Rating: Summary: Best alien movie of all time!! Review: I like the idea of aliens taking over the school, and because it would be really cool if it happened some day.
Rating: Summary: An edge-of-your-seat thrill ride that keeps you guessing Review: Kevin Williamson has redeemed himself (almost) for Scream 2! "The Faculty" is a fun, scary movie with great acting and plenty of scares. I was very disappointed that cocaine gets so glorified, but on the whole it's really a great movie I'd reccomend to anyone!
Rating: Summary: GREAT MOVIE!! I LOVED IT!! Review: This movie kicks total but!! You have to get it today if you haven't saw it yet!! You wont be sorry! Josh Hartnett is sooooo hott in every scene!!!! I Love Him!! :o)
Rating: Summary: Finally a hip, edgy horror movie that manages a good plot. Review: The last good horror flick to come out was Urban Legend but look out. The Faculty shows that good acting and horror films can actually happen on the same screen. I was glued to the set for this movie and although the idea of teachers that are aliens scared me away (by thinking it was a cheesy idea) the director managed to pull it off and in the end they came out with a fine piece of work. I recomend it for everyone and when the price drops for VHS it will be in my collection.
Rating: Summary: Hip and Scary! Review: From the director of "Desperado" and "From Dusk Till Dawn" and screenplay by the writer of "Scream" and "Scream 2"! At Herrington High School, the students think their teachers are aliens. THEIR RIGHT! It's a thrilling and edge of your seat ride! Elija Wood,Jordana Brewster, and Salma Hayack star in this scary sci-fi flick about aliens that take over a high school. I would compare it to "Alien", "Species" and "Disturbing Behavoir". See it, you'll love it!
Rating: Summary: The best horror movie ever, fantastic cast and storyline Review: I first saw "The Faculty" on a plane ride to London and was immediately hooked. I ended up watching it three times just on the plane ride. I thought each of the cast members gave an outstanding performance, and had a great chemistry. I saw some actors that I was already a fan of (Jon Stewart, Josh Hartnett, Elijah Wood, Usher Raymond), and found plenty of new favorites (Shawn Hatosy, Clea DuVall, especially, as well as Jordana Brewster, Laura Harris, and the entire cast). I loved the unraveling of the plot, and how it wasn't based on science fiction only, it also dealt with the average confused teenager. The friendships and relationships that develop between the characters add so much to the plot, making it more than just a horror movie. The concept of the aliens and how the kids were able to use thier talents and areas of knowledge figure out exactly who and what the aliens were was clever, and the script couldn't have been better. The movie made me laugh, scream, and even cry. It kept me on the edge of my seat. I strongly recommend this movie, and if I could give it six stars I would. The best movie I've ever seen.
Rating: Summary: Fast Times At Ridgemont High vs The Thing! Review: How much fun can one person have watching a movie? Allot if you watch this one. This was a pleasant surprise of a movie! Dimension films has done it once again. With the successes of Scream, Scream 2, I Know What You Did Last Summer, it's sequel, Mimic...(need I go on) Dimension has built a reputation for producing quality horror/suspense films. All the actors in this movie do a good job of pulling it off, Patrick Harris, Pipier Laurie and Bebe Neuwirth all are campy/serious in this movie and it really works. The young talent in this film have done the teen flick genre proud. Special effects are no slouch in this movie either, stay out of the faculty closet is my advice to you! Get this movie...you won't be disappointed....I wasn't. Go Dimension Films....what's next for us horror fans! Whatever it is I'll be there!
Rating: Summary: Fun, but not oscar material Review: The young cast was great. The adults were ordinary. The plot was hackneyed, unbelievable, but fun to watch. My teenagers and I laughed the entire time. The one thing my teenagers kept saying was that with all the public hype to discount drug-taking this particular video insists and promotes drug-taking to avoid alien possession. And if teenagers recognize the drug promotion plot, then parents should view the video with their children. Enjoy the video, laugh at the antics of the special effects, and discuss the "drug-thing" - its a good stepping stone to having a non-argumentative discussion about the value of not taking drugs.
Rating: Summary: Surprisingly Good! Review: I rented this flick expecting nothing more than a stupid, SCREAM-like "horror" movie...well, I was wrong. Yes, it does have all the teeny-bopper stars in it....but the movie admits the "borrowed" storylines of Invasion of the Body Snatchers and the like by referencing them a few times throughout the film, which I liked. While this Kevin Williamson era of "horror" we are in right now is annoying me, THE FACULTY is a movie that stands on its own. This film has you saying "Oh...****" quite often, and the plot, premise and movie as a whole is just downright entertaining. I rather liked the cast, and Rodriguez's directing is awesome. Also noteable was the performance of Robert Patrick (Terminator 2), who delivers in THE FACULTY as a dark and menacing football coach turned alien. All in all, well worth your time and your money....
Rating: Summary: Great flick, keeps you on the edge of your seat Review: Thought it displayed high school kids like they really are today. The plot was interesting and it had some neat surprises. Did not know who was the alien till the end. Nice characters, who had a chemistry that worked. This one is a purchaser for the Horror video Library.
