Summary: More of the night HE came home !
Review: ''Halloween 2'' is where the first film left off, and both are really supposed to be one movie ! They must have put 1 & 2 apart probably because it would have been TOO long ! Anywayz, the horrifying, terrifying story continues on, after Michael Myers was shot 6-times in the chest(by a magnum I think !) and was possibly left for dead . NOT !! Myers somehow took the fall and continues to hunt down Laurie(Jaimie Lee Curtis)who is recovering at a hospital . But the old man, Dr.Loomis (Donald Pleasance)is also on Michaels' tail, and must stop the bloodshed before even more wind up dead . Jaimie runs into Michael at the clinic, where she once again is on the run from the masked-psycho ! Loomis steps in and wipes-out the killer by blowing him up . But is Michael REALLY defeated this time ??

Summary: An surprisngly well made sequel.
Review: On the same night in 1978, Dr. Loomis (Donald Pleasence) thought he killed Micheal Myers but he has escaped. Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) has survived from the murderer and now been taken to the Hospital. Micheal is following Laurie and Killing the Hostipal Workers, one by one, to get Laurie but There`s a Dark Secret about Micheal and Laurie. Directed by Rick Rosenthal (American Dreamer, Bad Boys, Distant Thunder) made a terrific Sequel, which is very entertaining (although it lacks Suspense from the Original). DVD from Goodtimes, has an good non-anamorphic Widescreen (2.35:1) transfer and an fine Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround. DVD from Universal has an impressive anamorphic Widescreen (2.35:1) transfer and an excellent Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo/6 Channel Surround Sound. One of the best Sequels ever made. The only thing is missing in Both DVD's are the Deleted Scenes were shown in T.V. Versions or on the Website. Produced & Written by John Carpenter & Debra Hill (Halloween, The Fog). Panavision. Summary: Spectacular Sequel!
Review: The suspense may have not been as well crafted as Halloween 1, but this one is still one of my favorite horror movie sequels, right up there with Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman. This baby was handled very well, so well that, there's really no reason why this shouldn't be watched right after the first film.
I'd like to refer to this as the Empire Stikes Back of horror sequels, if it weren't for the epic George A. Romero's Dawn Of The Dead. The nudity and gore in this one are nicely handled to show-off artistic freedom, if not just for fun. The widescreen aspect ration of this film is apart of what defines this series as artistic campyness. Following entries like Halloween 4 and 5 would fail to administer much suspense, for my liking. But Halloween 6 and H20 returned the series to integrity, if not always coherent continuity

Summary: Very Original & Scary!
Review: I liked this second entry into the Halloween saga moreso than I liked the original but not as much as I enjoyed the fourth movie, which will ALWAYS be my favorite chapter of the ongoing Halloween storyline. What I liked most about this movie is how fresh it feels. The locale and the new characters that it provides keeps this sequel from looking just like any ol' horror movie. Of course, the usual suspects are here as well. Jamie Lee Curtis reprises her role as Laurie Strode and Donald Pleasance is back as Dr. Sam Loomis. One warning, though... this movie picks up right where the first Halloween leaves off (immediately following the final scene, to be exact!) so it kinda helps if you see that movie first.

Review: This is an atmospheric and scary sequel - really worth to watch and own if you like the first part! Pros:

- a new version from Universal Studios is now available, however I don't own it and I have no idea what extras may be on it or how good the quality is

