Summary: Well made directed sequel.
Review: Director Rick Rosenthal was the choice by John Carpenter & Debra Hill to direct their screenplay. John Carpenter didn`t to the time to directed, he was busy after making Escape From New York and Now working on The Thing. The film picks up, right after the first film ended. Micheal pursue his goal to destory Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis). Now Laurie is ended up in a hospital. Dr. Loomis (Donald Pleasence) is trying to find Micheal and finish him for good. Once Micheal enter the hospital is killing people one by one to get her.Some of the suspense moments between Micheal and Laurie are first-rate. Story is well written script the last 20 minutes are excellent. You wonder why Micheal and Dr. Loomis are still alive from the fire but doesn't make sense with the another part of the different trilogy from Halloween 4 from H6: The curse of Micheal Myers. Halloween 2 is more like the original in some way but much more violent and gory. DVD is in the first time in a non anamorphic widescreen (2.35:1) transfer. The picture quality is a fine but not great transer. Dolby Surround 2.0 surround sound is quite good also. Also Production Notes of the film is also alivable. Travia:Watch for the comedian Dana Carvey from Saturday Night Live. He plays an assistant camera man, we can only see him by the sides of his face. Grade:A-. Panavision.

Summary: The Halloween massacre continues
Review: "Halloween 2" is a great sequel to the first movie in the series. Michael Myers is at it again as the saga continues. Armed with only a fatal knife, he is killing everybody in his path. Of course, his ultimate goal is to find his main counterpart, Jamie Lee Curtis, and put her away. The police and everybody else must find Michael Myers and try to kill him before he terrorizes the whole city. What makes "Halloween 2" so good is the performance that Jamie Lee Curtis puts on. "Halloween 2" goes along at a steady pace until it gets to the last 30 minutes. Once it gets to the last 30 minutes, the action and suspense pick up dramatically to make this a great movie. The main action in the movie takes place at a hospital that Jamie Lee Curtis is staying at. The movie also has one of the best storylines of any of the "Halloween" movies, and the effects aren't bad either. If you like the "Halloween" series, I recommend getting "Halloween 2." If you haven't ever seen any of the "Halloween" movies, I would recommend seeing the original before you see this one.

Summary: I Love Halloween 2, hate this DVD.
Review: I don't know why people are praising this DVD version of Halloween 2. Goodtimes is a cr*p video production company and they just reinforced that with this bad DVD. First of all large harsh dancing areas of one color are seen even in the bright protions of the DVD and really get annoying in the dark. Secondly, the transfer is way too dark. I can't see anything! I have to put the brightness up so high which results in the black bars being illuminated and also seeing that the black bars are alot brighter (and browner! ) than the movie viewing area itself. ANCHOR BAY, PLEASE GET THE RIGHTS FROM GOODTIMES AND SHOW THEM WHAT A DVD IS SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE! Oh yes there are no extras to boot.

Review: I THOUGHT THIS HALLOWEEN WAS REALLY GOOD.IT WAS VERY ENTERTAINIG, AND VERY SCARY.MICHAEL WAS A REAL TOUGH GUY IN THIS MOVIE.ALSO THIS MOVIE TOLD ABOUT OTHER HORROR MOVIE GREATS SUCH AS NIGHT OF- THE LIVING DEAD AND THE THING.I WOULD DEFFINETLY RECCOMEND THIS GREAT SEQUEL TO A LEGENDARY MOVIE.

Summary: A great sequal robbed of the respect it deserves
Review: I dont care what any critic says about this movie, this is by far the one of the best sequals ever made. The thing that makes this movie great is that it dosnt let you down like most other movie sequals do. This movie continues right where the first one ended sending jamie lee to the hospital after her encounter with michael. Michael ends up stalking her in the hospital, and a shocking secret is reavealed about the connection between jamie lee and michael. Even though this one has alot more gore and lacks the suspense of the first one, it still remains one of my favorite horror movie sequals of all time. Definatly check it out!

Summary: Respectable Sequel
Review: "Halloween II" picks up directly at the end of the original film, and sends survivor Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) to the hospital to nurse her wounds. Unfortunately for her and most of the cast, Micheal Myers follows. Donald Pleasence and Nancy Stephens also reprise their roles as well.Directed by Rick Rosenthal and scripted by John Carpenter and Debra Hill, "Halloween II" is a very respectable sequel. There is a lot more blood and gore in this one (which came in the post-"Friday the 13th" era), but unlike some of the later sequels, this one still has that "Halloween" feel about it. The finale is also very tense and wraps up the story pretty well -- you could view the original and this one without any of the other sequels and have a complete story.The DVD is presented in 2.35:1 ratio and does not contain any extras aside from some brief production notes. But the movie is good, and its a bargain price, so pick it up and make it a "Halloween" night.

Review: Halloween 2 can be summed up in one word EXCELLENT. One could go even as far as to say that it is better than the original. I certainly can admit that I tend to watch the second one more than the first because it has a better ending and a better beginning. The opening scenes start up right where the first movie left off and the ending is thrilling. PLEASE watch this movie! Some may say the sequel is not as good as the original but that is nonsense. I have watched practically every horror movie more than once and this is one of the top ten of all time easily. Besides do we really watch a horror movie for its acting or ability to fit into popular culture as critics argue. The answer is NO. Halloween 2 is a perfect example of a great horror movie one which attempts to entertain not win awards. After all aren't horror movies the most entertaining and fun to watch anyhow!

Summary: One of the best horror sequels in recent memory.
Review: In some ways, Halloween 2 is original. Instead of fast-forwarding one year, it picks up right where the original left off. It maintains the original cast and adds more to the story instead of simply rehashing the story from the original. In many ways, however... it falters. The star, Jamie Lee Curtis, is reduced to crawling around and murmuring like a stroke victim. Donald Pleasence often shouts the exact same speeches he shouted in the first movie and the new actor portraying Michael Mysers doesn't look AT ALL like the actor who played him in part 1. Whoo! Those faults aside, Halloween 2 does deliver the goods. Characters aren't lined up one by one and knocked off like in most horror movies. They are slowly and methodically bumped off in rather memorable ways without disturbing the slowly building suspense. The ending, by the way, is a knock-out. If the series would have ended here I would have been greatly pleased. It didn't... and because of that fact (and that fact alone) Halloween 2 does feel a little dated. But make no doubt about it, this is as good as horror sequels get.

Review: This movie is the best sequel from halloween movies at all . Its explain why Michael Mayers return to his home, and what is his mission in his townhome. Jammie Lee Curtis (Sream Queen) play the best role in this movie she show her best act play, what I like it and Donald Pleasance this 2 parts was the best ones what he plays, I really enjoy this movie and I will recomended to people to wath.
