. this film was darker than the others and the dark theme made it stand out....5 stars

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Worth seeing just for the last 15 minutes.
Review: Jason is revived by a power cable dislodged by an anchor and before long is stalking a cruise ship, one of the inhabitants of which once encountered him under Crystal Lake.

Without doubt the best film of the series. The characters are more interesting and varied than before, the ship out on the sea makes for a good isolated environment, there is for once a proper plot, Jason is at his best and the scenes in New York are a treat. If you want to see only one Friday the 13th film then make it this one.