Summary: The Best Sequel That Actually Succeeds At Being Scary!
Review: Halloween 2 is a great movie. Why it is so trashed and bashed around and ripped apart by criticts I may never know. It's the only sequel to succeed at actually being scary. Starting with Part 3, the films just weren't scary. They lost their creepy atmosphere and were obviously being made for the money (aside from the sadly underrated and very well made third film). But, Part 2 picks up on the very same night as the original horror film, which is what makes it work. In most scary movie sequels, they pick up 5 or 6 years later, and thus they lose their scare factor. [...] Halloween 2 is so very sadly underrated. I consider it to be just as classic as the original film. It's a lot darker, and only about 1 minute has any daylight, where as about a half hour was in daylight in the original film. But, this movie's actually pretty scary! The scene with the security guard in the warehouse will give ou the shivers! There are several extremely creepy, eerie scenes in this one. Jamie Lee is given a lot less to do, and barely has any dialogue, but what she does have to do, she does well. Donald Pleasance starts to go a little insane in this one (he'd get REALLY insane in later entries), and there is an overall creepy atmosphere to the whole film. It's pretty difficult to, 3 years later, film a movie that takes place on the same night, but the movie does this very well (the same channel is still having classic horror movies on, nice touch). John Carpenter wrote the film, but didn't direct. I think that Rick Rosenthal does great as director. Dick Warlock puts on the spray painted Captain Kirk mask for this entry, and is the only good actor to play Michael aside from Nick Castle in the film. He doe a great job. Nancy Stephans (who had a small part in the original film) returns to play a much more important part. The film does have all the suspense of the original, but also adds truckload of gore to spice it up. Apparently John Carpenter filmed these gory scenes behind Rosenthal's back. That's certainly not a bad thing, I don't mind gore. The movie is a lot more gruesome than the first. A girl gets her entire body drained of blood and one chick gets a needle through her eye. Yikes! [...] People dissipointed with the original films lack of blood, this one should satisfy you a lot more. [...] Halloween 2, to me, is just as much a classic as the original, and I highley recommend it. [...]

Summary: A Great Sequel To One Of The Best Horror Films Ever Made!
Review: The nightmare of Halloween continues in this chilling sequel. The knife-wielding psychotic left for dead in the original film returns with a thirst for vengeance. This is a great sequel to HALLOWEEN. It has the original characters, unlike some films, and the story doesn't change, making the film a big amount of confusion. It all continues from where it started. After this sequel to HALLOWEEN, it starts to get bad though. That's why I would stick with the first two films. They're both pretty much scary, I'll tell you that. HALLOWEEN II is always good to watch right after the first film, if you're up all night watching horror movies. It's a direct continuation. That's another thing that's great about HALLOWEEN II. It was made three years after HALLOWEEN's original release, and the producers managed to keep the right characterizations for the sequel. Michael Myers walks the same and kills in the same manner as he did in the first one. If you feel like renting HALLOWEEN II, then make sure you rent it on the same night as the first HALLOWEEN. It will make a lot more sense. I hope my review was helpful to you!

Review: Picking up where Halloween left off,Donald Pleasence looks over the balcony and Michael's body is missing.couple of minutes later the cops come and take Laurie to a hospital to treat her cuts.Laurie knows he will return and he does.Michael Myers sneaks into the hospital,killing anybody he sees.Now,Laurie and Donald Pleasense's character must survive this terrible night.
For tonight is Halloween!This is one of the most great squels I ever seen.You really should see this.A scary movie for Halloween night.

Summary: Respectable sequel, but not as good
Review: "Halloween II" picks up at the night that "Halloween" left off. Laurie Strode (role reprised by Jamie Lee Curtis) is admitted to the hospital, terrified that Michael isn't dead and coming after her. Michael indeed comes after her, leaving behind a more higher body count and is considerably more gory than its predessor. "Halloween II" fails to deliver on the terrific amount of shock that "Halloween" does and despite the script written by Carpenter, well, this fails to live up mostly to its expectations, which the fake shocks and premarital sex must have been derived from the insipid "Friday the 13th." Still, I give the movie credit because it kind of wraps it up, until "Halloween H20" opens the myth up 20 years after, because it has SOME genuine shocks and just because Jamie Lee Curtis is in it. But the latter, weaker sequels, including the terribly misnamed "Halloween 3: The Night of the Witch," don't do the three good "Halloween" movies justice. Rated R for violence, language, and for nudity.
